Just over two hours for me....

Well, Im driving this Panamera Turbo -- the ONLY tire option are (HR) Hypercar Road tires... WTF?
:odd:

If i'm not mistaken that was the only tyre option on the standard 488 too. Felt too grippy as a consequence.

I have everything installed already, one hour till my small hooligans hit the sack and then it's playtime for daddy!
I heard people complaining about the sounds on the AC forum, what are your impressions? Seeing those patch notes i was expecting a major upgrade.

Pretty sure the tires are specially made for these kinds of cars, not sure there are any other options. I did a quick search on TireRack and Dunlop and they don't offer anything for the 918. This is all I could find, and it says the tires are specially made for cars like the 918 and 458. So, what we have in the game is likely the only realistic way you'd ever drive the car in real-life.

The GT4 Clubsport around the Nordschleife is about the most fun I've had in any sim in a long time.

Good to hear! That's going to be one of my first stops on the Porsche train, looking forward to that car the most.

Well I had some brief time to run quick AI races in the RSR (huge fun, but warm those brakes up from cold or you will say hi to the barriers in no time!) and GT4 Clubsport (relaxed and unexpectedly high grip), then lap Nordschleife in the Cayman road car (for me around Exige speed), before having my mind blown by the traction of the 918 (hypercar road tyres, Nordschleife with "slow" track settings at 15C, my usual ring hotlap setting).

The 918 takes off out of corners with so little fuss, makes the P1 and LaFerrari feel slow... at least until longer straights :) I could see myself spending hours just lapping the three of them (and the Aventador SV) around various tracks, simply because I now can :D

P.S. I did my weekly Forza Apex run while waiting for the AC season pass to arrive, ran the P1 around Spa. Comparing that driving experience to the AC P1 is silly: They are in two totally different leagues...

Yes on the 918, but hypercar tyres on the Panamera which is pretty mainstream?

The Panamera is surprisingly agile thanks to the 4WS.

The 918 is fun to drive on just EV power.

And the 991 Carrera turbo is just sublime, although I would've preferred a 991.1 n/a Carrera.

I looked it up... 2017 Panamera Turbo can have Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires. Don't mistake those with Pilot Sport Cup. I think cars like the 918 that come with Pilot Sport Cup 2 (maybe they're up to 3, I don't know) should have the Hypercar Road (HR) tires and then if you wanna push it a little more, the HyperCar Trofeos' (HT) would be like Pirelli P Zero Corsa Trofeo R tires. Notice the R at the end of that....because they also make Pirelli P Zero Corsa Trofeo tires. Those would probably be HyperCar Road (HR) tires.

These are just my opinions, but the Panamera Turbo does NOT come with the same tire even as an option. Sure, its a bada** sedan, but come on. It drives like it's glued to the tarmac. http://www.motorauthority.com/news/1105325_2017-porsche-panamera-turbo-first-ride you can just search for the word Michelin on that page and you'll see where they mention the optional PS 4 tires.

I've driven the Carrera S and Cayman S on street tires. A freakin' blast. That Cayman has 2 levels of TC. Try #2... It's awesome. It's like barely there, but it's not fully off...I've not felt that in an Assetto Corsa Traction Control setting yet (on Street Cars...oh, Maybe the Vette...maybe).

The Cayman GT4 ClubSport is sick. I'll be doing a lot of racing in that puppy. 11 different ABS settings in that thing!

I think there is going to have to be some brake adjusting going on too. I know Aris said to get heat into 'em and that's totally fine, but I still think a slight adjustment is needed. I'm talking about ABS because I usually run Factory setting, so if it has TC and/or ABS I get those options instead of having to manually turn one or the other on or off each time I wanna drive a freakin' car. But then someone else in the forum was bragging that "Now this feels like much better ABS!" So, what the hell do I know?

@brownninja97 You haven't had a chance to drive the Porsche's yet? Are you climbing the walls??

From Aris:

Dynamic anti roll bars, change their stiffness actively while driving, guided by various telemetry controllers.

991 Carrera S, Panamera G2, 918 Spyder, all are equipped with dynamic arbs plus active 4ws, active differentials, active braking systems, torque vectoring, active brake steer, active hybrid systems where apply and active whatevers...

I wonder if Porsche's documentation on 4WS will help with modelling cars like the FD or R34 where there's not much information on their systems?
