Could be the other way, it screwed up and the Europeans in your situation. Unforseen problems happen. Annoying, yes, I know. It is even more annoying when you do not have live brake bias working.

Are you trying to
Just a heads up for those who haven't purchased Asetto Corsa or the Season Pass yet, they are both on sale on the NA PSN store for 55% off if you're a PS+ member and 33% for non-subscribers. The means the game is $22.49 and the Season Pass is $13.49 for PS+ members.

Holy moly! Is that $36 for Assetto and Porsche Packs on console? That's a steal.

EDIT: I checked and it shows $33.49 and $20.99. Still a great deal.

I know it's not possible with a controller, but can users modify key assignments on steering wheels with the console version? If not, is there more than one setup to choose from?

Thinking of upgrading to consoles?
"Upgrading"? :sly: I was just wondering...I've seen plenty of people complaining about the lost ability to adjust Brake Bias on controllers and then I was looking at my wheel and thinking, "they look like they have about the same number of buttons..." maybe I'm mistaken. Plus, I was just thinking about possibly moving some of the button assignments on my wheel, so it made me think about the wheel button assignments on console.

Have they given a date for console Porsche Pack 2 yet? Or did they just say "In December..."?

Maybe you got tired of the inconsistent quality of mods and tedious file management... :D Nah, you PC guys obviously don't need to look any further, but I'm actually impressed how relatively close the PS4 version has gotten since last week's update. They're already onto the worst bugs as update 1.10 got submitted for PS4 yesterday. 👍

The odd thing about the loss of "live" brake bias adjustment on consoles is that no other command has taken its place. MGU settings overwrote TC and ABS on hybrid cars, and things such as KERS are mentioned in the controller settings but without any button assignment, at least not in the preset I'm using. Bugs or oversights which hopefully will get addressed in the not too distant future. It's the least we can expect after the additional presets in 1.09 possibly ruled out the chance of custom mapping.

I'm quite sure December is all we know so far.

Oh wow. I didn't know that they put together an update for PS4 already. Sweet! 👍 I think I could live without being able to adjust ABS with street cars, but with race cars I think it's essential. I would want TC controls for both Street & Race cars.

You can. At least I can on the G29. I just can't alter brake bias. Incidentally I have never altered either ABS or TCS on track in any race game I've ever played. Only in options before I go to the track.

Doh! Bought the season pass yesterday full price. Oh well, hope my contribution helps to improve the game.

Anyone with a PS4 and a wheel would be mad not to grab this deal.

Also, this should be on GTPlanet's news section.

My Xbox One Impressions with 1.04
>the Game feels very fluid now, but need to put It through the final Test, Black Cat County with Full Grid.

>Silverstone Classic is an ok addition, especially for free, but its simply too easy and boring.

>the biggest issue is definetly button mapping, ive driven the 918 and the FXX K and both didnt let me adjust traction control - only hybrid was adjustable.

>Porsche feels and looks good in the game, nice addition and soon Assetto Corsa should have a better GT3 Lineup than Forza 6.

>Overall a Great Update, and im having confidence in the Game again

v1.04? I thought they changed the version to v1.09 to catch up with the PC version? Or is the XBox behind the PS4?

Glad you're happier with the game. 👍 I was shocked at how 'simple' of a layout Silverstone Classic is. I had no idea what to expect. It won't be in my Top 10 most used tracks, that's for sure...but, it can be fun with the right cars/people.

I thought that when I first tried it too, but the other night I was hustling the Carrera RSR around there and next thing I knew many laps had gone by and my fuel warning light had come on. It's actually quite fun and a bit challenging with the right car, especially older cars that like to slide around.

Many of the older circuits are simple like that. Simple and fast. Take a look at the track maps for Old Hockenheim:

Yes...I was going to add, in my post, that a lot of times these "simple" courses are even scarier to race on because you're expected not to make any mistakes...even little mistakes. So, it becomes a battle of who's going to last the longest without understeering and losing all momentum? Or, who's going to last the longest without an accidental brake lock-up. That can be a whole lot of fun...and a whole lot of anxiety as well.

The older version of Spa is a perfect example. It's a much more "simple" layout than current Spa. You are blasting around that track, so even the slightest misjudgment becomes a big deal. I love driving the Spa 1966 layout with older open-wheel vehicles or something like the Porsche 917/30. The old Lotus's or Maserati's we have can be pretty scary hitting those bends wide open. :D

Agreed. Same thing happened to me last night. Enjoy this simple track a lot.

The older tracks make sense in the older cars. Take a GT3 around old Monza sans banking, and it's pretty boring. Only 3 corners really. Take the Lotus 49 around there and all of a sudden every corner is an absolute, edge of your seat, 🤬 your pants thrillride:lol:. I haven't driven old Spa but watched videos of it from early builds of PCars and it looked about the same. Very fast corners and at the limits of grip in 4th and 5th gear, haybales and houses looming at the edge of the track.

Yep those classic tracks are made for us to enjoy with the old cars, makes sense and hopefully more follow.
For its design, I give Spa the:

So thats where they get inspiration from. Do a turd and map the outline, it's genius.

I find it much more of a challenge to drive the Lotus 25\49 on Monza 66 than i do on any other track including the ring.

The two classic tracks in AC also deserve an applause for the atmosphere they capture. It's not just the old layouts making these locations feel very 1960s. Turning the research into authentic models must have been difficult, especially with color photography not being the norm until the 1970s.

Agree it's the first thing i thought of first time i raced on them., They didn't take the route of using a filter to make it look like 70s\80s TV. I love the classic advertises too.

Martin Brundle always complained about that for todays tracks. He hates how forgiving tracks are today.
And he is absolutely right. Thats the Beauty of US Tracks, where most Tracks have "natural", non benefitial runoffs like grass, dirt or gravel.

Modern F1 Tracks are basically Safe Spaces for Race drivers

I'm loving these classic versions of tracks. I've always wanted a racing sim that focused on classic tracks, and Assetto Corsa is as close as I've ever gotten to that.

I'm sure it would be entirely too much work to be worthwhile but I'd love for a game to recreate the Mille Miglia or the Carerra Panamericana since they can no longer be run IRL
