Yes, I believe they implemented the driving style of the real drivers into the behaviour of their electronic counterparts. Could have some side effects I suppose. I haven't really paid attention to it.

I give up.
:banghead:
Might be a silly suggestion, but on PC there is an option to turn ratings off. Assuming that option is present on consoles as well, could you check that you haven't accidentally disabled it?

I just cracked the code. Apparently the ‘Stability control’ assist is not allowed in special events. After multiple attempts at setting times the game finally decided to tell me that. I turned it off and now I have pace.
Yet another example of how this game just doesn’t give you any information, no matter how critical it may be :banghead::banghead:

does someone have serious problems after the update?
I've read several times on Facebook that the game is now even more unplayable. More stuttering and no FFB for example.

Thank you for this, I'm running at 50%, it's getting switched off now

That makes sense, I think I remember the game telling us at the beginning that the real cars don’t get to use stability control, so it makes sense that they don’t count laps when it’s turned on. Glad you sorted it out. 👍

Under tires, just highlight the tire, select it and hit left or right

I only see numbers for tires though, 1 thru 15 or something like that. Which ones are which? I keep having to use the “Wet” setup to get rain tires.

Edit: Never mind, I see it now. What do the numbers mean though? Softest to hardest?

I think they are just different sets (you have limited ones) of the same compound. So if you use set 1 in practice, then you probably want to switch to set 2 in qualifying to have fresh rubber and so on... Each set keeps the wear numbers on that same setup screen.

So they’re not all different compounds?

Does this apply to multiplayer too? I was under the assumption that the game auto switched to new tires going from qualifying into the race

Yes, I think it switches automatically to the next fresh set (or the least worn one if all were already used).

Got my first online win in my first online race. Whoooo hoooo.

Ignore the fact that only 4 started and two quit after 5 mins.

Really enjoying the game. I'm bloody loving Zandvoort but it's also rather tricky.
Congratulations on the victory! History will not care how it was earned. You earned it

What I want to know though, is how on earth do you love that track? You must have phenomenal reflexes and a very good sense for Sim racing because I find that track to be the devils highway.

Sometimes if I restart my race in single player, the wheel will become very heavy. It usually goes away if I restart again. This is not a new bug though, I’ve experienced the same thing in the old AC game with the same wheel (G29).

Anybody else get this?

Yes, occasionally.

Just press options on the wheel, go to option in the game, and click controls... then go back to the race and it will be back to normal.

I just did a 20 mins championship race at Nurb and am trying to figure something out...

There's a 10 min mandatory pitstop in this race, the window comes into effect after 5 mins.

I qualify on pole by 0.5s, it starts to rain on lap 1, I make a mistake and go down to P2.
At the end of this lap, the lead car pits (I presume for wets as the mandatory window hasn't opened yet) so I take the lead and stay out on dry tyres for a few laps (even though it was raining there was hardly any performance deficit for me).

When the mandatory window hit it was still raining so I pitted for wets.

After a few more mins it stopped raining and got sunny again so I had to pit for dry tyres to stop them overheating.

After this second pitstop I was in 17th place and finished 15th.

So I'm confused as to what strategy the AI used. The lead car had to do at least 2 stops and surely didn't run wets from lap 1 to the end?

Something seems a little off. Any suggestions welcome

How long were your stops? Did anything else get changed like brakes as well?

30 seconds. I didn't change anything other than tyres.

I just ran the same race again, watched the entire field pit on lap 1 (for wets?) and I stayed out, on dries in the rain, was massively in the lead, did my mandatory stop and put dries on again, came out 30+ seconds still ahead and when I finished the game said I was in 15th...

But after the podium vid, on the next results screen I was 1st.

Perhaps my first race result wasn't accurate until after the podium screen?
