AC was half price on PS store as well as Season pass. So I guess the 0.164 cents per day isn't worth it. You also get free PS3 games that you can play online for free. If someone complains over 16 cents a day,we'll then you must have some serious financial issues.

So you wouldn't complain if GTP suddenly cost you 16 cents a day to visit but offered nothing new that was of any benefit to you? Just that you now have to pay for a service you previously received for many years for free? Somehow I doubt you would be complaint free. :sly:

Sure there's a lot of silence concerning private lobbies, custom championship and new track for consoles...

I read above that online is now not that bad, I guess some idiots moved on, but I fear as much as serious drivers did the same while no words or hope is spent from kunos.

It's getting like a wasteland day by day, sure dlcs do bring some people back (likely those who bought season pass...) but how long will they stay?

It's getting late kunos. Time to act, fast.

They haven't been silent at all. Private lobbies, the new Audi, and the new track(s) are coming to consoles in the next update, and they announced it 10 days ago.

What? Is GTP offering free games, discounts et all too. No! Free was for the PS3. Now they have that new system, you now the PS4.What does it matter to you? Are you paying for it on your PC ? Maybe people should look into something before they buy it. Or save your money.

PS3 online was not known for its quality either... I gladly paid for xbox gold on the 360 which was much better.

Gran Turismo games were actually the best online experince on the ps3 that I had.

Ok, say along with the 16 cents a day GTP was offering free yoga classes and discounts on poodle grooming? Would that be of value to you? I'm guessing not. When I played on PS3 I played Gran Turismo and that's it, if I had a PS4 I would play AC and PCars, that's it. So offering deals and discounts on other games would be of zero value to me. Like I said, I'm sure for some people there is value to be had but for me there would be zero. Make sense? 16 cents a day isn't a big deal to me, but it's the principle, which is why I moved to a platform that offers this service for free.

I tried to make this point on reddit and was down voted and argued to no end - You are paying for a grouped service that includes access to their online network, free games, discounts on games/dlc, discounts on other things as well (UFC fights, movies, etc) as well as some free tv shows.

People swear there is no effort on Sony/Microsoft side to provide online security for consoles (quality of said security is not the point here). Look at the number of games that have hacks/cheats on pc vs console and you will see part of the benefit.

Yeah they should allow people to purchase different levels of the grouped service, but in all, it is really not a bad yearly price. I could see a pro plan (current price and services) a middle plan (online and discounts but no free games) and a basic online only plan.

I always say.. if you do not want to pay the fee, don't. No one is making you. Go build a PC and play online for free if PC online gaming for free is going to be your argument. Stop punishing yourself and others.
There's nothing wrong with the price of the service itself, it's the fact you're forced to pay for it if you've bought a game you want to play online. My sub is up for renewal in 2 days and I can't afford it due to so many bills coming in and other stuff I need money for. Which now means I wont be able to play the games online which i paid for until i have some spare cash. Another notch against me buying into next gen consoles.

Payment requirement for playing online on consoles doesn't have sense. Servers are established by the devs, not by sony or Ms. Don't think about it too much: it's just a fraud made by Sony/MS/Nintendo to get more money.
Depends on game, look Pcars.... The Online servers are on consoles P2P servers from Sony and Microsoft up to 16 players.
Same will be for Pcars 2 as ian bell said in the QA.

On PC dedicated server up to 32 players... And free

I only have significant PS3 online experience with GT6, and it was abysmal. They ironed out a lot of the worst in the first year, which along with going to a wired connection helped me a lot. But it was still disconnect city. (I mainly did quick match.)

AC network on PS4 has probably been 5X more reliable and error free than GT6. I'm hoping that's more down to PSN than the developer, and GT Sport's quick match type online activity isn't half as bad as GT6's was at its best.

Don't notice it in my budget, but i was very annoyed when my PSN plus continued automaticly this month, i got message saying my subscription is ending soon.. But after a week or so i started to wonder why is it not ending already, but then i noticed that PS had turned automatic funding on by itself.
Not the first time i get tricked by automatic funding, but Sony really got me as i was planning to play offline for few weeks like i did last month. Stupid hassle.

Yeah their billing system is weird. I use PS VUE for tv now and there are known issues that can happen with it auto billing.. so to prevent any of these issues I add funds to the wallet for two months then remove my card. When I am out and about I try and remember to buy psn cards so that I can just add the funds, I really don't like having my credit card on there at all times.

Depends on what the yoga teacher looks like:cool: Do they groom pit bulls,:dopey:. It's 16 freaking cents a day! Like someone is going to complain about 16 cents and pays $5 for flavoured hot water twice a day,or drinks a gallon of pop. Does coffee give someone enjoyment? So does PS Plus. When GT Sport comes out, watch the whining start. Sony is in the business to make money. You want to play online on PS4 your buying it. Or you just bought a nice black brick.

I understand your point and I'm not saying you're wrong, just giving you an example of someone who does not think it's worth the money do my situation. Since I would only play racing games none of that other stuff would be of any benefit, but like I said I would still pay it, just wouldn't be thrilled about it. As for Sony being in the business to make money, if 1/3 of PS4 owners buy a year subscription they would make around $1billion so I'd say they're doing just fine. :)

And the only flavored water I pay money for is

What's the saying?? "You don't buy beer...you rent it."

When I was trying to figure out whether to just get a good gaming PC or stick around for PS4 and the next version of GT, I do remember being a little perturbed knowing I'd have to pay $5/month for a service I had just gotten used to being for free. Like Brandon, not another game would ever be played on my PS4 - just Gran Turismo - so while $5/month is next to nothing, I do remember being a little bothered by it. The clincher for me, however, was knowing that I couldn't use my DFGT with the PS4. That really ticked me off. Don't get me wrong, I actually want a new wheel & pedals but at the moment, between my health issues and legal bills due to business dealings, I'm having to actually budget for the first time in my pathetic life.

When that Logitech G29 wheel was announced, I couldn't believe my eyes. Did they get a hotel room for a DFGT and a G27 to go fool around and produce this G29 offspring? At least try to make the thing look unique, Logitech!! Did anyone ever do a teardown of a G29 to see if it shares internals with the older wheels? It must...no?

I saw one a while ago now, it's all the same stuff inside as a G27, with the exception of the sensor, which has been changed to a hall-effect sensor, in place of the old optical encoder everyone used to have trouble with. Pedals are identical except for a small piece of rubber that's been put inside the brake spring.

This is old and do you really consider it as news?

No actual words about an expected release, issues, features, anything at all.

Just stated that due to a translation update the one with private lobbies is changing it's release number...

You implied there was nothing but silence about private lobbies, new track, new car, which is demonstrably false as they've announced these are coming in the next update. Not sure why you wouldn't consider it news at it answered the exact questions you asked (you said nothing about release date or features, only claimed there had been zero news).

Not sure if the same thing I had.. but when I moved about 2 years ago I tweaked the stand. So I took the pedals off and I was able to straiten it back out.

Loosen the bolts that hold the black tube that is also the front feet and pedal stop (attached image front.jpg). Then on the bottom rear of the stand there are two large bolts that hold the bottom legs on (attached image back.jpg) - loosen them as well.

Then Stand on it so it all is flat and tighten them all down little by little moving from one to the next until they are all tight. Do not tighten one all the way down then move to the next one, tighten them each a little bit. That should keep it flat.
Well one month later and I finally got round to doing this, all that needed to be done in my case was loosen and fasten the smaller bolts at the pedal side. Thanks again for the work instruction ;).

It's only free if you host the server yourself at home.

That was 7 days ago, must they really come out every 3 days and make a statement? If today the only thing they could say is "hey lobbies out next update" what would be the point when we know that?

PS4 - If you have not bought any of the DLC yet .. now is the time to get the season pass for the NA region

North America PSN Sale for 505 games.

Assetto Corsa - $24.99
Assetto Corsa Season Pass - $14.99

Always on sale for PS4 never Xbox which is pretty stupid. I told People to hold on and that the next Sale might come but it didnt.

With the Price of 40 for the Complete Package this would be a Winner amongst my buddies.

Online is getting fixed,good value.

Just a small point here killerjimbag, Kunos say they are giving PS4 players private lobbies. Nowhere did they say "Online is getting fixed" ;-) For all we know there may be a bundle of trouble coming with the private lobbies. I certainly hope not but you never know.

Just look at how many times PD stuffed up online play with the GT series.

A couple of things are worrying me about this. It is repeatedly said Kunos are a small studio and as such can quickly innovate change as necessary. Kunos announced the the day before release that private lobbies were not going to be available at release. *IF* it was so easy for Kunos to implement Private Lobbies I would have thought that they would have by now.

So 6 months later I still sit here wondering what on Earth will finally show up from Kunos. The one glimmer of hope is now that 505 Games owns Kunos perhaps they have ripped out and online system from another game they have and shoe horned it into AC <shrug>

Kunos will have to up their Game on Consoles otherwise they will drown so fast, it wont be fun. Besides the usual private lobbies/custom championship we are in need of

-customizable controller/wheel settings
-Time-based Races
-more Tracks
-Race Replays online and offline
-Mod Support in terms of Liveries should be possible, it works in freaking Farming Simulator on Consoles

My guess is Highlands will be coming in 2 weeks. 4 weeks after the last Patch
