I'm using the T150 wheel with 20%, 0%, 0% settings and i wish i could set road feedback to minus value. Now there mostly isn't any mild detail in ffb on tracks like Brands Hatch & Nordschleife, all even slighest bumps feel way too strong, like crashing a wall with jamming feedback even on flat sections.

Isn't 20% very low values for more powerfull T300 & G29? Is this all about force feedback smoothness?

I remember reading somewhere on Gtplanet that Kunos increased the force feedback strength of low end steering wheels.. If that is true, T100 might need it, but if they increased T150's aswell, i hope they tone it back down.

Here goes one UDP application more compatible with Assetto Corsa on PS4 and also Xbox One called SIM Dashboard.
Don't know if it's available for IOS.

Link to the app on Google play store :

I tried this one out. It gives you 3 widgets for free. I used the large round shift light with the digital gear indicator overlaying it, and then the g-force/g-ball graph next to it. Watching a replay with the g-ball graph is a pretty nice touch.

I had a look at this app and it is impressive! I tried a few quick combinations of widgets, up to the 3 available for free, and enjoyed the results. I may very well have to go Pro on this app.

It is missing an ERS bar as far as I can see and a couple of readouts are crooped incorrectly but otherwise it is terrific. Thanks a million for sharing it.

I took a quick look through the pCARS UDP apps thread.. I am looking for a cheap mount to use for the cell phone / tablet apps. Was thinking maybe something like THIS . Would allow me to attach it to my wheel stand and move it around to get it in a good view spot.. Anyone try something similar? - Edit - previously with pCARS I just put velcro on my phone case and put it on the bottom of the tv screen which was not ideal.

Went pro on this just so l could get the lap count, current, last, previous laps and delta of screen and on to tablet, got the current gear, shift up indicator and led rev bar which is free on a old xperia phone, lovely clutter free but the delta doesn't work properly as it only shows the red down time which is no good for me as l only get faster and faster:lol:

I did not try it. But I fear that attaching that to the wheel stand will resemble to this:

I'm also using a T150 - 20% FFB would be way too weak for my taste. I'm at 75% with the other values in the 5 to 10 range. I've tried them at 0 but I prefer particularly a bit of extra road feel.

I've been trying to make the most of this week's PlayStation free multiplayer event and have finally managed to try Assetto Corsa online.

I only did two or three events, but I have to say that they were quite enjoyable and none of the chaotic mess I was expecting. In my most recent and interesting race I found someone with basically the same pace as me and we raced the whole time together - until, that is, I was caught off-guard by tyre wear (wasn't really expecting it, although I had the graph turned on) and the gap got to about 2 seconds at the end.

Also, here's the obligatory funny online moment from this race:

I do have one big complaint: the type of races available is appalling! It's all GT3, GT3, Nordschleife, GT3, Nordschleife, GT3, GT3... Repeat.

This whole obsession over GT3 is driving me crazy and apparently it extends to AC online as well. It was hell to find anything that wasn't either GT3 or basically driving alone at Nordschleife.

Why t-cam?

Sooooo is it worth it to buy this game if i only play with DS4 controller? I now play Project Cars and i like it but damn i want to drive Porsches!!!!

How is it graphics and sound wise compared with Project Cars?

IMO there's only one way to find out if a game is any good, just try it yourself. Everybody has different opinions on what is good or not.

I think that if you enjoy Project Cars you will enjoy Assetto Corsa. It's different. Each has it's pros & cons. The only person who can convince you which game is better is you. Project Cars 2 is supposed to be coming out around year's end, which is very encouraging. It sounds like it could be a great title. However, what are the chances PCars 2 releases without at least 1 delay? In the meantime, you could probably have some good fun with a new racing title, Assetto Corsa. My personal feeling is buy it! But, I'm also on PC and Assetto Corsa is a bit better on PC than console.

More than a bit ;)

Not just because of the features from the PC that were promissed, but also appears to me that PC is much better because of stuff like RSR, minorating, mods...

But IMO AC in consoles deserve the effort just because the physics.

A racing wheel is not an option i like playing in the living room on my sofa.

About AC

I bought it with season pass controlls and gameplay feels nice! Nicer then PC i think. But why its so crap to catch a slide with these games and a controller? If forza and gt can do it why nobody else?

Graphics...... mha not bad but not PC either. The chasecam is unplayeble and for me the only one that i like is the bonnet cam but then the sound is so damped! But it plays nice but i like to see the cars so the chase cam is a shame.

For now i like to play it because of Porsche and some other cool cars..... untill GT Sport and/or PC2 is here. Shame that it cost me 80euro. But he not have any choice For now.

Please GT Sport have Porsche...... :( or a release date would be fine haha

Once the weekend is over and this thread gets a little busier, perhaps someone will be able to hep you with your controller issues. I thought people using the Chase Camera were a myth! I can't believe I actually met one out in the wild. :D  j/k I play with a wheel & pedals, but I'm in a crummy situation too. I have to sit about 8 to 8.5 feet from my TV screen and I sit on an old beat up recliner chair. My wheel is attached to the most flimsy tv dinner table ever made..It is so terrible. :grumpy:

GT and Forza are not simulation titles therefore their physics are softened or made more accessible and as a result you can do things in those games that you cannot in a sim.

It's not crap at catching slides, just not as simple. Also it can depend on controller your controller settings. I pretty much have my settings perfect for me to catch a slide in any car, though in the new Porsche GT3 and cup car my settings are more sensitive than with any other car. Drifting in drift cars is almost impossible unless you tweak your controller specifically for that.

This game gets better as you get better, though I'd seriously consider pretending the chase cam doesn't exists.

I have something very similar on my rig, I did stop using the clip and just bolted it on, but its perfectly good and stays in place.

You can just about see it in this video in the top right hand corner wheel cam view. In this case its running PCars Dash, but I also run it with AC and have just gone pro on the SIM Dashboard app.

Its an OK app, but it does suffer from the issue that AC is not putting all the data out via UDP that PCars is (if you can give the range of widgets you can run on PCars a go in comparison to AC - a lot are missing from AC due to the limits of the feed).

What cam do you use and witch settings you have?

GT and Forza are not simulation titles therefore their physics are softened or made more accessible and as a result you can do things in those games that you cannot in a sim.

Generally speaking, the distinction between simulation and arcade tends to be oversimplified. It's worth remembering that FM6 is designed for the standard controller for Xbox One whereas AC is designed for wheel users. So playability suffers when using a less than optimal controller. In my opinion, the physics differences between the two aforementioned games are too subtle to blame the simulation value for things that don't translate well to the chosen type of input device.

I use cockpit view (Steering wheel showing ) .

Speed Sensitivity = 70.

Steering speed = 100.

Dead zone = 10.

Filter = 60.

Gamma = 2.7.

Bear in mind you wont necessarily like my settings, i have a few different ones you can try but it's probably worth just playing the game for a week or two before you start trying to find the perfect setting. I've tried setting everything to zero too and ony touching the gamma, you could try that too. Vibration is personal preference.
