To the people complaining about road cars and SUVs in AC:

Here's a Lexus RX Hybrid that was 3rd in class until it got rear ended and finished 19th in class at the 2005 N24.

Sorry but you forgot the official 2016 Toyota Gazoo Racing Team CH-R Racing VLN

Its interesting because it shows the mindset differences that the devs try to set you up for between AC and Forza for example. Playing forza over the past few days you notice a few things, its all about speed. You need to hit this speedcamera at 190mph, do 5000ft jump over this ramp, go through this section in under a minute. It took that game to remind me why I've put over 1000hours in AC, everything is laid out on the table with it, it doesnt temp you to go fast in anyway, it leaves you to just enjoy yourself, the pleasure of driving is what got so many into the game. In forza the logical option is the best option, has it got higher numbers, well drive that then, you still get the choice in AC which is nice, it means the E92 is still an option. Im not trying to put down Forza in any way, its just that Playground games are addicted with speed, the solution to that would be having seperate leaderboards for car ranks.

Obviously, when it comes to Races, Time Trial competitions, Career/Special Events there has to be a big part of the drivers focus on speed...maintaining speed. I know AC gets crapped on all the time as being a Hot Lap Simulator. To some extent they deserve that moniker, especially with the console build. Luckily, for me, I am completely content doing Hot Laps and only racing the AI. I mean, I do enjoy online races, online cat & mouse driving sessions with friends, Hot Lap Competitions, etc., but if ALL of that got taken away I would still enjoy AC just as much as I did with those things.

I'm looking for the most realistic driving experience I can find. I know they're not real cars, but it does feel pretty cool to hop in certain cars and see them react just like they did in the magazines we read as kids or whatever. That's why I don't know how anyone could play these games with a PS controller or something other than a FFB wheel. I'm not putting them down - look at me, I have to borrow a wheel cuz I broke mine - but I just wouldn't enjoy pushing a stick with my thumb. That's just me though...

You have no idea how badly I want to tell you what is happening to your "little fella" after 4 hours and how we treat it......go ahead ask, lol.
Sadly, I've watched those "Emergency Room Nightmares" types of TV shows way too often and I've seen episodes specifically about what we're talking about. OMG. Is it a common thing? Do you see at least one case a year? One case a month? I suppose it depends on whether you're nursing in a city or a remote area. Either way. Talk about embarrassing.

Very curious about when the pack lands on consoles. Hoping for something a little older and down-to-earth to really snag me with either of the upcoming packs; this one majors on new and/or mega-powered, and I tend to prefer slightly slower road cars. Shame the GT4 is only in Clubsport guise... for now?
I'm right there with you. I'm probably 90% Street Cars 10% Racing Cars with my Assetto Corsa hours. I was hoping we'd get the normally aspirated Carrera, but I knew it would be a total long shot. Why does it always have to be the Carrera S? I'm sure we'll get the Turbo S over the regular Turbo sans-S. We don't always need the biggest, baddest models of cars. I was actually very shocked that we ended up with a Mustang 5.0 and a C7 Stingray instead of a BOSS or Z06.

Also, I get a weird issue during replays where, at the same time, the shifting animation will stop working, tyres won't get dirty when the car goes off road, and flames constantly spit out of the exhausts. Has anyone else had this happen?
Are you saying that your tires NEVER get dirty? You don't hear the little pebbles clanking around, bouncing and hitting the bottom of the wheel well?

I just hope that these Porsches aren't outrageously difficult to handle. They look fantastic though.
The street cars will be totally fine. Yeah, rear engine is a little weird at first, but I would think it's really only the old 911s that really have that fear factor. Something tells me that the older Porsche race cars are going to be pretty east to drive and extremely difficult to drive fast! :D But, that's just me.

I was just thinking about something concerned the Red Pack. Are console players going to have their Ferrari's locked? Remember how they added something to our .JSON files that would only let them drive against other Ferrari's of the same model? I think it had to be the same model, but not 100% sure. I deleted that immediately, as I'm sure all you other PC players did too, but console players can't edit files so I wonder what's going to be the deal with that.

They do. And we also hear those nice sounds.

It's just that during replays weird things happen (sometimes).

Once every few months on average, a couple years ago we had two in one shift, lol. You might be surprised to know that it is younger healthy men more than older ones who run into the problem, doubling up on a pill with a working "system" is a very bad idea. Some are embarrassed, some are as proud as a peacock......until we bring in one of the male nurses to "handle" the situation :D.

Ohh...Just during replays. I'll have to look to see if that happens on PC. That's strange.

My God... Two in one shift?! That's incredible!

911 GT3 RS what's up with that one?
Is that one coming?

The street version? I don't think I've seen it mentioned. Maybe since the RUF's we have are pretty similar to that so they decided not to do that one? I dunno. Well, Marco did say a GT3 is confirmed but he just said 911 GT3 which could be a number of street or race cars.

The GT3 RS was part of their inital Porsche Trailer, in fact, it was highlighted. So far, that Trailer is the best indicator of which models might be featured next.

We've got it on PC! It's in my Top 5 favorite AC Tracks. :)

This is what I envisioned in my post yesterday. Minus the FXX K. With all due respect to the 911. My first drive will be the 917. And I don't really care what version. I'm in love. And yes, Portimão here I come.
