Do you remember exactly what you did to the roll bars? Did you stiffen the rear? How much?

porn.
Lowered the rear to 10000, and raised the front to 32000. Was only a quick tinker.

Only drove it at Nurb GP so adjusted the roll bars primarily for balance round the first 3 corners. Also took final drive down (only 2 options here) which worked great at that track so I could 3rd gear most of the slowest corners instead of higher revs in 2nd. Always helps when the rear is wild

Edited as I checked the numbers quickly.

Interessant video for those that want a wheel under the Xmas tree as gift or autogift for PS4 and play Assetto Corsa :D

Happy Xmas to everybody! And a happy new year! (that is for sure with the launch of red pack & Porsche Pack 2 in firsts weeks of January )

It is irritating how every wheel set has horrid pedal faces that are so small or as well as the wrong shape or too smooth and not enough grip. Or the pedal plates sit far too low and not a great deal of positions.

Well, not in the Dark Side. :D

True, this is why I hate how manufacturers seem to think console owners are 12 year olds with weak arms and tiny feet driving with socks. So you get pathetic springs as well.

I want the above type come to consoles. I want really good pedals like that compatible for consoles.

The fanatec pedals works with thurstmaster wheels! You only have to buy the adapter for thurstmaster for them.

And yes, they are 100% working with Assetto Corsa on PS4:cheers:

I think it's more about price, the CSP V3s cost as much as a wheel so if they included them in the bundle you'd pay quite a bit more, probably more than the average console gamer would want to pay. But in fairness, the T500 and T3PA pedals are quite good quality and are included in two of those bundles in the video. The G2x pedals are quite good too and have decent strength in the brake pedal. The new Fanatec CSL pedals are probably the best bang for the buck right now but I think they currently would not work on PS4 (corrected above).

Just saw it on UK store too.

...£11.99 for the Pass.

Sounds like a good price to me, I think I'll be picking up the SP rather soon. I got the game a few weeks back for £23.99 with the PS Plus deal, so am still happy with that.

Might have to invest in those. The T3PA are alright but to be honest with the stock springs and conical cone that is so hard even when you bounce on it so many times to try and get a bit of softness under your heel... It is manure.

It feels all wrong and was killing my braking distance let alone I was getting zero heat into the tyres. Maybe it is my braking, I do not know but all I can say once I made my own cheesy brake stopper I've got more heat into the tyres. Better braking as well. I always felt like I was driving on ice.

Took the conical out of the metal bracket and spent several hours with the grey central heating insulating foam. Cut it so it is shaped like a snail shell for tight hard compression. A lot of black tape to firm it up at the end with less at the front and thick rubber washers at the end of the travel.

Will have to do until I get these. Had also changed the plates for Sparco. Adds a nice weight to the pedals.

Im looking forward to buy the T3PA pedal set..
Meanwhile i did that to my brake pedal :

It's not optimal, but at least i get some "resistance" in the brake pedal..

The best is what a friend of mine did..he buyed the adapter for his T300 and uses the Fanatec CSR pedals.

You're not a true sim racer if you haven't done the foam/squishball brake mod at some point in your career. :D

Yes.. Moding wheels,Shifters, pedal, Cockpit.. Is part of simracers live... :D:cheers:

I think the foam/squishball brake mod is probably the first mod a lot of us do. I remember doing it to my DFGT pedals back in the day, thought it was the greatest thing since force feedback! :D

Yes, you should have waited, what were you thinking? I hope it is going to a be a lesson for future purchase.
Let everyone have fun with it since day one, wait for the discounted price and save 10$.
Ahahah. Bought it 10 days ago..
$10 is raped? If someone paid $150 4 months ago and you could get it for $20 right now...yeah, that would be a kick in the nuts. And I'm not acting like $10 doesn't matter - I'm in a terrible financial position right now...but 10 bucks for the 4 months you've had it. $2.50/month. At the most, a sex related misdemeanor.

Maybe, but mine doesn't really get used for any of that because it's just for racing and it's not the most comfortable place to be for doing actual work. Was just putting into perspective that most PC players probably have ~twice as much invested to play AC as console players (and that's not including all the hardware toys like wheels, shifters, hand brakes, motion rigs, triple screens). So, don't feel so bad over $10, it could be a helluva lot worse! :D

Been on a very tight purse since ages, so I could have used those for 2 beers as an example...

Forgot about the colour changes you can make in the game, thought i'd put it on "sepia" and take the Lotus 98T around Brands GP, no TC and turbo at 100%, great fun, and looks quite retro!!!

Hairy chested indeed!! :P

When you stuffed all that foam behind there how can you apply full braking force? Doesn't that foam prevent a brake pedal, like the DFGT brake pedal, from travelling it's full distance?

There is a great disturbance in the load cell.

With Disney ownership I'm surprised we haven't seen those for real.

If it's the right kind of foam you can still get full travel, you just have a bit more resistance getting there which helps with modulating your inputs.

Well, yes i can apply full braking force with the foam cradle introduced.. It only give the pedal some more resistance and make my input better..now i have to push harder to block the wheels with none ABS cars..
It's still not perfect, but while better than without the foam cradle

I put a sponge in the cavity under the brake pedal of my DFGT and I had no problem braking hard in GT5/6. You had to calibrate the brake anyway so it would take reduced travel into account.
