Completely removing the option to look left and right because something like 5% of the cars in the game need extra buttons is silly.

Maybe if players could set their own button layouts it wouldn't be an issue...
Set the wheel to g29.
You can look left, right and backwards on t300. Works fine for me. Takes a bit of getting used too.

Love the 911 Carrera S!! And to me the sounds are much improved, in replays too, as you can hear. And also, the brakes on the older cars now "squeak" under heavy braking.....Really loving these cars!! :) I had to keep my foot in at the end of the video there!!

Glad you're enjoying the 911 Carrera S. I like it a lot too. There has been a boatload of discussion on the official forums (PC side) that the Carrera S is too slow/under-powered in the game. Of course, manufacturers like Porsche & BMW have long been known to under-rate their engine output. However, it's strange that the Porsche engineers didn't whisper into Stefano or Aristotelis's ear and say "add 25hp to put it more inline with real world output". I think the main thread that kicked it off was a test with the Corvette Stingray, BMW M4 & Carrera S. Just throwing that out there to see if you guys have any feelings about that topic. See, on the PC side we can pull down developer apps and get 0-60 times... we can get 100kph to 200kph times... we can get all of those crazy types of car magazine performance measurements and the Porsche Carrera S did appear to be a big slower than real life reports.

Also. The older Porsche's in Porsche Pack 1... The Porsche Carrera RSR 3.0, Porsche 917/30 and Porsche 935/78... You may be curious as to the brake behavior when you get out on the track with one of those old dogs. Brake Temperature is activated on those cars, if it's behaving the way it is on PC, so you've got to get a little heat into those brakes for optimum performance. Hear that brake squeal? :D

Hope everyone is having fun...Any questions I'll try my best to answer 'em.

EDIT: Oh, the Final Gear Ratio might be wrong on the Carrera S as well. It's been reported that it is currently set to 3.44 which is the plain Carrera & Carrera Cabriolet FG. The correct FG is 3.59....I'll bring more information regarding that matter as I learn it.

The grey one is the clutch.

By the way, a game/ps4 reboot results in the T300 losing its 1080 degrees setting again...
Oh dear. Haven't tried that yet. A trip to the official forums might be in order. I saw someone post that they couldn't change brake bias on the fly with a G29 and I can't either with my T300.

I keep getting a 'content loading, try again later' message pop up, its getting rather annoying now...

I don't know if I changed something by accident but the wheel on screen used to match my T300. Now the virtual wheel turns twice as much as the real one. Can someone help me please?

It is all synced up on mine as if it was still v1.03. Didn't have to touch anything. No issues that I can see but I did have to lower the engine sound quite a bit and others (not a complaint) but the handling feels wonderful? Never been able to be as agressive in the KTM Bow as I am now.

R3 is now rear view, a bit irritating that and vote yes is triangle. Need to look that up on the Alcantara, pit button. Lovely eh having to learn the buttons all over again.

Best of all! No heavily dark grey tracks or crazy dull white clouds.

Did anyone notice worse performance since the update? Just did a race with 15 AI cars in barcelona and performance wasnt as good as i remembered it... did framerate took a hit with this update?!

I noticed it round Mugello with 15 AI. Wasn't like that before.

Im afraid it is indeed the case. I do a lot racing with full AI grid and since today, something is wrong. Damn it, Kunos...

I was actually hoping for a stealth performance optimization with this patch but we didn't get it. I like the new exposure levels and certainly the clouds are finally passable. The audio is great. I just hope they haven't stopped optimising the engine as if this patch is any indication then performance is due to keep dropping the more stuff they add/fix.

Strange that no one has tested to see if deadzone works, come on guys wakey wakey. I have and it sure is working. Gonna double check for placebo though.
Think it was a placebo .

18:00 hours is undrivable unless heavy clouds. I cant even find my way out of the car park because of the sun on tourist.

It seems the xbox patch wasnt approved by Microsoft. I wonder if it has anything to do with the performance. Maybe the frame rate is even worse on xbox now. No matter what Kunos adds, performance has to be their no. 1 priority. The frame rate was never really perfect on PS4 but today i noticed for the first time just how inconsistent the fps are. We have waited so long for this update and now the game plays worst then ever before. I get the feeling that AC on consoles is becoming a bad story at this point.

Keyboard support would fix this. While they're at it they can add UDP support so we can have apps. Haven't had the chance to try the game since the patch yet, as my internet decided to go all retro on me last night and started acting like dialup lol. Checked the download at midnight and it said 8 hours to go, so I went to bed lol.

New reboot and everything is fine...

I believe it was Stefano who said over in the Console Lounge that the code/capability is already there. It's something they're having to work out with Sony to get it to work, so it's coming. It's totally sweet running a customizable dash on an old, useless phone or tablet. I recommend a tablet, if you want a lot of info...

This is a great Android app that gets even better toward the end of the minute long video:

I found the post. The quote from Stefano regarding UDP is:

the code is exactly the same as the PC so don't worry about that, all existing apps should work straight away.
It is there but the socket gets blocked by the console, the dev is looking into it with Sony. I don't think it should be hard to make it work for next update.

Just took the Moby Dick out for a spin. I'm surprised how little front end grip it has at speeds and how much you need to turn the wheel 💡

Here's what I've noticed:

  • Many cars still suffer from engine sound cutting out. Ironically, the Panamera is probably the worst example so far and by far. Also, stereo still not working in main menu.
  • The updated sounds, effects, and audio balancing have brought many improvements. Some sound effects are arguably worse than before while others have been toned down, for better or worse.
  • Brake balance adjustments no longer work on the fly.
  • Revised values for advanced controller settings.
  • Telemetry feedback fixes in setup.
  • AI still not as good as on PC.
  • New HUD doesn't display clutch engagement on upshifts.
  • Ferrari FXX K and McLaren P1 no longer wobble when downshifting at lower revs and FXX K now shifts gears without delay.
  • Cars from the Japanese Pack no longer show low fuel warning at all times.
  • Better looking sky textures.

Cool, I'll look forward to that. I have a 10 inch Samsung tablet that I use for Pcars and F1 2016, so I'm ready and waiting. Will be a lot better to have all the info, although at least they've added a tyre HUD to the game lol, so that's a start!

What happens in real life?
