I thought it was always recommended to run your tv with any sharpness or processing turned off? I think game modes tend to do this in any case

Nah Sharpness is separate to gaming mode. Gaming mode just switches off things like like frame smoothing which add a lot of lag

Those who made the ACC port are https://d3tltd.com/

They also those that made the shenmue remasters, known for the bad input lag never pathed out or for the ports/remasters of the Mafia 2 remastered, full of bugs, bad framerate specially on PS4 Pro,very slow support..and Mafia 3 ... also known for big bugs and problems, Sega classic... input lag problems.

Hopefully Kunos simulazione/505games works with them and pushes this studio over their limits to achieve a good support and fixes...

Sure a bit worried now that I've learned ho is rear the console port of ACC...:nervous::nervous::banghead:

Someone once told me there’s always somebody faster and always somebody slower than you.

I would do just about anything to even come close to your times.

Thanks man. You're too kind!!!

Just keep doing those laps. You'll be surprised how much time you'll find. Watch some videos to find references, it helps a lot.

Over the last year since i got my wheel ive realized how much time you can make up in the braking zone. I mean seconds per lap. Its crazy. Its definitely made me a better driver.

I started a mini championship at 90 AI and am qualifying roughly 1.5s quicker than them. Did a last to 1st in a 10 mins race so need to go higher myself. Wish we could adjust AI race to race like F1 or pCARS

Bump the difficulty up to 93. From what i tested last night, at least at Zolder, every 1 point of difficulty made the AI 0.4s a lap faster.

Fair enough, i always have sharpness off in any mode on my tv's, i find it makes everything look like 80's soaps, like the people 'pop' too much. But all the perfect picture, 100/200hz stuff, noise reduction, i always turn off too.
But i don't think there is any way any tv could fix the current stutter in ACC without completely unacceptable lag. Fortunately for me I'm quite tolerant and find it just annoying rather than a dealbreaker, it doesn't give me headaches or nausea at least.

Just played for another 3-4 hours and had first races against AI and race online and the game is fantastic.

Need to find sweet spot for ai next seem to be finding myself in big spaces in traffic and at 90% the ai are too polite

Anyone here on ps4 add me so that you can share play with me? My psn is Lunar_Twisted. Since there’s no demo, I would like to try ACC out before I buy it on psn store in the future.

I struggle to see anything at night in PS4 version, the headlights need to be much brighter! Could be my old TV or need to play with TV settings, but staying away from night races for now
Yeah that was what a group of us found racing at night in one of the races too. It's been said there are higher beams. Perhaps the default is low beam. I've been told you can cycle the beams from low to high by mapping a button. In order to so do under OPTIONS in the right hand panel scroll down to the section LIGHTING SYSTEM. You will see "CYCLE LIGHT STAGES". Click on that to activate the option and then click on an available button on your controller or wheel to map it. Then when driving at night and the headlights come on I imagine with each press of the button you will cycle through the beams.

I've already mapped the button but haven't gotten a chance to try it yet but will do so next time I'm in a night race.

I'd say make sure you switch the lights off automatic in the assists options too otherwise it might not work. Had to do the same with my wipers as they didn't come on at all when I binded them to a button but forgot I'd set them to automatic too. There's 3 wiper speeds. Haven't had a chance to test the lights yet though.

One thing I do love about this game is the attention to detail with the liveries based on the series or race, all with correct drivers.
Such as the Kyalami 9hr or the Bathurst 12hr skins etc.
Some times a whole new skin such as the Team 75 Porsche for the Kyalami 12 hr or just a simple windscreen banner or number board change for others.
And even where they could have cut corners they haven’t such as altering the position of sponsors on the GruppeM Mann Filter Mercedes according to the race/series. Excellent authenticity.

going to have to try this. The cycle light stages doesn’t work for me but I’m assuming I have the lights set to auto

Having the same issue has anyone got a fix or is this a TV issue?? Can't see the timer at the top of screen either
I had this issue solved by using the display format on my tv set to „wide“. Maybe it helps for you but it is an about 10 years old hd ready sony tv because the ps4 got banned from living room to the attic by a higher authority ;)

One thing I thought to myself whilst racing today is I wonder if some people not used used to camera shake over bumps and they think that is part of the graphical issues.

I tried that and still doesn’t work, the lighting is just poor at the moment I think.

Can also confirm. All it does on high beam is spread the light wider and when close to a car in front light it up like a Christmas tree! Going around solo though it offers no benefit and is still incredibly difficult to see at night.

Had a downpour at Kyalami at night just now and it was just impossible to see.

I fixed it by buying a second hand full HD tv

My old HD ready cut of the screen

anyone know how save laptimes in hotlap mode? I was looking to compare times of different cars but it wouldn't even save a single time? I've done 30 laps round and my fastest time is still blank.

Also i agree on the poor lighting. The lights on the training lambo, the beam pattern doesn't make any sense, it stops far too short on the road, almost like the lights are pointed very steeply down, yet it lights up high on items at the side of the road.

My lap times also aren’t saved in practice or hot lap mode. Very annoying.

I have logged the following so far
  • Poor headlights - very short and low throw
  • Not saving laptimes in hotlap mode
  • Cannot tell if you have selected a preset tune or not
  • Cannot modify / overwrite a control setup without retyping the whole name again
  • Poor graphical performance
  • Sometimes when starting off you get stuck doing about 10mph in 1st gear, throttle is operational but non-funtional / severley limited.

Not had this. Is it happening after you’ve switched off the pit limiter?
Im on auto pit limiter. It feels like a very severe pit limiter, or clutch is stuck open and throttle cable is disconnected, the car just won't accelerate at all. However, it's like the pit limiter in that changing to 2nd gear and it's normal again. I'll try and get a video of it. It's happened in both career mode and also hotlap (where you start on the track rather than in the pitlane)

Yes cycle light stages. Rain lights are the rear lights.
Hi @JustMac . I got a chance to do a night race to try out the cycle light stages (low-high beams). I had previously mapped a button on the wheel as discussed so was only to get a night race following that.
I started Career and one of the early events (as a junior or whatever) was a night race.
The headlight came on automatically of course (and not shining enough light as though it was low beam). So now was my opportunity to try out the cycle lights mapped button. I pressed the button but there was no change in beam. The headlight remained low. Any idea why?

I'd say make sure you switch the lights off automatic in the assists options too otherwise it might not work. Now seeing this. So that could be why eh? I'll have to investigate further then. When you get a chance to try out the lights please report back. Cheers.

Hopefully your advice will be illuminating, but I suspect from other comments here that it is just down to poor lighting in the game and perhaps your TV settings / capability. Braking for Ascari at Monza in the lambo career event is near impossible!

In my experience, “cycle lights” only turns them on or off, and there is no “ hi beam” for better visability. I would imagine this is a bug and will be fixed. As it is now, it’s very difficult to see anything at night

I think we were in a race together earlier? I’m sorry if that was the race where I messed up a bunch of times. I had a good run going there for a while and then one when really bad.
