The one in Pcars ? I couldn't really recognize it as Suzuka. I'm still using G27 as I bought it new replacing my DFGT for GT6. Still waiting whether GTSoon could make me buy a new wheel and ps4.

While Laguna Seca In Pcars is pretty spot on. Last time i played Pcars, i remembered i lapped Laguna Seca for few hour using the Lotus 49 cosworth. Its a very interesting combo :P
That's because it's not Suzuka, it's a fantasy track based around the general idea of Suzuka, as they didn't have the licence for Suzuka.

Have the career exspanded since the game was released? Or is the game done when all the career races is finished for us singleplayers?

I can live without Suzuka, but i hope they will add Circuit de la Sarthe :).

The game is really hard, some novice races is impossible for me to win, even on easy .

If i had to choose i would choose Le Mans over Suzuka :).

I doubt they will update career, apart from AI fixes, but each time there is an game update special events get an update. That's nearly the same thing but single events, 91 on PS4 as apposed to 123 on PC. As for a single player like me, race weekend is my focus point.

No chance of Circuit de la Sarthe as they have pointed out that without day/night transition there isn't much point.

Agreed on that. In race weekend, easy difficulty is about right. If you have the option to nail a good lap in qualifying, winning is normally fairly straightforward, it seems (minimal playtime thus far, admittedly)...

Not sure why they made it not so alike. The one during this period is way similar. But thats a big problem isn't it ?

@jm79 take a look at the one here.

Yep and Automobalista has been beset with issues around not having licences, including getting removed from Steam over the issue at one point.

As such I'm sure the more conservative route PCars followed may well have been the better one from that point of view.

I don't mind a daytime version of La Sarthe, it would be better than nothing :).

SMS knew exactly how much to change to avoid a license debacle like Automobilista's. Because it did in fact start out as 100% Suzuka while they were still negotiating the license. They also use fake names while it's not yet secured, to prevent issues when people share screenshots, etc. So the Sakitto name stuck. As a reputable racing game dev, you also do not want to piss off license holders in the present, because it will severely impact your bargaining position in the future.

For street tracks it's different, you can get away with a lot more there (e.g. Monaco) since it's a public location.

A man after my own heart. I gave up on PCs when every time I bought a new game I need more RAM and upgraded graphics card at best!
That's probably when you start off with an old banger. Buy one with enough CPU and a decent GPU and it lasts you years just like a console would. Like was mentioned already for between 500- 700 bucks you can have just that.

I own mine now for a year and a half and i expect to get 2 years more out of the GPU before i would have to replace it. Just a matter of turning down the graphics a bit in 2018 before i do :P

This game is really starting to annoy me now. The AI are brutal, and I feel as though I need to spend a heap of time practicing alone. Which I will do because this game is making me look like absolute crap.
Yea starting to bug me now too. it's ok in race weekend as I can be conservative, but in career mode I have to go all out, no mistakes etc, last night in one of thd special events ( BMW E30 at Maggione) I put in 5 clean consistent laps then I was taken out half way into the last lap. It's too much effort for what might be a reward. AI update can't come soon enough.

Stefano said they're working on custom championships but doesn't know when it will arrive.

Are they going to update AI?
Yes. You are still driving the old version on consoles if i'm not mistaken, on PC AI behavior was recently updated so that will be done to the consoles too, and they also confirmed that they are looking at the difficulty balancing (easy being too hard).

No there isn't. Just one of the things in the PC version that is missing in action.
It really bothers me how many things are missing from the console port. They might not have dumbed down the game as far as physics or AI goes - in fact, we know the AI is too good right now and needs to be adjusted - but I think they've dumbed down the game substantially based on all the missing things from the PC version. I would be steaming mad if I were a console player. I'm not trying to rile anyone up. At least the most important things are there from the PC port, but there are too many things missing that really make AC a great game.

I would be as frustrated as you right now if I were a console player too. However, once they adjust the AI it will seem 1,000 times better - realistically competitive. Hang in there man...

I'd prefer personally they keep focussing on Europe and get some lesser used tracks in the game. I find it actually pretty annoying to run the same tracks over and over again in every racing game.
I'm with you on this one. I love Suzuka, Laguna Seca, etc. but I love them because I played them in GT6. Luckily for me I do get to try all sorts of tracks being a PC player, but it would be nice to see them introduce some great tracks to the sim world. Take Bilster Berg for example. That track is Awww-Sum! I had never even heard of it until Fat-Alfie dropped that gift onto the community. That place is definitely in my Top 5 favorite tracks right now.

Plus, wouldn't you think the lesser known circuits - or at least, circuits that never get digitized for games - would be a lot cheaper than going after the big boys who are always licensed?

If we're suggesting tracks for the Kunos guys to head to with their laser scanners, one comes to mind first: Mas du Clos. I'd like to see it immortalized in a game before it eventually succumbs to the wear and tear of time.
Mas du Clos is another track that I had never even heard of until it appeared in the Assetto Corsa community. This is a fun layout!! Here is a video of the Assetto Corsa version. Unfortunately, he is running the short-track as you'll see the left-hand turn is coned off, therefore he doesn't have to deal with that extremely challenging curved down-hill to the left corner that makes me crap my pants every single time I take it. I've gone thru a lot of boxer shorts...

Once again, another famous circuit that only PC Assetto Corsa players can enjoy. It's only daytime, of course, but like you said it is much, much better than nothing. As Lewis_Hamilton_ showed us a few days ago, a 50+ car starting grid can really allow for some awesome diverse cars racing together. I never really thought I enjoyed that circuit much...until I switched to Assetto Corsa and realized I would not longer be able to drive it. Then the depression started. ;)

I have a question for console players because I've never seen a single PS4/XBoxOne player mention this yet. Are you guys able to adjust the track surface quality? On PC there is Optimum, Fast, Green, Slow, Dusty & Old. Please tell me they've at least given you guys that.

I agree, I've built my current PC 3 years ago (i7@3.5GHz), only upgrading the GPU last year. (and some extra ram for multitasking - 16GB). I really didn't need to upgrade (GTX 780 to a 980) but I like the eye candy. I have no choice with my XOne, the graphical capabilities are the same as when I first purchased in 2014 and will remain the same until a new console comes along. I have no choice to improve the graphics of say Forza 6. Not that FM6 graphics are bad, not at all, but I can't take advantage of better hardware if I so please.
I run all of the sims at 3440x1440, if I connect my XOne to this UltraWide monitor my only choice is 1920x1080 - and I have no options to improve the anti-aliasing, etc.
I get it, some don't understand or like the complexity of a computer. It's a matter of choice, but I surely don't have any real problems gaming on a computer - and I'm an old fart. Start up computer, start Steam, game. And most every sim runs great.
99% my of gaming is racing. It will be interesting to see Forza Horizon 3 running on a Windows PC, one of the best large production racing games. Should be a nice departure from the more serious PC sims.

Haven't paid much attention to Mods for a couple of months. Love the look and flow of this track especially for the older cars. Going to give it a go soon. Thanks:tup:👍

@ALB123 No, I just looked at race weekend and there's no option to change tracks grip/condition. Only temp., and cosmetic stuff like clouds and time of day.

Edit: And just tried setting temp. at 10c... You know game gives me 100% track grip and 36c temp of asphalt.
No question Assetto Corsa (on console) is a simulation? Question is rather "of WHAT"?

This can confirm that Kunos have at least mastered being typical modern-day console developer by releasing brutaly unfinished game. And counting on fanboy armies to work their hearts out to kip a lid on it. And mouths shut. This had to be postponed - for their own future good, and of the franchise.

No you can't change the track quality. 👎 It's really bad to leave that out as a green track in race weekend would gradually rubber up during the event. A real own goal there...

Playing AC and PCars back to back and have learnt few more tricks on how to set up my FFB on PCars and its so close, PCars just needs to nail the road feel a tiny bit more, even get a smidge of canned chatter in there if they have to for PCars2, but yeah very similar and in some cars PCars is better feeling, the classic Lotus's for example IMO.
What I don't get is how Kunos had the chance to see what people wanted with PCars and what they didn't want in Forza and went ahead and picked the worst bits of Forza gameplay! Madness.
Even hardcore Forza fans were slagging off Turn 10 over the "must finish top 3"
