These guys are great. Sounds like 2016 is going to be another great year for AC. Fangio's F1 car?

I knew about the R18 E-Tron and the TS040 awhile back but since they had not released it to the public yet, I didn't say anything. I am really looking forward to those two cars :)

Supra? R34? 350Z? RedBull? PS4? Xbox?

KUNOS Simulazioni is checking all the right boxes. If it is true what they say and the physics engine won't change when ported to console versions then Polyphony digital and Turn 10 really have got a problem. I've been playing AS since early access and its so nice to play a game where the devs actually care about feedback and not sales.

And don't forget full Oculus support early next year

AC will never compete directly with T10 or PD... not enough licenses, no real car "tuning" or car "collecting", not enough tracks/environments, and most importantly: No significant budget for marketing.

But that's fine, AC on consoles doesn't need to compete directly with PD/T10, as long as they make the game faithful to the PC version players will move "up" from GT/Forza to AC in the pursuit of realism, and they will recoup their costs to port the game.

I think so as well. However, the only thing that will limit AC success on consoles is it's online component and multiplayer. Apart from it's physics and laser-scanned tracks, it's solo gameplay such as career mode, AI and content-wise is still weak in comparison.

With such realism, it is important to have decent online features and great multiplayer gameplay so that we can all compete against each other in online events.

Who knows, cross-platform online racing against each other will give it an edge over Forza, GT & PCARS. Can't remember which game recently announced cross-platform online multiplayer, so it's no longer impossible. Obviously Kunos will need to have a bigger wallet.

I finally got around to playing AC today. I regret not playing it earlier, I love it. I've only been hotlapping so I don't know how the AI is. The car and track selection seems a bit small, but I guess mods can fix that.

The AI is very good since a recent update. There are tons of mod cars, tracks, liveries, sounds, apps etc. You can find them on Race Department or on the official forum. Good luck and welcome aboard.

Anything else you know about but can't tell us? Can you be specific, we won't tell anyone:sly:

They may or may not have mentioned something about an F1 car ;)

I've played the XOne version at their offices. It's identical to the PC version, aside from the nicer UI that they have included for the menus. I'd even go as far as to say the graphics are a tad bit sharper as well.

Regarding the UI, i hope they did not change the structure too much because selecting a car, circuit or mode is very easy and fast the way it is now. Until recently i didn't even notice you could just type the car or the track you want in a search bar on top of the selection screen. Everything is more or less one click away with the UI structure as it is.

The new UI is for console only. PC UI isn't changing.

Was hoping to see the same UI update on PC so that I can simply use the D-Pad on my wheel to navigate around UI while benefiting from bigger text sizes and UI layouts etc. for people using TVs instead of monitors.

There's certainly a lot to like in that message from Marco. I have to say I really like their attitude and dedication. And in addition to the new cars and tracks, single player pit-stops will be a welcome feature. :)

I love what Kunos is doing with their game, but would it hurt for them to be a bit more professional by proof-reading and editing their press releases?

The TS040 was announced a year and a half ago...

I've started playing this again because I got all the DLCs from the Steam Winter sales and I just noticed this on the Gallardo Superleggera S3. It seems like it has lots! of torque; cool little easter egg.
I like that they have a sense of humour and don't take such a clinical approach to the game. In update 1.2.4 they mentioned that there was, "Up to 27% more placebo effect", which I found quite humourous.
