So I mapped my lights to a button to see what cycling through them did. And in the 911, the answer is not much. Just on, then slightly more on (or brighter lol). Did nothing much to the road and nothing at all to the roadside. Hope they can find a way to make headlights better.

We should petition for static cam to return, I love that cam. Better yet let us edit replay cams.

Yeah love tv cam choices in ac. Nice if could choose which one for each section yes.

Rather than run at 20fps it jumps between 30 and 45 on base PS4. Try playing with the sun set low in the sky for now until they improve it, it runs better than in bright daylight.

That's not so bad then, with 20 ai?
Cause no shadows and very little light effects.

Here is a quick lap around Bathurst with the Ai. I'm the 488 with the lights off

That looks nice enough, apart from a few big stutters at 1st, maybe cause you switched away from tv cam after?

Speaking of lights, this was a woah wtf moment. Needs to be addressed asap.

Lol, yeah, brighter on the sides only.

Edit: oups messed up my replies, there up in your post copy.

Someone once told me there’s always somebody faster and always somebody slower than you.

I would do just about anything to even come close to your times.
You're in luck because all you have to do is keep lapping and practising. :) Consistency is the key. And it can only come from learning all brake points and doing lap after lap after lap.

When I started playing ACC I was probably at least 2 seconds slower than I am now. It's mostly thanks to following video advice from ACC forum members and devs and the ratings in ACC itself (my load cell pedals probably helped a little too). I seem to be more or less on par with SlowGrayAudi now (1:31:5 on Zolder practise session in Fast conditions) and 3-4 second behind aliens on many tracks. More on some tracks.

But I wouldn't worry about aliens because as you said, there's always somebody faster. :) Worry about being consistent and not overdriving the car.

Do you use the “best line arrows” at all? Maybe on a new track while learning?

Yes, sometimes when learning a new track. But I usually get more out of watching the lines of people who are really fast.
And track guides. Here is a really good series:

Anyone else struggling to stay connected online in multiplayer? Haven't been able to stay in any server longer than a minute since I got the game. Just pops up connection failure as soon as I leave the pits. Internet is perfect so not sure what's happening

I agree,

Im finding that as im lapping in the race im getting faster and more consistently faster lap times compared to practice.

Its just due to being out on track for longer. Just pounding around playing with different lines and braking points as the race goes on. That's what makes it fun, you can really push yourself to become better

If you're just doing a quick race, is there anyway to go in and make some adjustments to the setup or are you just stuck with the default? If that's just the way it is that's fine but in AC you could still go in run with a super light fuel load and run soft tires if you want to even though you had fuel usage and tire wear turned off.

Yes, setup options are accessible before you start the race, and also if you restart.

Everything off that can be turned off. Still haven't found a way to turn off the position display at the left bottom.

My Look Left/Look Right are ∆/X. I need those functions on my right stick.
Just keep pressing the button ( touchpad on DS4), also I need look left/right on my right stick too.

It does have some stutters but the PS4 recording makes it look worse than what I see. Sport mode on my Sony TV really helped make it a smoother experience. I can play for hours now without noticing much.

Loving the helicopter cam personally. Can see those lines nicely
Try helli cam at Spa, that's pretty cool.

@OklaCaliTexan please stop joining any lobbies me and my friends are in. I don't appreciate getting rammed by you not once, not twice, but three times in a single race... and losing significant SA in the process. This has happened in multiple races with you and to other people I know. Please stick to racing the AI.
I did just one online race and decided never to do another.

was rammed twice from behind and received drive through penalty on one of them. I know it’s the same on other games. I guess it’s really hard to code for “fault”

I’ll wait for private lobbies and hope the guys who include me in their PC2 lobbies all get this game

I've figured out the problem with the lights. They don't actually come from the headlamps. Rather, some small invisible lamps further in-board to the centre of the car, pointing steeply downwards

I finally got a chance to have a proper go at this last night.

This is so much different to driving the GT3 cars in AC, I thought i had enough practise in ac to be fairly good in ACC well I was wrong, can't even take blanchimont at Spa without spinning even when after my tyre pressures are up up to race spec.

I used to be awful at Silverstone in AC and pretty good at Spa, now the tables have turned, the physics are a lot more different to AC than I ever thought they would be.

Overall for me it's a scruffy game that doesn't explain the rules and regulations well enough but no doubt will keep me coming back for many many months, love the challenge, oh and the sounds... :yuck::yuck::yuck:

No news of patches for ps4? Been half of the preorder time period done already, 1 week left for issues, stutter etc fixes. Not mean it's been long of course, takes time, months years sometimes hehe but because of this dlc bonus I'm curious of any early news.

God I love this game.

After racing a lot of pc2 I’m can’t get enough of the kerbs in this game!

oh yeah, the curbs. You really got to ride those right. Especially with tyre degradation, the way you enter chicanes and ride the curbs can be a challenge. A nice challenge.

I wonder how PC3 is going to hold its no tyre wear.

Quick question about the Intercontinental GT DLC that's probably answered somewhere:

If you get the digital version for PS4 you get access to this DLC when it's released. Can you only get it if you buy the digital version, or can you buy the physical version and get it too?

You get it with both versions although some people have commented they didn't get it with their physical copy because of the seller.

Also, the DLC is already out so you get access straightaway.

I kept hearing that gt3 cars and curbs dont mix. Although when I watch them they are banging those curbs where ever they can. And still I've heard the curbs are deadly.
So when I booted the game up for the first time I drove on call the curbs at monza and zolder. Those high curbs and sausages are deadly and nasa approved.
