Really glad to hear the reviews are positive so far. From Failrace, talking about the physics on the PS4 version vs. pc:

"They [physics] are spot on. They are actually fantastic. There was no adjustment time. As soon as you got behind the wheel of whichever car they were driving it immediately felt exactly like I expected them to. The cars behave as I would expect [based on having previously driven the pc version]"

From the interview....
Did you need to bring in new developers used to the new platforms?
We brought one guy in that used to work for Rockstar Games
Classic Kunos. Upon undertaking the most massive thing they've ever done, and entering the cut throat but potentially lucrative console world, with all the pressure it should bring - they respond with a nonchalant "Yeah, we got a guy in"........... and totally pull it off.

The end of that interview made me happy, where Stefano said (like what happened with GT) that manufacturers and track owners are now asking to be put in the game, as opposed to Kunos begging the guys for their licenses and being turned down.

I really hope the game is successful on console so that they can grow much bigger, these guys bloody deserve it. Their heart really is in the right place and they put in so much effort unlike many, many others in the industry.

Listened yesterday night a pre-review from an Italian console magazine/site.
Physic is spot on and the game on ps4 will include all the DLC released, Japanese car pack too. Moreover all the interfaces and menus have been completely redone compared to the pc version.
The said the game has been delayed to meet a better "release window" but also to optimize performance, at the moment on ps4 is running at 30fps with a noticeable anti-aliasing. they said sometimes distracting. They still have the usual graphic trade-off. From videos however it looks really good.

In another Italian interview from a youtuber, developers said more tracks and cars will come as manufactures and simulator producers ask Kunos for their assets. So basically he said they spend tons of money to laser scan everything and than they sell us within the game the same things they sell to the automotive industry. He also said they sell tracks to two actual f1 teams.

I dont know if this has been posted yet but heres a great interview of kunos... Apparently consoles versions have been delayed to optimize the sales not because of technical difficulties. No release during the euro championship wait after the holidays.

Seems a bit odd to me. AC is never going to be a big seller for most people, so having it on the shelf early will still move more copies, football or not. I mean from the reactions in this forum some people are cancelling preorders and stuff just because of the delays. I'm not a marketing expert though so I might be wrong.

Indeed. I really hope they can grow big. I just hope that when they do, they don't forget their roots and become the bad guys: do everything for maximum $$$. Also, the strength of Kunos is that they are a tight knit team, and everything is of consistent quality. If the team gets too big coordination and consistency might present an issue. Fingers crossed if there's a team that can do it, it's KS 👍

Gah, I didn't know it was most likely going to be 30fps. Bit of a shame but the game is shaping up really nicely so far.

all reports ive seen from people taht tried it said they have stable 60 fps.
italian pre-review of yesterday as i reported above.

edit: i just looked on their site and in the video they say 30fps while in the written review dynamic 60fps.

All the reviews says that assetto corsa goes at 1080P and 60Fps on PlayStation 4 and will be 900P and 60Fps on the Xbox One..

Good job from Kunos, but they lowerd cars on track in the console version (max. 16).

Here comes the most realistic simulation game on console..fear it GT and Forza..

good, they probably messed-up in the video review. better for us.

i think 60, i found a mistake in the video i saw...but in the written version of the same interview they wrote dynamic 60fps.

http://attackofthefanboy.com/news/r...s4-and-900p-on-xbox-one-both-targeting-60fps/

Massarutto talked about how the alpha build for the console versions are going. He confirmed the alpha build on PS4 is “hitting a consistent 60fps at 1080p“. He mentioned the Xbox One is not to far behind in terms of performance, but noted it is lower because “it’s less powerful“. The Xbox One version is confirmed to be 900p and they’re hoping to target 60fps.

That was awesome to read! It probably helps financially too. If manufacturers are going to Kunos asking to be in the game, Kunos probably saves a lot of money compared to the licenses that Kunos had to work hard to get.

You and me both. I am absolutely on my hands and knees praying for AC to be a success on the consoles. There is going to be an enormous number of Gran Turismo/Forza fans who will have absolutely zero interest in something like Assetto Corsa. However, I have good feeling that there is also a very sizable group of people who have been longing for something like AC to appear on the console. We know there is because of the people who purchased pCars.

This console release can potentially bring tremendous success to Kunos - which means we PC players are in for the time of our lives...I want to see AC develop and grow for decades to come. While I think they could possibly do that even without porting to console, having that extra revenue helps that process to move along more quickly and efficiently.

Not justbecauseof football, but also because people spend money going on holiday, and also because of other titles being released such as Pcars goty etc

Does it mean AC will be a 30 fps game on ps4 and xbone or are they still aiming for a 60 fps?

That video ^ looks great and I love that sound :)
The M235i Racing is an absolutely wonderful car to drive. A perfect blend of power and just enough grip. See how he gets a little wiggle when the power comes on out of the low and mid-speed corners? Really keeps you on your toes!

Agreed, Kunos really deserves to make some nice moola with the console release. They delivered so much more with this game already than they ever promised.

That said, the fact that more and more manufacturers are beginning to ask for their cars to be implemented is probably also due to them realising how imprortant video games can be these days to build fan bases for the present and the future. And that the general quality level of racing sims has increased a lot in the last years, we are getting to a point where all of them are really close representations of the cars and tracks they are portraying. As a result, SMS said a similar thing about a manufacturer for pcars1 and several for pcars2, if I remember correctly. And I m sure for iRacing and Sector3 it is not much different.

oh boy Spring 2016 is going to be rough on my pocket. AC, Battlefield 1, Gran Turismo Sport, Madden 17, and probbaly few more that I cant think of on top of my head. I don't remember the last time I wanted this many games

It's Spring for those of us in the Southern Hemisphere (though AC is a winter release for us if it comes out in August).
