That truly is some seriously intense concentration and patience! Of course, it could only be Red Bull.
Indeed! this guy is amazing! and if you read the article he said that he could complete the lap faster but noticed vibration on the rear wheel.. that was harder when he passed 20km/h...:D:bowdown:

Let's try to put a car on two wheels and go for the record on assetto Corsa :cheers:

I'm waiting on the 1080Ti to jump ship. I'm personally getting so sick of how far it is behind. If it is true as someome suggested the console versions could be 8 months behind. Patch 1.03 vs 1.9 on PC...
Don't get too bummed by those version numbers. I doubt we will ever have the same version number even if you were completely caught up to the PC. Unless they decided to just start calling it v2.0 so they could keep version numbers in sync.

It is also all the little things. While the game is so much fun, such enjoyment all the little things from missing widgets, accelerator, brake, fuel to tell how many laps it'll take, lack of more cars, somemore tracks, lack of lobbies/control and was shocked when I saw the PC version has a chat window...

Well ... I've done wheelies, but I've never driven my car on two wheels ... at least not for more than a fraction of a second, let alone for 45 minutes straight!

Have you done a wheelie for 37 miles on a twisty road that uphill and downhill through villages though? :sly:

Hmmm, nope. Still an Assetto Corsa thread.

@Ryan81 - Please don't triple post: that's what the Edit and Multi-quote features are for. 👍

Two little things that are missing on the consoles that I find shocking are the absence of information on the cars (description and power/torque graphic) and also a 3D view of the car models (in a studio or something).

Seriously, why? Such simple things which make the game look so cheap.

Does the PC version tell you if the ride height is too low? Can you set the ride height too low and cause sparks with some of the low profile cars? Does the PC version have Telemetry?

I'm sure on console I set it too low once and the only info I got was a different vibration through the wheel; I don't recall there even being any different noises as it was hitting the ground. Kinda the flip side to pCARS where the FFB wouldn't change but you'd get that annoying clanging noise as you were driving.

Or you might start thinking on coming to the dark side, life is much better on PC, getting DLC sooner is just one of the many perks on playing on PC. We all have to drop the training wheels eventually :sly:

Nah I don't think so. I'm not a PC guy, I like things simple. Plug 'n' Play :D

Sorry about that.

If they released the Red pack without the Ferrari some people would go ape **** and make sure we all hear about it. I want the Red pack now but it is what it is.

I just hope it's released by the end of this month...

Yes on ride height too low but no sparks.

Yes on telemetry.

OK so all I do is click 'Reply' and that will prevent triple posting? Or what?? I didn't do it deliberately, Jesus H Christ.

Like Dog said, when you hit the +Quote button you'll see a "insert quotes" button on the lower left, like this

Screen Shot 2016-11-03 at 2.38.40 PM.png

When you click that you'll see all the quotes pop up in this box, click the "Quote These Messages" button at the bottom

Screen Shot 2016-11-03 at 2.38.49 PM.png

And it will insert those into one message box for you, put your responses after the each [/quote] box like so

And then hit "Post Reply". 👍

Ok, thanks for the response guys :) I don't mind it when people explain it to me in a calm manner like that. I hate it when someone immediately flies off the handle with a curt response that is of no help at all, like SlipZtrEm did. I guess being a driving instructor has made me value patience

When someone apologizes for doing something by again doing that thing, you should be able to understand the frustration. If you didn't know what I meant when referring to triple-posting, you could have asked. Sorry it came off as "flying off the handle" though; it wasn't the intention.

The guys up top have provided a pretty thorough explanation now, though. 👍

There's also two other methods:
  • the old-school approach of just hitting "Reply" on each post you want to respond to before hitting "Post Reply". This does jump you down to the bottom of a page every time though.
  • Highlighting the portions of post(s) you want to respond to, and clicking the 'Reply' that pops up. Same issue with being teleported to the bottom after each time.
Personally, I still do the old-school approach, because + Quote didn't return to the site until a short while into the current design's time.

I've always wondered what the "H" stands for in "Jesus H Christ".............. 💡 Happy? Hysterical? Hates? Hallelujah?

Update

Been testing for 3 hours straight the settings posted here and i'm getting closer to a good feeling with the car... I have some weird occurrence of the FFB getting harder or softer while going on for a bit; not sure if it has a relation to tire damage or such (yup i'm flattening a good few lol)...

Of if it is something in the cars i was driving that where getting some kind of "hydraulically assisted steering" or how it is called in english i'm clueless that would make the wheel soft, hard, soft and so... It's currently bothering me a bit as is the brakes that seems to have a super short course.

Might just be me needing to get used to it. So far i feel the FFB is still not perfect for me, but i've finally started enjoying the game better.

Some cars FFB and behaviour seems better or great ( the GT2 ferrari is a joy, ffb is top notch and sound too), while others feel underwhelming. So i guess the effort to find the right setting is not finished yet :D

One thing that shocked me is; is AI always so freaking insane and suicidal at start? I had 14 (fourteen) restarts at imola with gt3s to get a cleanish start were i was just rear rammed and not crashed out completely :D

Bad luck? Also there's a few cars on grid that i'm pretty sure are not gt3 when selecting it; a few GT2 and a weird kind of prototype that were lapping 3-4 seconds faster than the group?

For setting up the ffb i used some of the resources posted here and i'm currently going at 22% power, 40 curbs and 30 road.

I followed a guide for curbs strenght that suggested to go on Magione and go on the saw curbs to set it and at 40 is perfect, you can count how many "curb's hills" you are passing through :D

At the moment my main issue is just with different FFB strenghts in various cars and with the brake pedal course. Beside that all is way way better even tought i always been running on stock setups.

In short my impressions are way more favorable now, still not confortable with those few things, but i'm sure i can get the last drop of help i need for you guys to be able to feel "at home" with the game and FFB.

PS: i ventured online and, OMG it's a dead zone! O_O Hope the private lobbies come soon, there was only 20 people Online yesterday, and that was shocking!

BTW there was a GTP guy too i took a stroll at Silverstone and had been demolished :D I guess for getting online i better fix my Wheel and tune in some proper setup :D

With regards to the AI crashing into you and so forth, please watch this here video, it might help you.
Bear in mind that i too still need to master this level of driving, but it is worth a watch and maybe learn a few tips.
