And they didn't even bother putting that in the patch notes.

The sound problems I mentioned are covered by the patch notes: "Fixed sound problems on certain tracks caused by reverbs". Some cars triggered the bug when the sound got reverbed by the surroundings (when driving under bridges and so on). For some reason the problem was only noticeable when driving in full interior view.

As for brake bias, you're right. I would really prefer if they gave us the comprehensive patch notes they release with updates on Steam.

The patch got uploaded just as I had lost my patience with Sony's approval process. Great!

Sound problems for some cars in interior view are fixed and brake bias adjustment is back on the fly. :)

Wicked!! Must jump on and check the brake bias, wooohooo!

Yea, i mean they've done more work than they're saying they're done.

Is it my imagination, or has the BMW E30 DTM car developed a 6 speed gearbox? Wasn't it 5 speed before? Or am i just getting confused with Pcars?

Here is another pleasant surprise (hopefully) coming soon to AC PC version...It is not close to high quality compared to other available tracks, but it's a monster of a map, so I'm willing to cut them some slack. :sly:

Targa Florio Course:

Weird field of view. Feels like fish bowl at 110 - 120. Or those freaky bifocal glasses that screws with your peripheral vision.

It blows my mind, some of the FoV's chosen by people. I don't know if the FoV is bad in that video or if it has something to do with the fact that the video is from a 3 monitor setup, which angle's in the two side monitors. Does it make the picture look a little wonky when then seen "flat" like in the video? I don't know...I'm sure someone with a triple monitor setup could tell us.

Two classic tracks that are top-notch are Bridgehampton & Riverside. Both created by Lilski. He puts in a boatload of research and doesn't settle for anything - whether it's signage, a particular tree that was known for being trackside, stuff like that. He goes all out.

To be honest, I don't really think it warrants the effort of Kunos's staff either. It's a super fun track to haul around with older vehicles, but I don't think it's worth the amount of time that it would take to make it.

Targa Florio Course:

Targa Floria was created by GINETTO from Grand Prix legend , if I'm not wrong it took him 3 year to build this track .
I've driven that track in Grand Prix legend with the Brabham .....one hell of a trip at that time .

Was available as a mod for Race07, this in AC with VR will be epic.

From what I understand, the guys in SIM TRAXX are trying to get authorization from the original author otherwise they won't release it...which I find very respectable. Lord knows there are many people out there who wouldn't give a crap. I think that's why there are a LOT of crappy tracks out there. Some people know how to do the conversion, but they're not concerned with getting permission to do the actual conversion and then they release it as an Assetto Corsa track without fixing anything and in most cases not even applying a separate physical mesh for the track/road - so they end up feeling smooth as a marble counter top.

On the other hand not having the track at all because it does not meet the standard of someone is not so good either.
I would rather have a chance to see by myself if a version of a track , Targa or any other, meet my standards and decide if I enjoy driving it or not.
Your crappy and my crappy might be 2 different crappy and don't let me start on their crappy.

Just did a race weekend in Mugello with 16 cars grid. Remember i was unhappy with the frame rate since porsche patch? Well, in this race, performance was perfectly fine. But why? I see two possibilities. First: the latest hot fix improved performance. Second: the PS4 pro. I was playing AC for the first time on pro today. Im well aware of the fact that AC doesent support pro features so far... but you never know....

It's all three screens of a triple screen view, melded together as one screen for the replay. If you were sitting in the cockpit using triples it would look "normal".

I did a 16 car race after 1.09 and noticed a significant frame drop over time attacking. A few days later I did another race with 16 cars on the same track. No detectable frame loss. That was before 1.10 patch so who knows. Standard PS4 for me. :boggled:

I've been trying to work out if the framerate is better with bumper cam than cockpit cam but it's kinda hard to tell. Certainly seems a lot faster with bumper, more edge of the seat action too, and you have to drive a bit differently as well, but I won't stick with that view permanently. Was trying to see if I could get better lap times with bumper but no concrete findings yet.

I've actually went back to wheel view. Don't like the dash cam as it feels like childs view with their hands and chin on the dashboard.
Yeah I've gone back to standard cockpit cam too as some of the dashboards can look pretty nasty without a wheel in front of them (R8 LMS a prime example). Narrowed the FOV to 50 to still get as close as I can to the windscreen. If my TV was low enough so that I could see the Motec display through my wheel I'd go back to dash, but it's not.

I've also noticed with the FOV on 50 I can can catch the rear end easier versus default 59 or 60 since 59 or 60 gives better peripheral vision. 60 seems to cause the cars for me to become harder to drive. The cars always felt tippy toe in the GT3 with 59 or 60 FOV. Maybe it is just me. I don't know but I really wish we could do the same on the PC.

Perhaps I didn't make myself clear. I have no problem with anyone building any mod and releasing it in any state that they want because you're right, I am not the arbitrator of what is worth or unworthy to be a downloadable mod for AC. I was saying that there have been some people who don't ask for permission from the actual creator of the track, which I personally believe is wrong and most original modders do too, and they just throw out a crappy version of said track. They shouldn't be putting out any version of that track that they didn't create or get permission to release. If they created it, of course they have every right to release the mod to the community.

You may still feel differently that people should be able to rip other people's work -- I know there are many people who think it's totally alright...I think differently on that topic. That's all.

Watch this video from EmptyBox and it might explain what's happening when you change FOV. There's also a good discussion of FOV in this thread:

If it doesn't have a pro patch then it isn't doing anything .
