Any chance of crossplay between PS5 and Series X?

Highly doubt it would happen, but a niche game like this needs cross play to keep the online portion alive.
That would great. I know the Car X Drifting Online allows crossplay with PC XB1/X & Ps4/5 so it can work. The only issue you run into is that PC gets updates before the consoles so you may a period of two weeks where cross play between PC & console is not possible unless PC downgrades to match the consoles

I’m not sure if the last gen versions are getting updated or not. I doubt cross gen will be possible, hopefully not imo.

I'm excited to announce GTPlanet will have another exclusive interview with Kunos' co-founder and executive manager Marco Massarutto to discuss the upcoming release of ACC on the PS5 and XSX. :) The interview will focus on the challenges of developing for these new consoles, the technical improvements these new versions of the game bring, and the future of the AC franchise.

Let me know if there are any questions you guys would like to see covered. 👍

Will I be able to use my base shakers over udp as I do with F12021 on PS5?

In addition to this, there's also an FAQ coming sometime this week according to 505.

Not sure if I’m too late but I’m curious to know what the PC roadmap is for 2022 and beyond? No idea when to expect the content they teased a few months ago.

Question to ask. Will the force feedback on PS5 match the PC version?

@Jordan unless you've already done the interview with Marco, can we know actually when it'll go to version 1.8 please, as it's still going to be 1.7 next week, thanks

Hey guys, just to let everyone know we have completed the interview and it will be published next week ahead of the game launch. Thanks to everyone for sharing their questions; I think he answered most to some degree. :)

I'm guessing this will be Monday? As the digital comes on Tuesday?

Anyone want to point me in the direction of some good tunes, or an….ummm…”ACC for dummies” guide or the like?

I really, REALLY want to give this game a fair shake! It’s my plan to give it all my screen time after the 22nd until GT7 comes out. I just want to give the physics and cars a fair shake. If it’s anything like GT’s road cars, a good tune helps immensely!

For just jumping in and playing, the two presets "Safe" and "Agressive" on each car are a great starting point. I personally find the Agressive to suit me more, but the Safe is also an alternative if lowering traction control. All you need is a few laps under the current weather conditions to fine-tune tire pressures which are the most important part of the setup.

Anyone can enjoy the game without pulling their hair out by using those two default setups. Just remember to set your tire pressure as optimal as possible.

I 100% concur mate.

I go the aggressive one myself, just tweaking the pressures a bit; they usually seem to need a bit of a bump from the defaults.

I'm over creating my own presets after the December / Jan updates made them unusable. That's many weeks of my life I'll never get back and I'm not going down that road again. Once-bitten.

I've been playing it for about a week after an impulse buy and now that I'm getting used to it I have almost no desire to play GT sport. It seriously wrecked it for me. Enough so I'm going to go PC based pretty soon.

I love Gan Turismo but ACC is so much more visceral and more realistic after spending some time with it.

There's all kinds of tuning stuff out there but I would suggest a different path to give it a chance. Make sure you have steering lock set for your car. Start with the safe or aggressive tune, hit the track for a bit and dial in tire pressures.

From there I study the car and develop a best laptime before I start setting up. Trying other tunes are ok but they can be horribly subjective to driver style and you might be slower instead of catering a tune for what you want the car to do.

After getting more used to the game and a couple hundred laps on Suzuka I'm knocking on consistent 2:00's in the 911 using the aggressive preset with only a few tweaks to aero, BB, tire pressure, and caster.

I'll start working on other tweaks this week and think it's a good idea to learn it as you go instead of somebody's tune that may not suit you.

Dude!!! I feel the same!

So…

After I got done buttoning up a motor putting it through its first heat cycle and meeting up with the COTW guys for our meet, I decided to put my money where my mouth was a little early. I just got done with a 1.5 hour session on ACC. I really took my time to get used to the physics and just stuck with the presets.

Just like you said, it is so much more visceral than GTS. @Scaff has been schooling some us up lately on FFB in the various GT7 threads. I did my best to really pay attention to all the nuances that him and others were describing when comparing GT and ACC.

I WAS ABSOLUTELY BLOWN AWAY!!!

I felt like I knew what the car was doing at all times. The under steering felt right. When the tires caught from undeersteering felt right. The tires loading up in corners felt right. Oversteer felt right. I mean…It was crazy!! It made one realize how basic GTS’s FFB is.

Combine that with the helmet-cam-view-thingee. It was like you said… VISCERAL!

Am I above ever-so-slightly becoming a “sim snob”??

No…. I don’t think I am

Can’t wait for next week, and GT7!!

My question already answered in Kunos forum:

"There are currently no plans to release VR support for PlayStation"

Sigh ..
There is no VR dedicated to PS5 right now. And Sony doesn't allow to make only next gen games working with PS VR1.

Nothing is lost. There are "currently" no plans. But who knows what KUNOS will do if Sony release PSVR2 for PS5?

Lol. Good stuff man!

Even just being able to feel the wheel lighten up during oversteer and actually have a good sense of what the rear is doing was the game changer for me. It's even better when you start to tweak the setup and get good results.

I'm not too snobby but GT will be more casual fun for me. I really want to get into some more serious racing on PC and I'm excited like a school girl for a PC setup, proper fov, and mother truckin triple monitors. Ugh. It's gonna be good.

Next gen version is developed by untold games (old Gen by D3T ldt)
Support for consoles version is in hand of 505games

Don't expect anything from Kunos, they are focused on PC version development and support meanwhile they are in I+D of AC2

ACC consoles has been a good money grap for them and that's it ..

Thats not true aris from kunos said consoles are bigger revenue than pc and are working to bring consoles right up with pc
He said similar stuff with old gen version launch, so I'm sorry, don't believe them anymore, even more after being playing the PC version and see the differences with console version.
So pure "marketing talk".

Marco masarutto also said that once next version get launched they would look into PS4/Xbox one versions how to improve and optimise them and in the FaQ now it says no further updates for those consoles

Original AC did well on consoles (Wich was done by Kunos directly and support also)
But ACC consoles is an other story and didn't sale quite good

I have a strong feeling I’ll eventually get there, but not yet. We’ll see if I can save any money on the back end of my home remodel.

Fat chance

My enthusiasm for this upgrade was kind of dampened when I wasn't sure how much space it was gonna take up. Finding out it actually going to take up less space than it currently does is very good. I haven't really been playing too much lately as I have been waiting for the update. This is going to occupy me until GT7 comes out
