It's just Porsche video, nothing to do with Assetto Corsa I'm afraid...we'll have to stick with European tracks only :/

In few months we are going to give you the essence of all of this. Ah what do you say? The track too, yes.

Exactly.

From various videos and posts on FB, I think it was already safe to say that Laguna Seca will come to AC in a near future. The latest post by Massarutto leaves no doubt about it.

Good news, indeed. Laguna Seca will propably be part of another dream pack early next year, after porsche vol. 3 perhaps? Or maybee it could be part of vol. 3 but i doubt that. There are many cool cars promised for the future, for example, Audi TT race car, R8 LMS, BMW M6 GT3.. would love to take them for a spin around LS, too...

I recently fell in love with Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (Mosport) track. It will never happen, of course, but I reckon it would be such a fun track for AC.

Wouldn't mind Willow Springs, too. :D

VIR is another incredible track, lots of fun in Forza, but we cant have them all (...in AC)
While I'm positive that a laser scanned surface would be superior. I mean, how could it not be? It's a freakin' laser scan! I doubt Kunos would put nearly as much detail into the VIR track we already have. I do wonder, though, if Kunos would give us the 7 or 8 different layouts for VIR like we currently have. This was 2 years well spent on a track. If you don't have this installed go to Race Department and download it now.

EDIT: Skazz beat me to it.

Sebring or COTA would be my preferred additions as I think Laguna Seca is heavily overhyped.
Someone asked about COTA and Massarutto replied: "Well you know, if only at COTA they would be used to give an answer.."

👎

I'm glad it's not COTA, such a terrible and boring track.

Watkins Glen needs to be in AC 👍

I would be more excited to drive the Porsche's, but I don't have a wheel and I dislike playing AC with a controller..

It's great to hear Laguna will be coming to the game. Sure, it's everywhere in the genre, but it adds some much-needed variety to Assetto Corsa. The car lineup is far less of an issue to me than the limited track selection, though I realize it's far easier for developers to add to the latter than to the former.

Oof, indeed. I sat down to play the game for the first time since shipping the wheel back, and... it's not pretty. I know I set some laps with the DS4 when it was first released, but it was with a grippy race car on a relatively simple track. Taking the Levante to Black Cat County was not fun.

The main issue I'm finding when playing with a controller is that while initial turn-in is comically quick (and you can barely use more than 1/4 of the stick's travel), the car doesn't stop turning until a fair amount of time after the stick has returned to dead centre. It's not as bad as the other culprit I've got that does it — NFS 2015 — but it's there, and it makes judging turns a guessing game.

The replay also looked very bad, like the car was gliding over the surface. Will need to explore other parts of the game.

I'd love to see Lime Rock. That's a great track.

It really, really is. Short too, so it shouldn't take too long to scan. :D

Every single game developer makes the same mistake with helmet cams. They make it get blurry as the speeds go up. Doesn't happen in real life. And the surround helmet items don't get blurred either. They usually make the head bounce a lot more than it should as well.

This camera is placed about 1 inch above and 1inch in front of my eyes. And is a really good interpretation of what we REALLY see.

Thanks for sharing. Are you able to setup your in-game FOV to closely match what you see in the real car? I'm always debating how much of the dash/roll bar/windscreen/etc. I should be able to see.

The blur part can be turned off (I'm talking about Project Cars).

Still, the parts of the helmet being blurred makes sense, because your eyes will be focusing on the track ahead, making the foreground objects blurred (out-of-focus).

And in the video your head bounces much more than I can remember the helmet cam bouncing in Project Cars (I think this was adjustable, too).
