Does anyone play with the right stick as accelerate? I used to use it all the time in the PS2 days and it actually felt pretty good on AC....its my only choice now anyway!
Yup that was me right before i moved to a wheel. Once you get used to that it's better IMO.

Here's a question that is bugging me about the Pro patch. *IF* boost mode is merely over clocking the GPU and CPU then *WHY* can't the same be done for the base model PS4s? Admittedly they are lacking in "grunt" but surely some performance would be picked up. Or is it a case where they are at their peak limit right now?

The standard PS4 games as Assetto Corsa on the PS4 Pro was running like on the standard PS4 cause they where limiting the extra performance of the Pro console running standard games.

Now with the introduction of the boost mode in the beta firmware they don't limit any more the extra performance of the console running PS4 standard games..

Has nothing to see with games that received an specific PRO upgrade patch with extra resolution and modes.

A Boost mode on standard PS4 will do nothing... Because it's already giving all the performance of the hardware to the games

So after all this time Sony sold lemons for base PS4's.

Especially when you take into account the PS4 (not even pro) will play 4K Blu-Rays. You still need to purchase a special 4K player if you want to watch a movie!!!! I only found this out recently.

So yes, I do agree, the base model PS4s are lemons, compared to what the advertising spiel led us all to believe at release. And the Pro is only barely adequate for games and still does not play 4K discs!

And here is an interesting site http://www.ps5playstation5.com/ Perhaps the PS5 is just around the corner in 2018 but more than likely 2020.

The funny thing about this is that maybe GTS/7 (whatever) may not even make it onto a PS4 ;-)

It almost makes me want to go out and buy a gaming PC again ;-) (I thought I would add that before anyone else did) :-)

There is more base PS4 models out there than Pro's and no doubt will be for a long time until the PS5 hits.

Does anyone still actually rent or buy bluray disks?

Personally I've been streaming for so long now, the idea of inserting a disk into a drive to watch a movie seems bizarre...

The quality of BD is still better, perhaps the streaming video is getting closer in quality, but certainly the audio tracks on disc coupled with a nice home cinema setup can't be beaten, even terrestrial broadcasts don't come close, so there's still a point of discs. Having said that, I can't remember the last time I actually bought a blu ray, although I did get Transformers the Movie for xmas. Everything else I either borrow or use Kodi.

Sounds like it's time to join the dark side and enjoy our delicious cookies. :D

Same here. I used to actively collect DVDs and BluRays and then about four years ago it just stopped. The only discs I buy anymore are old car/motorsports movies from Amazon, like Grand Prix and the Paul Newman documentary.

New pics on Marcos FB, damn excite.

There they are, nice!! Is there some rally stage coming with those 2 rally cars, the Audi Quattro Sport, and the Toyota Celica?

Well then, I guess those questions are finally answered!

Doubt it, AC doesn't do loose surface physics very well.

Nice work, i knew someone would oblige (Cant do it myself, on PS4 ). As for rally, i don't know but I'm guessing by a previous photo of the Audi there is a suitable section on the upcoming Scottish track. The Celica makes me believe this more so now.

Edit: I should point out i mean a suitable tarmac section.

Happy Friday indeed! It looks like some pretty heavy updates are on the horizon. What all is supposedly going to be free vs. paid DLC? I think the Audi QS1 and Scotland will be free - anything else?

Only 1 street car...and it happens to be a Miata. I could actually see myself skipping this one...Already have the 787 although the fizziks will be different.

The Porsche 911 GT3 RSR is owed to the people who already paid for the Porsche Pack Vol 3 or Season Pass.

Ah that's right, new RSR. I'm still somewhat hopeful for a smallish, togue-ey circuit configuration in Scotland. Something like Trial Mtn or Deepforest. Based on what I've seen my hopes are not high.

There's no saying though that the cars in these photos will all come in the same pack. Also i really hope that lotus sounds better than the current ones in the game in cockpit view.

Woo hoo!!! Toyota TS040-HYBRID, Audi R18 e-tron quattro and Mazda 787B. If that is one pack then it is an absolute stunner.

Um, yes please. *goes to load Steam/PSN wallet*

Marco is such a tease!

The Mazdas were already confirmed free IIRC, because they're already available as mods.
