I think we can also use the cars intended for traffic, seeing the statements about choosing finishes or engines, I wouldn't be surprised if Kunos makes the versions of traffic cars using those cars that will be available to the player.

One of the things I'd really want Kunos to clarify, is this whole dealership thing. Does it mean that, by spotting a VW Golf Mk8, we can confirm all Golf Mk8s? Same for the Giulia, the Huracan, the M4 (4-series), and so on? Because they talk about being to able to choose different engines, if the car is sold with these different options. However, all the specific cars we've seen so far only have one engine option. For example, there is no second engine option for the Alfa Giulia GTam... that option only exists on more entry level versions.

That's a lot of work to implement, I think.

It might actully be what the racing genre really needs.
Yes, offering a game like the first one might have been too redundant.
On PC we're starting to have almost too many sims, some of which are quite similar in terms of content.
(ACC, raceroom, rfactor 2, LMU, automobilista 2, reinsport, iracing...)

So it's a very good thing that the developers have taken into account the mods that were appreciated. (large map, traffic etc)
and offer an experience that goes beyond circuit racing.

The open world will be fully explorable in all its 1600km² including off-road, Nords will be the center of the map, the map will originally come out with Nurburgring and the closest surroundings (they don't know how much they will put in yet) and it will be expanded.

We will be able to destroy our car completely in terms of mechanics, in terms of visual damage it will be limited due to the car brands (the brands are even more restrictive than in the past)

The map will have practically all the weather of EVO except for the generation of puddles and gravity with water which will be a little more simplified compared to the circuits for performance reasons (doing this for the open world map would be very costly in terms of resources), they say no to snow, they don't rule it out in the future but they don't confirm it either, Misha recording in the snow was an unfortunate coincidence.

There will be businesses (automotive-related, for example tuning shops) that are not in real life for gameplay reasons

Regarding the real businesses in the area that asked to be on the map, they have received more than 300 requests and are reviewing them one by one.

The map has been made in collaboration with a company that has scanned the map for the German Government.

The gas stations will be functional and we will have to refuel.

There will be no speed limits but they do not rule out including police in the distant future after version 1.0, after all when that time comes there will be common vehicles for traffic (such as ambulances or vans) that players will be able to use in the open world then.

The open world challenges will be numerous and there will even be events such as stages and circuits within the open world itself.

On the subject of other type of licenses for online, there will be a ranking system and leagues that will be an evolution of the system done in Competizione and there will be filters in this regard (matchmaking has not been confirmed unfortunately)

Thanks to ACC, eSports and the pandemic, car brands have gotten even closer to Kunos and are now fully collaborating with Kunos even more to use their products as their simulators and are supporting the company with EVO giving even more details and even letting them test with real cars.

Two confirmed cars from the first EA build of EVO will be the Alfa Romeo Guilia GTAM and the Alfa Romeo Junior Veloce Electric.

Another thing that has been mentioned is that Marco has confirmed the finishes and different types of gearboxes for the same car.

The first trailer was completely in-game as you can see after the Gameplays, it was not CGI because they didn't have time to do that.

Nurburgring will also be present apart from the open world as its own map for the non-open world modes.

The AI has been remade from scratch and just like in previous Assetto it uses the same physics as the player, they have created a learning system for the AI to improve its behavior the more it runs and with its reactions also making each one react differently, they will also have different behaviors and personalities between each other and the player (they give the example that you could find a very aggressive and fast AI and that you could recognize it later in another race and they have also confirmed that they can make mistakes and learn from them, the AI does not use scripted parameters of one or several lines like in AC1, it is designed with human behavior in mind to be more natural)

The multiplayer will be released in the second or third build of Early Access, they do not want to release it in the first build because it is important that the community tests each section of the game as it is released, otherwise we would go crazy.

Early Access pricing will go up as the game expands (similar to AC1 and ACC), pricing will be aggressive in a good way, everything released during EA will be free content for the game, there will be no paid DLC during EA (some developers should take note)

That's encouraging for me because of all of the focus that seems to have been turned on this game because of open world, I have zero interest in it. Making it totally optional I think is a good choice.

I guess they are aiming for Q4 2025 for v1.0 launch because that is the biggest sales period for games generally, hopefully that will mean a console release in early 2026 🫰

I'm hoping the "Driving School Licence" system is optional, or at least doesn't prevent us from using cars for circuit racing.
 
All of this sounds good. I wonder if getting gas is optional in the open worked part. As I just go cruising and not worry about anything.

It will be optional. It was on that point specifically when he said that the more realistic you play it, the more rewards you get but it will be up to the player to define their own experience and how they wanna play it.
