The AI difficulty on "females" is too hard to understand in my case.Meh, reality is overrated. Sure, it's available now, but there are so many flaws.
I want a refund.

let chickens be and let's hope kunos inserts the private lobbies before people forgets of the game existence.I had been praying Assetto Corsa would kick butt on console. As a PC player, I have nothing to lose and only things to gain by its success on the console market. For months I was sacrificing chickens to the Computer Gods, asking for great sales numbers.
For some reason, when the numbers come out, I have a really bad feeling the numbers aren't going to be very great. The delay and then f'ed up game that was published at release... Between here and a few other places I was seeing Assetto Corsa get criticized so much, and in many ways deservedly so, that so many Americans were saying "Oh man...So glad I didn't bother pre-ordering it. What a waste that would have been."
Now, I totally get the percentage of gamers who visit forums like these make up a small percentage of the game market - but it is still a sampling. When you hear Presidential Poll numbers, they have usually asked perhaps 1000 people and usually the actual numbers end up being pretty darn close. +/- 3 points in either direction, usually. Anyway, once Gran Turismo Sport comes out, if the physics are even halfway as good as Assetto Corsa's a ton of AC players will bail just because GT is GT. Even if GTS's "game" portion is lackluster, they'll get the numbers because so is AC's Career Mode!
And for the vast majority of console players interested in racing titles, but don't want to, or have the time to read forums like the ones I visit, if they read the Week 1 reviews the vast majority of those said "AC sucks! Controller support sucks! Career Mode sucks! AI is absolutely impossible to beat!" That last one is going to scare away a huge number of casuals. Oh yeah, and you can't put on your own aftermarket rims or put a turbo and awful sounding muffler on cars lowered down to the ground. More things casuals believe make a game good or not. I hope I'm wrong...Even if the numbers are good, but not great, that could be a huge win for Kunos -- I've got to go sacrifice another chicken.
Don't mention multiplayer trols... Last night full lobby GT3@Spa, everyone decent except one guy who kept waiting on every lap crashing anyone he could - so I saved video of his "action", just don't know how and where can I report him?
The only thing that matters is whether sales are what Kunos expects and I think they don't expect AAA numbers. It was marketed as a niche title, so sales numbers will be like that, no sense in comparing them to GT, FM, PCARS or other 'big' titles, the numbers are just too different. For some reason, when the numbers come out, I have a really bad feeling the numbers aren't going to be very great.

AFAIK, this is about as close to real numbers that you can get: http://steamspy.com/app/244210Did they ever say how many copies were sold on PC?
By niche I mean that it's targeted at a very small segment of the market. Open for a better word if you got one, didn't mean anything negative with it.Niche title
Yep,in this game if you crash it hurts and you can even die. This is too realistic even for me.Meh, reality is overrated. Sure, it's available now, but there are so many flaws.

There are plenty of legitimate reasons to complain about the console version of AC and I have no trouble with any of them. But anyone expecting a GT style game simply didn't do their research and has no legitimate cause to complain. I spent more time researching my latest purchase of a toaster than some people do in researching video games they are buying. Caveat emptor.I know what you're saying, but the trailers had that general GT style - nice music, lots of slo-mo, very very slick looking.
It doesn't communicate the very dry and stripped down 'feel' of the game, in the same way as the Dirt Rally stuff did, I think. I know it isn't clear-cut or anything, but for me, it seemed misleading.
This is not taking away anything at all from the driving experience, it's second-to-none, and I am loving it. I am merely talking about the general critical reception, and how that creates expectations in the punters of a sub-par experience.
I will try this too, see how bad I am!
Numbers on PC are well known. Last count 300k+I doubt they will ever release those kinds of numbers...

You searched one with a "fly-by" wire system to heat up the bread ?

I went with one of the Bravetti stainless steel model actually but I swear I looked at 30+ toasters before pulling the triggerLike this?
I have a few buddies who get the game and others who do not. If you spend some time getting to know the car and the game you will love it.
All I ever wanted was a proper sim for my PS4, and I got it in Assetto! I love the steep difficulty as it makes me try harder. I do agree, it would be cool to adjust the difficulty. I'm by no means fast but am learning a lot. I still love pcars too.
Yep fully agree. I did the special event at Brands Hatch in the lotus last night. I was very tentative trying not to make mistakes after a few restarts due to AI. Then about 2 and half laps into my final attempt everything clicked and I finally got how that car is meant to be driven and I got 2nd place. Was great fun and I always end up having to drag myself away from the game to go to bed. Every time I try a new car the game just gets better and it feels like a new game. When AI aren't being douchebags though.I have a few buddies who get the game and others who do not. If you spend some time getting to know the car and the game you will love it.

Hold tight, I expect that an adjustment to the AI difficulty levels to match the pc version will be forthcoming. So I was looking at the trophy list, and I'm like, this won't be to bad to platinum! Then I see 1 trophy where you have to get a gold in all special events. Definitely not platinuming this now
The difficulty is a problem, but for me the number 1 issue with AI is not the difficulty but the fact that any contact feels like you've been hit by the Titanic. There is no give in the AI cars and this leads to your race being over should contact be made.I love Assetto Corsa already , but the difficulty have to be adjusted, i gave up Monca, but i reach the goal and can move on to intermediant series 2 .

Practice, practice and then practice more. The more time you put into the track the faster you will get. They just have to do something about the difficulty, i'm trying to reach 3th place on intermediant series 1, quick race Monza on easy with the McLaren MP4-12C, but i have no chance to achieve 3th place, 4th and 5th is the best i can do..
I'm not an expert with wheels and such, but when i played Project Cars i had the opponents skill on 65-70 with default controller settings.

I'm a PC time attacker and a console racer. I will admit to dropping difficulty to easy for the race where you take on the E30 but I got it done. Other than that it's alien all the way in quick races and race weekends. Brilliant fun.Have any PC guys tried the console super AI from hell yet?
Would be interesting to see if you can handle it haha
