There's no saying though that the cars in these photos will all come in the same pack. Also i really hope that lotus sounds better than the current ones in the game in cockpit view.
Oh man...For some reason I thought it was a sneak peek of the next DLC pack. Ugh...I am so tired. That might be my cue to go grab some sleep.

No but the fact we're getting new Audi's at some point, nom nom nom!

I can't find any videos of this Audi R8 LMS Ultra...

The Mazdas were already confirmed free IIRC, because they're already available as mods.

Yep, they've said any mod that they turn into official content will probably always be free because they don't feel they should charge for something they didn't 100% create themselves.

Nice! I always assumed the Celica was going to be a road car though.
Same here.

It well could be. It's just my assumption and it was mainly the Lotus that got me thinking that along with the fact a British pack will come. Just assumed that will be in the British pack.

It does show the 911 RSR though which we know is not included in the next DLC pack because it's a holdout from the previous DLC pack. Most of the cars shown we've known about for quite a while (over a year in some cases) but they were pushed back due to the Beetle Bonanza so they're probably just rolling out all the screenshots to let us know they're still happening. But it is possible they toss them all (except the 911 RSR) into one giant "Take these things, we're tired of looking at them!" DLC pack, but I wouldn't get any expectations up.

Here's a question that is bugging me about the Pro patch. *IF* boost mode is merely over clocking the GPU and CPU then *WHY* can't the same be done for the base model PS4s? Admittedly they are lacking in "grunt" but surely some performance would be picked up. Or is it a case where they are at their peak limit right now?

over clocking original PS4's would result in overheating

Wasn't the new Alfa Giulia confirmed, too? So this isn't everything they're working on releasing imminently-ish.

Yep. That was recently announced so they're probably not too far into it yet. Most of the cars shown above we've known about for a very long time so one would think they should be pretty close to ready.

The PS4 Pro is the equivalent of an overclocked PS4. Its why the console is thicker, has 3 heatpipes and a bigger heatsink. Obviously the hardware is a bit refined. 4.2TFLOP vs 1.84 GPU. 2.1Ghz Jaguar CPU vs 1.6.

Not really.. maybe the CPU is just overclocked.. but I am pretty sure that GPU is a complete upgrade. Double output from a GPU by simply overclocking it (yet still being reliable for muli hour use daily for many years) would be the most amazing overclock, ever.

Is the juicy part that we get it all this month?! (Probably not.)
Hell no. Probably some time in the summer. They need to space out DLC packs, it's not like they have a team of artists cranking out models. Plus the costs of licensing, all that jazz...Although, I did see that pankykapus said it only took 6 days for him to bang out the 911 Turbo S 3D model. That blew my mind.

I'm guessing the juicy stuff is the new Ferrari pack that we'll be getting. Remember, Marco was visiting Maranello and gave us a couple of photos so the hype train could start rolling... It should be another good year for new cars coming to AC.

A new season pass must be due fairly soon after Porsche Pack 3 for consoles...

Perhaps. They never did one until the console version hit the shelves. I certainly don't mind saving a couple of bucks. They're very fair deals to me.

They said we can vote for 7 Ferraris so this means at least 8 Ferraris are coming, surely?

I don't know. I think DLC packs are usually around 6-7 cars and sometimes a track. We know the 250 GTO is coming - Marco made it perfectly clear that he wants the 250 GTO and he will allow the Enzo in the game over his dead body. No, he didn't really say that...but I'm pretty certain he did say he doesn't want the Enzo in his sim.

EDIT: Speaking of Ferrari's...I just installed a new 250 GTO that's supposedly updated. We'll see in just a few minutes. I also installed two older race cars: F333SP & 312PB -- I'll give those a go as well.

Review? And links?
Please forgive me...I ended up doing a lot more stuff than I originally planned. The two cars are pretty fun. I like these old race cars. They're freaking fast though! They might be old, but they can boogie. I wish that I could have done more in-depth testing tonight but I ran into a big problem with one of these Ferrari's and it took me quite a while to fix, plus I got stuck doing some other things here. Without further ado...

Ferrari 312PB - https://mega.nz/#!kAc0nRoL!PlEBrWbCutEgpGA9F28HH_QcJVqQJRH4O_fpJhyxl-A

Go ahead and take the Ferrari 312pb out for a spin. If you hear a high-pitched squeal and it's annoying the heck out of you, then you're going to have to go into:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\content\Cars\ferrari_312pb\sfx and edit the file called "GUID.txt" that file assigns all the sounds to various parts/features of the car. You'll need to delete this line:

{49c58bb5-0d68-4678-84d6-8139d28ddfb5} event:/cars/ferrari_312pb/transmission

Once you do that, you should have your sanity back. I wanted to shove pencils into my ears. It took me quite a long time to figure it out and then I noticed if I had just scrolled down a bit, when I downloaded it, they were talking about this issue and how to fix it. :banghead:

Well after a couple of months of playing AC i can say the ONLY things it has over Pcars1 is :

- Car Audio is slightly better, also on the other AI cars around you.
- Physics are more refined, you can 'feel' more contact on the road and what the tyres are doing.
- Ferraris/Lambos are in it.
- Tracks feel more realistic thanks to the laser scans.

In my mind EVERYTHING else Pcars does better, and i think i may go back to it until Dirt 4 appears. AC just feels so bare-bones,a work in progress game. The career is very soul-less and i got bored very quickly, you have to grind some of the championships to get to some of the juicier ones, and frankly i cant be bothered.

Custom Championships wouldve been a big bonus - but i havnt heard its coming in the next console update??

Thank you for sharing your findings on what works for you both in AC and PCars. My only suggestion to you is to use both for what they have to offer, instead of choosing one over the other.
