Xbox just got the Patch
2.5 GB

In the Patch Notes it says that faulty Rotation for the G29, T300 and others have been fixed.

But no new Modes. And the DLCS are visible but not yet accessible. They arent in the Xbox Store yet
Looks like no changes to control schemes, button mapping etc. I think the notes you read about fixing faulty rotation were for the last update.

I found settings to work with the controller on the Xbox. It definitely feels better, but what irks me and it was the same with PCars, is that they seem to roll on a central point, rather than dictated by where the engine is.

Hmm that seams a rather small file for two packs which also includes a track, especially as the last update was much bigger, it was nearly 5gig iirc?

Yes but the last patch included a Physics and Sound overhaul according to Patch Notes and it also included the Silverstone Track.

Its obvious that this Update is more about new content though. Which im ok with. PP3 should give us custom Championships and Control Settings hopefully.

Still seams small in comparison though, not sure I'd call it a sound overhaul though. Oh well we will see tomorrow. One sleep to go woop.

Hmm... reading on the Assetto Corsa forums.

"If V1.11 is the same on the PS4 version, it's disappointing to say the least. No brake pressure adjustment, wheel calibration, nothing. Cannot stand tapping the brakes on my g29 and getting full brake locking. Wait all this time for what I would call a "crap" update. What a shame Kunos."

"Unless more options are coming when the Red Pack/PP2 install then no there is no extra control presets nor any ability to look left/right/back. Nothing in the patch notes to suggest anything else is coming tomorrow.

Oh and we still have the cold asphalt temperature bug by the look of it too."

I'll also be really happy if LiverLoserpool play well and don't win it too. :sly: :)

Probably best to get T300 wheel if sticking with Assetto Corsa for time being, a lot of the fast guys on PS4 seem to use that wheel. pCARS has leaderboards which you might be interested in and probably works well with G29. Well worth it IMO, I'm tempted to buy it again for PS4 so I have digital copy too. (Got a David Ginola signed copy )
I don't think the wheel has anything to do with speed. On pc, the RSR leaderboards are dominated by G25/G27 users.

Oh damn, no downshift bugfix? T_T what a waste!

Oh damn, no downshift bugfix? T_T what a waste!

Very poor update:
-no custom buttons
-no false starts
-no advanced wheel configs
-no championship mode
(all of them included in PC version)

Come on Kunos, we love the game, but it needs a lot of work, there are a lot of bugs, poor optimization and each update is an losen opportunity...

So basically the update has added nothing bar DLC support?

I was really hoping for the force feedback clipping meter.

Hi everyone! The Xbox update has now gone live, correct. The update for PS4 is due for deployment early tomorrow morning.

As for the Porsche Pack Vol 2 and Red Pack DLC, these are both scheduled for launch tomorrow.

We'll keep you updated!

My fingers are still crossed for it, could be an undocumented change. Would be the best thing to do if they weren't 100% sure the fix was going to fix it 100% of the time for everyone.

I was really hoping for the force feedback clipping meter.
Is this something that comes as part of the game on PC? And it's just to determine what FFB strength you should set? I googled this and it appears to be a third party wheel calibration tool.

As they were in GT6.

I know G series wheels aren't the 'in thing', but before the G29 I had a G25 & 2 x G27's, and they were fabulous... reliable (as long as the pots were cleaned every now and again), and no barrier to keeping up with Aliens.

I hadn't gamed for at least 6 months, and wouldn't be gaming now if my brother in law hadn't given me a PS4 at New Years... no way I'm going to drop a pile of cash on a wheel I might only use for a few weeks until I get bored again.

£150 for a G29 is a bargain IMO... well, as long as I get the FF working

The default AC pedals app has a fourth bar that flickers red when you're clipping, next to the bars for clutch/brake/throttle. There's a couple third-party apps too but the one in the pedals apps is stock content. You can see it in the lower right corner of my center screen HERE.

That is a third-party app, but there is one built into the stock pedals app (see above).

Yeah, curious as to why it's not on the console versions. The one you linked to is a third-party app that will automatically set the FFB for each car at the highest setting that doesn't cause clipping, you drive around for a lap or two and it starts with max settings and then works its way back until there's no clipping. But depending on what wheel you have that isn't always ideal, on my CSW V2 it wants to set the FFB very high because that wheel can generate more force without clipping and it ends up being too heavy to drive with.

Oh, I had always wondered why I found or appeared to find my sweet spot for the force feedback on the PS4 then other cars would appear so light while others so heavy. The LaFerrari is one that is so heavy once the suspension pivots as I have the feedback set at 31 percent.

I really hate this guessing. Donkey, tail.

Yeah, that's why on the PC we can adjust the FFB for each car while we're on track, independently of the master gain.

Which apps is that, sounds interesting.
