Spoon S2000 Race Car '00

Just a quick update this morning. I have been using this car to grind on the Deep Forest 500pp seasonal pretty effectively, so I thought I would share it. This is a very light tune, as the car felt pretty good from stock. I have not changed the springs or downforce from stock.

For sure it is very heavy! I have been so busy fixing tunes and making new ones that I haven't tried La Sierra yet! I'll have to give it a go.

Hello I am a big fan of your tunes, especially the ones for oddball cars like the Toyota sports 800. I would love it if you could do a tune for the C6 ZR1 at 600pp.

Can be driven reasonably quickly without much effort but very tricky to extract its maximum performance. A real challenge.

So I live in the Southern United States. The region is notorious for having some of the most backwards thinking, uneducated people on Earth. Brutos e Incultos in Spanish. I believe those of you from Australia know them as Bogans.

Naturally, pickup trucks are very popular here.

There was a guy who lived at the entrance of my neighborhood, who had one of these converted to a mud truck. For those unfamiliar with the phenomenon-"mudding," essentially involves finding (or creating) a deep mud hole and getting stuck in it. On purpose. This gives your inebriated buddies an opportunity to deploy their otherwise decorative winches.

Deploying things is totally awesome. It's totally better than just using something the regular way. Much more Manly. Like, the next time I use a towel, I'm going to deploy it instead.

Anyway, back to my neighbor. The truck sported a red and black, tiger stripe paint job; had a 4" lift, a snorkel and smokestack. It also had the doors removed, (which is legal here,) presumably so that the driver could revel in filth as well.

I am sure that it's presence damaged property values in the neighborhood for years.

We have that guy here in central Misery, I've seen them in Iowa. They must be migrating north like the armadillos.

Armadillo: possum on the half shell...

They dig a hole & bring in tankers of water to make a mud hole around here. Seems to be quite the happening. Lots of drunk rednecks getting DUIs & filling the county coffers. Throw in the off the wall wet T-shirt contests, it can get quite entertaining. Oh, we can't forget the drunken cat fights.
Not all the fun is at the local dirt track.

Seems the small tracks aren't faring all that well. Lower car counts, smaller crowds.

That sounds eerily familiar. ...

That really sucks. There are so few tracks anyway that time on them is at a premium. Luckily I live 30 minutes from Road Atlanta, and 3 hours from Roebling Road. I have several quality drag strips nearby, and our dirt tracks are going strong; but this is the ancestral home of that kind of stuff. Like I said though, they are crowded and time is at a premium these days.

Having a home course is awesome, though, even if it's a dirt track.

I will play with your truck tunes, trucks seem to be another thing overlooked this go around.
We have Kansas speedway & they have added a road course. We used to have I-70 speedway, & the trucks raced out there. I think it's toast. Lakeside speedway was asphalt, now is dirt. I don't think the dirt tracks are the problem, it's the asphalt tracks. there were never that many to start with. Road courses are even rarer, the one in KC & then there is another in Topeka, Kansas. I think there is one in St. Louis but I'm not sure.

View attachment 248725 Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta passo corto CN.2521 '61

This car almost looks better than the 250 GTO (almost). Similar power/weight but passo corto; so live rear axle presence is exacerbated. I absolutely love this car because it is a bit flawed. Like many thoroughbreds, it demands your undivided attention (and exquisite throttle control) to drive quickly; each lap a heroic effort. That's what an older Ferrari is supposed to do-make you a hero.

Update 11/1/14 updated for new physics.

This car can be used for the current Ascari 550pp Ferrari Seasonal. It IS possible to beat the Enzo, but it is quite challenging-are you a bad enough dude to save the president?!
