I have a strong feeling I’ll eventually get there, but not yet. We’ll see if I can save any money on the back end of my home remodel.

Fat chance
I know how that goes. We spent way too much money on our new place but the wife was cool with me spending on the rig since I did all the work. For the PC setup I have to sell off a few things but it will be worth it. PC, monitors and some new fancy HV pedals and I should be good except for button boxes and small stuff.

Or at least for a month or two... lol

My wife has told me she wants me to get a wheel for all of my racing games on the console. So when we buy a house later this year I plan on at least buying a wheel. Not sure what I will get though

If you can go for a fanatec CSL DD Pro or at least a thrustmaster T300.
Your wife don't know what she's done.. haha

Get a thrustmaster.

Since I have a T300 also planning on buying the Sf1000 wheel add on later this year.

I know Fanatec is the best but its expensive plus Thrustmasters ecosystem just has me hooked. Plus Ferrari 😉

When we went to a Super Bowl party on Sunday our host had a Thrustmaster wheel on rig. It was a lightweight folding rig. I think I would like something like. Easy to disconnect and such

Speaking of wifes, mine is very supportive that I have this hobby, and says its better that I spend money on my rig rather than booze with my mates at a bar.

But at the same time she questions why everything is so bloody expensive, why do I need 3 steering wheels cause they all do the same, why I need a better pedals, additional springs, the list never ends.. so in the end of the day most will agree sim racing is a money drain.

This is where I'm going wrong, I want sim racing and going to the bar with my mates too lol

I just read a post on the PS5 home screen. It was a FAQ from Kunos. 1.8 is not coming with the new release right now. No cross play PS4/ps5. PS4 will not get updates, maybe patches. 30cars online and offline. No driver swaps, FOV slider, no VR, no keyboard support,

Speaking of wifes and wheels; I made a small limerick a while ago that sort of encapsulates the experience of getting an expensive sim wheel.

Only 2000 Euro a wheel!
Now that's what I call a steal
Sell your house
Say goodbye to your spouse
and the hope of any future meal

(not to be taken seriously)

The FAQ has been updated recently. Before it was saying that Xbox Series S and X won't have any differences, now it says that Xbox Series S will operate in Full HD, which makes sense. Hopefully, Series S owners will also get stable 60fps experience.

Ask her why she needs 20 pair of shoes and 15 different purses. They all do the same 😜

I was thinking that they started working on the PS5/XBX upgrade on 1.7 before Kunos came out with 1.8 so maybe it was hard to switch to the newer version for the upgrade. Just a thought. Still excited to get this next week

I guess we will get Jordan’s interview with Marco on Monday I love hearing from the developers what developers keep you this informed about their game None. kunos is the best.

Yep I can’t wait for ps5 version to just 4 days

Last update on PS4 was in may 2021 by D3T, in the summer untold started on next Gen version using the already existing code of D3T..
I think they would have lost quite some time developing the online section with private lobbies (exclusive for consoles).(1.8.0 came in November 2021 on PC)

In original AC, private personalized lobbies took at least 6-8 months to be implemented in an update, sure, Kunos was at that time smaller and developing for PC and consoles + support at same time

So i think it's probably that the new online UI , optimization,fixes... took to much time to introduce 1.8 Wich brought updated UE4 engine, physics engine, weather engine...

At least, the M4 and 2021 liveries from 1.8 are in this modified 1.7

Thanks for this time. At first I was upset it wasn't on 1.8 but I began to think about it and I am cool with it now. I would rather they release it on 1.7 and everything work rather rushing and trying to get it on 1.8 and we have a disaster

Slightly upset that there was nothing mentioned about support for BT LED, SF1000, FFB improvement on PS5 and if the wheel rotation depending on a car will be set automatically.

And as the owner of T-GTII would love them to utilize the transducer effects.

But nevertheless I cant wait for the upgrade to PS5.

Is this definite about using d3t code?
I’ve not read confirmation of this anywhere except rumours from forum members.

Could you provide a link where this was confirmed?

Easy to know.

In a update of ACC on PC they changed delta time from "000" to "00" , then they implemented it also on console version.. .
Some people complained in the 505games ACC discord and D3T reverted it again to "000".

On PC it is still "00" , on console and the "next Gen" gameplay "000".

So they used the existing code of D3T to build on it the next gen version.

Has predicted lap time always been in the upper left with the actual and best lap times? Or maybe I've just overlooked it in the past.

Yes, but the delta has varied between updates from 3 decimal points to 2 then back again. As PC is to 2 decimal points I expect console to be the same.
