Had an interesting little glitch on the 250 GTO today.

Took it for a spin round Zandvoort and one of the back exhaust pipes was consistently spitting out fire none stop.. Even when I pitted it was still going.

Not a major thing but it was amusing at the time.

I think this was was a known issue during replays on the console version, if you used the slow motion function. Not sure if it happened every time, or just a random thing.

Did you notice it whilst actually driving, or was it a replay?

Now really, yesterday I tried GTS in accelerometer DS4 mode and WOW! It's so nice!
I wonder why I haven't seen this in AC or PC2!
If they adopt it, guys without wheels can really benefit from such an idea as the one above!

NA - PS4 - DLC is on sale. At least the Ferrari Pack for sure is $4.89 - season pass is $14 - both are a little cheaper with PS+.

I put off buying some of the DLC because I got into GTS and now other games but even if I do not play it now, this is a good deal for the DLC.

Will have a look at the UK store soon to see if they're following suit.

I just downloaded the game for $23AUD(XBONE). Got the Japanese and Ready to Race packs.
Initial impressions:

- The steering and brakes on Default settings. I get no sensation that the controller is connected to them. Especially no feeling of a connection to the road. When I watch the replay, the wheels are turned full lock in the corners, but from in car, I think I have enough turn and it's not enough when I'm mid-corner.

The first car i tried was the AE86 TRD. Had to get used to the sliding. I couldn't "feel" the tyres. Running the standard 5 laps at Barcelona, I also couldn't feel the suspension. again, watching the replay, the car looks too smooth from how I was steering during the race.

Next car was the MX-5 Cup car at Mugello. Much more grip. I liked it better, but again, the steering wasn't communicating anything. I turned, but had to go full lock around most of the circuit. not much feedback with the brakes. I could just stand on them before turning. Not like I can carry speed into the turns. No trailbraking.

Next, the TT Cup car at Silverstone international. Way better. I could trailbrake. Still, I can't feel that connection to the road. No sensation of the tyres gripping the road. I had a better racing experience as I finished top 10 and 15/16 in the pack.

Track list and car list are fine(I thought the Nissan Primera was in the game). I'm not paying attention to the GT3 and Formula cars. I'm more so GT4, Cup cars, Touring Cars.

My settings:
Sensitivity 75%
Speed 30%
Deadzone 0
Filter 0
Gamma: 2.3
Rotation (visual option) 300° (310-320° are fine as well)

Try to focus on smooth, minimal inputs on the analog stick. Treat it as you would treat a steering wheel, so don't move it too quickly left and right, otherwise you're going to have a rough time. Visually speaking, your inputs should 'look' like this in-game:

It's not easy, I know..but with a bit of patience (and further fine-tuning of the settings above), you should be able to enjoy assetto in a much better way.

Waaaaaayyyy more enjoyable now. I'm doing custom championship in a TT Cup car. At Imola qualifying, I left the default controller settings. For the race, i applied the settings above. Totally different feeling. I was able to stay right on the rear bumper of a M235i Racing(Very Hard/Aggression 100%) for a couple laps, before a passing move went wrong. :embarrassed: Good stuff.

Default settings are pure garbage. The settings @DatNoiseV12 posted are very good. I have almost identical settings as those for 2 or 3 cars but with gamma at 3.2.

A few tips for you in case you don't know. Some cars have variable turbo boost so press R1(if that's your mapping) on turbo'd cars to check. Also traction control's strongest setting is the lowest number, i.e 1, the last number the weakest then off.

I'm using XBONE Controller settings 1. Only have TC on/off: RB, Brake bias: D-pad Up.

Pretty much all the items at the PS Store (EU) are on sale right now, all between 40% off and 60% off. The game itself reached a new low, sitting at just €12.99.

Personally, I'm getting the Ready To Race and Ferrari 70th Anniversary packs (for €3.99 and €2.99, respectively).

Thanks for the heads up. I have the season pass but am missing the new ones, might pick them up at some point.

Was thinking of picking up the season pass recently does it not include all DLC then? That would be hugely disapointing if true.

The amount you get for the season pack is well worth it, and the additional ones were released well after and were never included in the season pack.

Season Pass was only for the Porsche DLC but consoler users get an additional couple packs with it I believe. Everything after that is normal DLC pricing and not included in the Season Pass.

For us console users the season pass was all DLCs except the last 2 : Ferrari 70th anniversary pack and the Ready to Race.
The upcoming one that we still didn't get will be free like in the PC case.

Technically it was just the Japanese Pack, Red Pack, and Porsche Packs (so as I said, Porsche plus a couple additional). You got all the previous DLC included with the purchase of the base game.

I'm referring to Console DLCs mate. Dunno anything about the history of the game on PC.

So am I mate. For your Season Pass you got the three Porsche Packs as well as the Japanese Pack and Red Pack. On PC the Season Pass was only good for the three Porsche Packs, we had to pay separately for the three Dream Packs and the Triple Pack which consoles got for free with the base game, and we also had to pay for the Japanese and Red Packs. So my original comment that console players got the Porsche Packs and a couple other packs with the season pass was accurate and the comment someone made about the Season Pass not including all DLC being hugely disappointing is a bit disingenuous considering how much more content you guys got with the base game than PC players get with the base game.

Cheers guys, Ended up just buying the season pass and all the rest of the dlc so it should stop me from moaning about PCARS 2 ffb for a wee while! Happy Days.
Please, come back after a day or two trying different cars. I always like to hear comments from new AC players - good, bad or indifferent - we've gotten them all. Plus, there are many helpful people in these AC forums. Cheers and remember: Careful with that axe, Eugene!
