Regarding lap timing, it has been found that the replays are sped up, so if you time a replay with a stop watch a shorter period of time is recorded.

on PS4 this is actually easy to see, run a lap and capture with the share button, watch back the replay and capture with the share button.

Use the trim tool in the capture gallery to use roughly he same start and finish point, the replay will always be faster. Using the Nordschleife really highlights the problem.

Timing gameplay footage, shows the in game clock to be correct or was when I last did the test (V1.11).

Example.

I noticed this as well, here is a video to show this as well.

This needs to be fixed

Is it just me, or is the 488 GT3 slow in the straights?
So what's the best rpm to shift the 488 at? I was shifting at around 7200...
I also had this problem with that car. Turns out is has an unusual torque/power curve. The torque decreases significantly at high revs, so you need to shift surprisingly early. I asked about it on the official forum and got this answer: "You should shift when the first red light appears on your (ingame) wheel".

That should be helpful as a guideline at least.

On PC we have an app called RaceEssentials, where the rev lights actually follows the torque curve of each car. That makes it really easy to shift at peak torque on each gear. But I guess it's almost a sort of cheating though. :)

My Assumption is more like we are too slowly moving in-game as no way in Hell im 7 secs slower in a GT3 Car compared to IRL Laptimes. But overall yes it needs to be fixed either way

I had no idea this app did that. Does sound like cheating :). Are there any other guides for torque curve on cars?

I noticed that the torque drop corresponds to the boost beginning to taper off. Watch for when the boost starts to drop, and get used to shifting just before then. This was necessary for me because I play using cockpit view w/o wheel or bumper cam depending on in-car visibility and don't have the shift lights to pay attention to.

*edit* This car wasn't too bad, but really had me looking like a lunatic in RB Ring GT3 servers this weekend! I would start strong, maybe a few late braking incidents but nothing too ugly. Then by lap 6 or 7 I started to fall apart. It was like my tires were going bad, but they were all green across the board (including their condition.) I just fatigued or something.

I played Assetto Corsa quite a bit with DS4 when it came out. Over the last month I got two wheels. T150 with Pro Pedals, and T300. I played with the T150 and it was fun, and recently I tried the T300 and it was even more fun. My first time having a wheel since I had a DFGT for a few months way back then.

I don't have a wheel stand though, but hopefully the GT Omega one I ordered will arrive this week. Excited to just do a bunch of hot laps with the T300!!! I'm a noob to wheels, so hopefully people don't mind helping me out with some settings in game, and wheel settings in general.

If I want to do the challenges in the game and get gold etc, is it best to leave ABS and TC at factory and stability control to 0? And what about the wheel rotation itself? Do I need to change it or does each car automatically adjust (based on some research)? For the ingame wheel settings I took some off GTPlanet and they worked well! Thanks in advance :)

How come Mugello has never been in a game before? It might just be in my top 10 tracks now, lovely setting with the rolling hills and it has a great flow to it.
I think the old PS3 Ferrari Challenge Trofeo game had Mugello, as well as Forza Motorsport 2 and Test Drive: Ferrari Racing Legends.

It was in Forza Motorsport 2. and you can find footage of it in Project Cars but they later removed it due to licensing

To me its more of a Motorcycle Track though.

Is the GT Omega good to use if you have a table in front of you?
Since I haven't received mine yet, I can't tell you 100% BUT the height is adjustable, so technically you can have the whole thing just under your table (if it has space underneath), and then when it comes to the base of wheel, that'll stick out. If you have no space under your table for the stand to slide under, I think it'll still work out.

If you go to 12:40 of this video, he has a table in front of him

Don't think I'll be able to slide the entire wheelstand under the table, but maybe the first half, which is the pedals, and the wheel will be sticking outside.

What is with pyro's car turning black in the distance? I don't recall other cars doing it...
I know hey, but only happens with that car and that color only, i thought maybe it's some color changing paint on it.
Annoying to be honest

It was also in superstar v8 challenge games on the ps3. That game had amazing tracks in it.

One thing AC has made me do for the first time ever in a racing game is turn the HUD off and just play in cockpit view..much more immersive looking at real life instruments in the cabin. I just turn the HUD on on the straight to check times etc.

Anyone else do this?

Yes i do.

And did it since Pcars, with helmet view, Hud off and using an UDP app for time tables and other stuff.

Really should like to see soon UDP applications compatibility in Assetto Corsa also...so i dont have to switch on the HUD for check the crono, position or delta times.

And ive never watched moto gp,just doesnt interest me.

Too bad, it's some of the best racing on the planet. Unfortunately FoxSports decided to stop carrying it this year so I didn't get to see much of it, and they stopped coming to Indy too so I don't get to see them live anymore. :(

I think BT Sport has exclusive rights?

FoxSports carried it in America for years but decided not to renew the contract for this year. We don't get BT Sport over here. There's a channel called BeIn or something that carries it here but my provider does not offer it.

Ok ive obviously never played those racing games with Mugello in hehe. And ive never watched moto gp,just doesnt interest me.
You're missing some amazing racing.
