It's actually quite a lot of fun, not sluggish. I thought the same before i tried it but it kind of impressed me.
I haven't driven it yet but I was surprised at how popular it was on the official forums, lots of people were surprised by how much they like it. I need to give it a go soon, could be real fun for racing.
I was actually a little bit mad when I heard we were getting the Maserati Levante. Truthfully. Yeah, it was free, but that means time was being spent on the Levante that could have been spent on a
Lamborghini Huracan Avio instead.
Then I remembered the world didn't revolve around me plus I have no clue what Kunos might be contractually obligated to do. Since it was now on my system I figured I might as well try it. It won't be a Top 10 car in my rotation, but it was 100 times more enjoyable than I thought it would be. Plus, I'm sure some model of the Porsche Cayenne is coming so we should have two SUVs that we can race head to head. At least on the PC we do have access to a ton of rally tracks, simple dirt roads, snow covered tracks, etc... I can finally see why so many people like it.
I do find it funny how many times I've read snotty PC sim types spout on about why Forza is a kids arcade game and using SUV's as a reference, but now ones in AC its suddenly the most amazing thing in the world of sim racing...such is life.
Seriously? I've seen my fair share of PC snobbery when reading sim racing forums, but I've never seen someone mention SUVs being a factor in those people's opinions of why they feel the need to bash console sims. Geez... I guess it shouldn't surprise me...there are just so many fools on sim racing forums.
That's my bag baby! It's nice to cruise and race for a stretch then cruise etc with your mates. This is why I need a pc but really don't want one.
I'm exactly the same way. I enjoy a race probably as much as anybody, however, I actually prefer just driving with like minded people. No checkered flags. The only point is to enjoy our cars, maybe show off a little bit...
Even if there were not a single bug in the console version, sadly it would still be like a completely different game than the PC version. There are so many things that didn't land on the console version and I think that really sucks for the console players. So,
@lancia delta hf if you can afford it get yourself a PC that can run Assetto Corsa. Heck, you probably use a computer at home for surfing the web and stuff, right? Get a laptop. It's portable, it'll be your home computer and your gateway to Assetto Corsa heaven. Just make sure it has HDMI or Display Port output ports!
If you like cruising, there are so many layouts to blow hours on. Heck, there is a WIP of Targa Florio which is 72km long! 45 miles of driving that loops around. This particular layout isn't the greatest quality because it's only like version 0.5 right now, but it's totally driveable. Anyway, if it wouldn't be a hardship and you are really digging AC, I say you do it. You don't need some crazy water cooled i7 CPU, 2x980ti in SLI with 32GB RAM either. Fairly modest settings run it just fine. Come join the cult, I mean, the community!!
