I’m super hopeful this game plays well. Do you guys think the physics will be much different from the current PS4 port game? I’ve been toying around with it lately, but usually give up after an hour or so because I can’t stop from spinning in the 488, the graphics blow and the tuning menus are clunky.

I really want to get into this game tho. GT will always be my main focus, but I know ACC will speak to my soul if I put in the time

What’s an easy beginners GT3 car to get used to the physics?

I don't know about everyone else but I find most of the cars are relatively easy to drive except the Bentley and the Porsche 911 GT3. For some reason the Bentley wants to fishtail coming out of corners if I'm too quick and heavy on the gas pedal. But it's still the fastest car in the game for me. It holds almost all of my fastest lap times. The Porsche has that pendulum effect from being rear engined. Turn it too much or too quick and that momentum from that rear weight can cause it to oversteer and spin out.

I like the McLaren myself.

I might be in the minority on this: if ps5 gets the current PC physics everyone might be in for some bad times. ACC has been unplayable for me since the physics update, but others have said it’s better.

As for beginner cars, Bentley, Mclaren, and Lexus are good options.

After sweating my ass off for months today i discovered that upping my tyre pressure to 27-28psi makes me as fast or slightly faster than 95% ai fairly easily. I can be in the pack and pass 5-10 cars.. That's 15-20 increments to the right from the default pressures for newcomers. You're welcome. 2-3s per lap gained with no pressure
Yeah, the game could certainly explain the importance of tyre pressures better. The "trick" is to drive a couple of laps to get the tyres warmed up to a somewhat steady state, pause the game and return to the garage (in that way the game notes the pressures and shows it on the setup screen) and adjust the tyre pressures so they will be inside the following ideal ranges when warm:

Ideal tyre pressure range [psi]:

GT3:
  • Slicks: 27.4 - 28.0
  • Wets: 29.5 - 31.0
GT4:
  • Slicks: 26.7 - 27.5
  • Wets: 28.6 - 30.4
E.g. if you start with a tyre pressure of 25 psi, drives two or three laps and the pressure has only reached 26.8 psi you need to increase the setup pressure by ca. 0.8 psi.

I just played the game for the first time since I got my Xbox Series X this morning and WOW!! Everything is so much clearer. Before even the lap time in the upper left hand corner was slightly fuzzy looking but now I can see all of the numbers in the HUD clearer, all of colors on the other cars, the trees, other objects at the side of the track etc. really stand out now. Now I really can't wait for this next gen update in a few weeks.

Helmet cam must be a PC only thing for now? Maybe it's supposed to be in this update?
It's already in the console versions, but it looks like we're going to be able to choose look to apex like they have on PC which I am looking forward to. The helmet movement makes me feel a bit sick under braking.

Don't think so. I haven't played it in a while but I'm sure it is in the PS4 version as a view

Where do you choose it at?

Sounds like 2-3s per lap gained was actually due to a bit more pressure........ :D

I'll get my coat hahaha

I'm excited to announce GTPlanet will have another exclusive interview with Kunos' co-founder and executive manager Marco Massarutto to discuss the upcoming release of ACC on the PS5 and XSX. :) The interview will focus on the challenges of developing for these new consoles, the technical improvements these new versions of the game bring, and the future of the AC franchise.

Let me know if there are any questions you guys would like to see covered. 👍

Thanks sir, well any news on console, ps4,5 for me, on kunos sims is of interest.

I love ac on ps4 to this day so much, with g29 wheel.

Hope ac2 will have many more supercars and older road and race cars too.

Even though the sound is great mostly, hope ac2 will bring even better sounds for cars.

Cheers.
Edit: just wish, hope, they will have top support for consoles always.
Edit2: the stats on damage and tire condition etc in the setup dont give much relevant info seems, since when you do pit to see the setup screen, it resets all damage, wear, tires it looks like.

Also proper pit stops.

Great news Jordan.

Some questions i would like to see covered is ;

Will PS4 and Xbox one consoles recieve updates as 1.8 and beyond ?

Will there be at some point cross play between Old Gen and next gen versions online ?

Will there be UDP support on Next gen version Wich was highly demanded together with VoF settings ?

1. Will we have cross play between ps5, series x/s and pc? The player base on ps4 is very small and could be even smaller on ps5. How, if at all, are they tackling this?

2. One of the main selling points of gt sport is the daily races. Are they thinking of following suit and have more daily races running at different intervals? Related to the 1st question, since splitting the lower player base even further would not be a good idea.

3. Will the next gen versions be on par with the pc version and getting updates simultaneously?

4. Will they implement a 120fps mode?

As a league admin in ACC as well as a player,
How will free private servers work?
Will Gportal paid servers continue.?
What's the situation on cross gen play between the same systems Xbox One / Series or PS4 / PS5
Will last gen still be on 1.7.2?

When will the interview be posted?

Any chance of crossplay between PS5 and Series X?

Highly doubt it would happen, but a niche game like this needs cross play to keep the online portion alive.
