Wonder how Kaz feels about ACC.
I think he simply doesn't care about it .
He has an arrangement with the FIA hosting the oficial eSports Championship of them, great licenses, 6 studios with employees around the world..

So ACC is surly an no-brainer for Kaz

Hopefully they fixed all bugs, FFB, wheel compatibility and so on
With how the ps4 version was I would be shocked if there wasn’t a few bugs. Seemed like every update fixed some and brought some new ones. The 2020 DLC wasn’t even playable when it first came out.

I hope for the best when it comes to the ps5 version, but it seems inevitable that it’ll have issues.

Anything about SF1000 add-on native support as on PC? Or BT Led at least?

PSVR2 support mentioned above would be immense, but will never happen i guess, cause the game is not meant for the masses, thus Sony won’t subsidize the development.

Making a comparison between these two games has no sense. Gt7 its a game about car culture, and graphics always has been a priority.
It actually makes perfect sense as both will be PS5 racing games. I must admit to being disappointed at the ACC PS5 game play trailer. The pop-ins are far worse than I expected but hopefully that can be fixed and I'm not even sure if they're bad enough that they'll actually affect the driving. I'm not one to notice trees and whatnot while driving so hopefully it's more of just a replay issue.
Both games complement themselves. Buy both!
This makes sense though 👍.

Would be interesting to see if they improved the cockpit steering animations. Both AC and ACC suffered with strange, very jerky steering motions while in cockpit view...

Remove it. Job done :)

Gameplay showed of PS5 still show low shadows (cars seems to float) with UE4 updated they should be able to use AMD FSR on consoles

Rain effects on windshield still missing (was broken with an update on PS4/Xbox one..
Light beam at night could also be better
Next Gen console are now capable of better graphics and details as on certain mid-high PC'S

But with the next Gen version mounted up the existing base code D3T ldt made i Don't expect miracles and neither a big job

Hopefully they fixed all bugs, FFB, wheel compatibility and so on
I was hoping they'd be making a straight port of Kunos' PC version and going nowhere near D3T's efforts... Be interesting to know how it's being handled

I thought the LOD on the rear of cars didn't look at noticeable as on PS4

It was more of the things near to the track that I was referring to. I would've thought there'd be virtually no pop-ins like on other PS5 racing games but that wasn't the case in that clip. There's also this odd Vaseline smear effect off to the sides sometimes when the footage is in car.

The cars looked better for sure, especially compared to what I see on my base PS4... but so they should on a PS5 game. I'm just hoping it's my PC and YouTube compression that's holding it back and it will be better than what I'm seeing now.

Unreal Engine doesn't help the situation. It's a heavy engine. Even PC is struggling with optimization. On top of that Kunos has delegated this to a 3rd party. If it's smooth and the physics and FFB are on par with PC I will overlook the graphics. I put 215 hours into ACC on a 16GB i7 laptop with a throttled RTX 2060, lowering everything just to get a stable but blurry experience with my Rift S, and I LOVED IT! The driving experience is so sublime. I had the graphics down to only 12 cars visible so the 40 car grid wouldn't crush my CPU. Effects down big time so my Rift S wouldn't get crushed. I made massive concessions and still enjoyed it.

Unreal Engine made ACC look much worse than any other sim I played. But I enjoyed ACC the most. It's the one worth coming back to. Graphics be damned, if the console next gen looks decent, is stable, and has the features well then, color me tickled. That's all I need.

EDIT: I do realize that my preferences and expectations may differ wildly from other people. My rant is IMO®.

He doesnt even know other games exist lol. I recall him saying he doesn't look at other driving games, and it bloody well shows. That's why the gameplay is so dull and it's pretty much as it was 25 years ago.
Similar to how some players don’t play other games.

Some players: “What is this ’ACC’? You mean, ABC.”

Other players: ”No, ACC.”

Some players: ”GT?”

Other players: ”No. ACC.”

Some players: ”You’re trolling. Just making up letters.”

I totally hear ya mate.

I played it on a 2008 PC with a plain-Jane "1660" card and had to set everything off or on "low"... at 1080p or not much above that.

Still loved it.

Yes it is, but the creators do expect 90+% of people to be using wheels, so AFAIK it's not as controller-friendly as, say, the Gran Turismo series.

With Haptic Feedback on the PS5 'though, who knows? It depends on how much they code for it I guess.

I’m kind of more excited for GT7 now. The state of play video really took my enthusiasm for it up about a dozen notches. I adore GT Sport, and 99% of my time has been in single player. I enjoy the custom race mode and find the ai to be a real challenge, I’m no alien driver!

ACC was designed and released as a PC only game. PC sim racers are almost exclusively on wheels with rigs. Controllers do not give the emersion that Kunos developed the game for. And I agree. It is a simulation.

I'm not as excited as most people. Car and track lists are a huge disappointment right now. Kaz is an a$$. Does what he wants, doesn't listen to customers.

Psvr support would be nice.. Gt sport and Gt7 has psvr support so can't see acc being played over gt7 with no vr.

With no psvr support I can't see it being a big title at all.. Gt sport and 7 have psvr support so why play Acc

There is no confirmation for PSVR2 support for GT7. Not saying it won't happen, but we can't take it for granted.

Good morning. Is ACC playable with a Controller? I played the first Assetto Corsa and the game was unplayable for me with a Controller.
Yes. AC is playable with a controller with the right settings, but I appreciate it's still difficult for most people. ACC has much better controller implementation than AC though, not quite on par with games made for controllers though such as GT and Dirt.

And sounds better too, so much compression or low bitrate....
I'm sorry, what? This is ludicrous lol

After sweating my ass off for months today i discovered that upping my tyre pressure to 27-28psi makes me as fast or slightly faster than 95% ai fairly easily. I can be in the pack and pass 5-10 cars.. That's 15-20 increments to the right from the default pressures for newcomers. You're welcome. 2-3s per lap gained with no pressure
