Speaking of setups, yesterday I received the final piece of my new setup: the TH8A shifter.
This, along with having a clutch pedal (T3PA-Pro) and leg room (Playseat Challenge) allowed me to finally experience AC i
n its full glory in terms of shifting.
The experience was everything I was hoping for, and then some.
Just engaging 1st to get the car moving from a stand still, feeling the clutch engaging, brought a huge smile to my face.
Of course, once I got to the track things got ugly and I was all over the place, trying to readjust my head and body to this new (sim) driving technique - trivial things like leaving the hand from the wheel for shifting, braking with the right foot, etc.
I tried 3 cars and ended up choosing the KTM X-BOW as my learning car.
I doubt I'll ever be quicker with this setup, but it is such a more rewarding experience that I really don't care.
Anyway, 30 minutes of testing brought me to this point:

A yellow drivetrain and bumper.
Excellent. Just keep practicing and it will come.
I would also recommend the Ricmotech short shift adapter as well, its not cheap but it makes a massive difference to the throw in both directions.
Just out of interest how did you end up mounting it in the end? Did you go for the RAM mount?
