Save up and join the dark side soldier! ;)

The big problem with that is, if I had the cash saved up that I'd need for a half decent PC, I'd just buy stuff for my car

My current car is crying out for some coilovers, big time

Edit: Christmas is pretty close guys, just sayin' :sly:

Cool...What do you drive? Is it worked on or still stock?

Current daily is an '04 Corolla Sportivo, fairly stock. Haven't had it too long. I bought it because I needed a car with four doors, so the Mrs kinda put the pressure on to get rid of the Group A Celica :(.

It's at least got some poke though, with the same 2ZZGE and 6 speed box out of the last model of Celica. 190hp doesn't sound like much, but in a little car like that it's not half bad on a tight, twisty road. It's got a nice note to it with the mandrel bent exhaust and Blitz SRI, especially at over 8000rpm :D.

Haven't had a track car for a fair while now, as the financial situation dictated I get rid of the last one ages ago, but thankfully there's a ton of epic roads around here, hence my desire for coilovers. You get used to power increases very quickly, but the most fun is always to be had in the bends, so I'll be going for coilovers, good tyres, and a brake upgrade, before going for more power.

PRIVATE LOBBIES ON CONSOLE

Don't worry... They're coming! ;) Private lobbies are a big job, but the team are working incredibly hard to bring them to Assetto Corsa. While we don't have a release date yet, you can expect them in the new year as part of a major update. More info soon!

THANK YOU!

Once again, we want to thank our community for their incredible support. It's been a crazy ride but we're going to continue pushing flat out to make Assetto Corsa the ultimate racing sim on console. While it's practically impossible for us to reply to every comment and message across our community channels, please know that we're unbelievably grateful to all those who have stuck with us and continue to interact with us! We absolutely love hearing your thoughts, suggestions and constructive criticism, so please continue to engage with us! :) We've said it many times before, but it means the world to have such an enthusiastic community on board!

Keep being awesome, OK?

I'm really disappointed, but not surprised, that Porsche Pack Vol II won't release until year. However, I am happy they confirmed it instead of letting it drag on.

Getting Red Pack and Vol II on the same day will be crazy! I will definitely have to do a list of what order I will drive them in. Red Bull Ring will make a nice testing ground for them.

I'm goona have to hurry now and buy the season pass. Too many cars to get through before i get my hands on the Masser F1s
That's a bummer it won't be in Dec.

I can't imagine why PP2 took so long. The Red Pack has to be because of that Ferrari SF15-T. I can't think of any other reason. :grumpy: I know this ain't going to happen, but I really wish Kunos would do something special for console owners - for all of these 🤬 delays.
I will forgive them if they bring a nice driving road loike the mod Coste to console.

Man no one asks for a release date, damn... Give a freaking figure of time at least >_>

9 days until Christmas, what were you expecting?

I work in graphic design/printing, I'm sure there are a lot of similarities to game design as far as production schedules. People are constantly asking me "when is this project going to be done??" and most of the time it's difficult to answer that with any accuracy. If everything goes exactly to plan, nobody interrupts me until it's done, and none of the equipment goes down, it could be done tomorrow. But nothing goes exactly to plan so it usually gets pushed back a day. Then the boss comes in with another emergency job so I have to stop the original project and do his emergency instead. Now we're pushed back another day. Finally, all the design and proofing is done and I'm ready to go to print.......aaaand the printer has crashed. Technician can't get here until tomorrow so now we're pushed back yet another day. Technician gets here, finds out he has to order a part and, yep, you guessed it, pushed back two days until the part arrives and is installed. Finally the printer is fixed and the job gets done.....five days after the original expected completion date. As a result, I've learned not to give firm dates of when things will get done because 🤬 happens and it's not always fully in my control. So, I for one totally understand why game devs don't get out release dates until they know absolutely positively for sure when it's going to be ready for release (which usually isn't until it's 99.9999% done).

Hi mate... Yes some people ask release date for the private lobbies... But you only receive the licensed answer from Kunos :

I remember when SMS said pCARS was 99.9% done... And then they delayed it for another few months! Classic.

Yep, and I've had print jobs I thought were 99.9% done and then 🤬 hits the fan and we have to start over again. It sucks, but it's just the way things are when you're dealing with imperfect humans and imperfect machines.

Well, looks like it'll be a while before I try out the PP2 contents. Been waiting for what seems like forever to get my hands on that red pack content, so I'll definitely be spending a lot of time with those cars before giving the PP2 stuff a go.

Good news that we've finally got word on roughly when to expect the red pack though. I feel like that's as good a Christmas present as we're going to get from Kunos. I'll take it!

I work in a tissue factory and I very well know the issue since I was for give years the supervisor at production...

But I can always tell if it is tomorrow, by the end of the week, in a couple weeks, in a month in months or years. And a delay can kill the while business not have videogamers angry.

I'm sure they can give a figure by now

Not in my business. I can't say with any confidence as to when a project will be done until the last stack of paper is coming off the cutter. I currently have a job that I fully expected to be done and delivered last Friday, here I am a week later and it's still not done, and probably won't be until Tuesday (but it could be Monday, it could be Wednesday, can't say for sure). I'm sure it's similar in game development, they may think they're just a few clicks away from being done but then one of those clicks breaks something and they have to spend a few days trying to fix it and make sure it doesn't happen again. I would guess they don't know when this stuff is going to be done until it's done. Plus, Stefano has even said that they've learned from experience it's far better to have people annoyed about not having a date than to give a date and not be able to make it because the fallout from missing a promised date is far far worse.

I was hoping that they would release PP2 and the Red pack at the same time, with the new track and all those cars it'll feel like a proper expansions and get me excited for AC again. The slight delay also means I can focus on finishing FH3 for a while too.

On a side note, this community is way more positive than the one on the AC forums. I hope the devs get to see some of the conversation here and not just the snake pit full of venom on their boards

People seem to forget that the tiny team known as Kunos isn't just working on Assetto Corsa. They have several Assetto Corsa Pro clients. A few days ago I posted that Dallara multi-million dollar simulator that Kunos is contracted to support with assets.

I know that nobody likes to hear this, but similar to what Brandon mentioned, if an employee at Kunos is working on something and the phone rings with a critical issue from a client. Guess what's getting pushed back? Kunos already has our money. Maintaining support contracts and other such things often end up taking priority.

Of course, I have absolutely no intimate knowledge of the inner workings of Kunos, however, I used to work as a computer programmer/analyst and I've been in the exact situation I described above. So, it wouldn't shock me to learn that the same thing happens with a game developer.

If I'm not mistaken, didn't someone mention that they saw Kunos Simulazioni mentioned in the credits of another game/piece of software/escort service? It was something that made me go, "Oh, wow...I didn't know they were working with (whatever it was)."

Marco M posted a Top Gear article on his fb, "which 10 cars would you buy with unli resources"
Or something like that, he said on the list there were only 3 cars that are not in AC or coming in AC. There were 2 Koeniggsegg and a Chiron, a Mclraren F1 and a ferrari 250 GTO. That makes 5 cars not in AC but 2 from that list coming, I think we can deduce that the F1 and 250 are coming. yippy kai yay.

I believe if memory serves me right it was the crew.

Maybe he counts the F1 GTR as the Mclaren F1 (because you know, the F1 GTR it's a version of that car)
