Could be it because in those two last picture I do remember those two places when I drove it in Grand Prix legends
Not a snowball in hells chance. It is the new Scottish track. Isle of Man is impossible. If they can't make Spa original despite having the laser scan data for it because it would take to long what makes you think they could do that?

What makes you think they can't , I SAIAIAIAID IT COULD BE that doesn't mean it is Jesus .

It's a bike track. It will not happen. It is much to big a job to do. It's a massive track. They could laser scan 8 or more other tracks in the same space of time. They are a small 30 person team. The end.

He's right though. They've said they won't do old Spa because it would take too much time, Isle of Man is about five times as big. Plus the engine is limited when it comes to these gigantic tracks. They've said this is a fictional track based on Scotland.

If you don't mind a 'meh quality conversion, swear allegiance to the master race and fire up Assetto Corsa and the Isle of Man mod:

I've done a few laps, usually in older or slower cars, just for the heck of it. It's kind of like running laps on Spa 1966.

My screen was dimmed when I first looked at the second screenshot of the new track, which made the road look like it was covered in snow while the dirty windscreen gave the impression of snowy precipitation. For a second I got more excited than I should.

Try it though, looks kinda cool when the brain is convinced. Anyway, Black Cat County begins to look like a rush job now.

I'm in love, 1:36.

That's what i thought too lol.

Va-va-voom! I never noticed her before. I just spun a couple of laps with my wingless Countach. The graphics are obviously yuck, but while driving that doesn't bother me much. The road surface wasn't as bad as I was remembering. Still, that track needs so much work. Even if you left the textures at that quality, there is still a ton of work needing to be done. But, it's not the worst mod I've ever driven. There are some real doozies out there!

For an rFactor conversion, it's surprisingly drivable. Some places need the road mesh improved though and your car can fall off the map if you hit barriers at a certain angle in some corners (which I've done multiple times :P). Also keep in mind that this is a truncated version and only around 1/3 of the original length IIRC. All of the important corners are there though and the creator only shortened the straights and removed non-memorable kinks. Not accurate, but it's the best that we've got (and no one else has attempted this track so...unless you can make a better one, don't complain ).

Speaking of the creator (Jim Pearson), it's sad that he won't be improving it anytime soon. He originally made it for GPL, but people converted it to other games without his permission and as a result he got fed up with the modding scene and left :(

I just discovered that you can get Bob to drive your car and take control back from him.
Just don't let him do a pit stop, he never comes out again, just sits there.

Oh, it's totally driveable. It's obviously not a fully completed conversion, as you said, many spin outs or even small crashes result in falling through the side of the track mesh or getting stuck forcing you to start over. I ran several laps tonight, although I only finished a few. I rolled a Porsche 908 and crashed about 10 Countach's.:D

I don't know anything at all about the Isle of Man layout. I've seen highlights and videos of bikes and cars screaming around some sections on YouTube and that's about it. Even with a shortened layout, this mod track is mighty impressive due to its size. It's really a shame for the community to lose a talented modder over an issue like this, but I can't blame original authors. They put in a tremendous amount of work to make these tracks. I would be mighty pissed off if I were the original creator as well.

It's a public road closed for racing ( mostly motor bike racing ). Subaru did several TT there.

Yes now you mention that was the guy JIM PEARSON ,he also did Dundrod for GPL great tracks to .
If I'm not wrong he started to continue with Ilse Of Man for the full version .

I just fired up AC for the first time and wow! I ran my first lap on Nordschleife -Tourist in the Corvette C7R and it felt soooo good. I got lost trying to exit to the track but eventually found my way. I'm using a T300 and it felt responsive and accurate using the wheel. I couldn't get into Project Cars because I found it to be so bad with a wheel on default setting. It felt so detached from the car and like I didnt really have a feel for what the car was doing on the road. This felt intuitive, like I had a feel for the limits and quickly knew how hard I could drive. I get the feeling this is going to be a fun experience!

Remember last week when some people were saying a sim isn't a true sim if someone can be competitive with a controller against wheel players? Check this dude out, talk about impressive! I'm going to be racing with him this weekend, can't wait to see how much faster he is than me! :D

Here's the video, in the description he talks about what he uses for controls. Mind boggling, and inspirational.

Welcome to the got lost in the Paddock club! You are not alone in this.

Been a lot of deaths there though.
Oh, I'd have to imagine so. I've had a few chats with people who have traveled thousands of miles to see motorcycle races there. They all said basically the same thing. Loud. Ridiculously fast. Seeing it up close, gives you a new appreciation for the sport.

I don't know if I'd want to go to something like that. If you're standing on the side of a road, waving your "I want to have your baby, Rossi!" sign - you see the bikes shoot past you like laser beams and it's quite a while before you see them come by you again. What's an average lap time for the TT? 18-19 minutes? Something like that, I prefer seeing on TV. Some of the helicopter shots are incredible.

Every one of those riders should be locked up in a mental institution!

252 competitor casualties, about a dozen more if you include staff. Generally considered the most deadly race in the world, averaging about two deaths per year. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Snaefell_Mountain_Course_fatalities

Death aside, I would absolutely love to go to something like this, ideally somewhere that you can see them coming for a little ways, and within view of a jumbotron screen. Sure, they'll be past you in a few seconds but another will be coming shortly behind them, I think they send a rider out every 30 seconds? With most motorsports events you only get brief glimpses of the action, but there's just something intoxicating about being there, witnessing the speed, inhaling the petrol fumes and tire smoke, feeling the ground beneath your feet rumble, and being surrounded by fellow petrolheads. There's nothing like it and once you get hooked on it you can't get enough of it.

Death comes with the territory, just like any other motorsport, if the locals still allow the event to happen every year, maybe they have accepted the risks. Every time someone wears the gloves and helmet, get on or into the vehicle, they have to be ready for the worst, though most of the time they don't think about death at all, focus on the task at hand, go as quick as you can without messing up / crashing. At least that's my view on motor racing, it's risky and injury / death is looming in every corner the faster you go and push and push, or on the strip ( drag racer have balls of steel IMO, especially those with huge HP )

They are not crazy, they just have more guts and ready for everything. The crazy ones are those doing it on the street, illegally and without safety equipment like helmet/race suits - the norm back where I came from/live now, teens racing motor bikes at night, often without helmet, only with short pants and a t shirt.

The dark spots going through the arched trees reminded me when I first saw Star Wars as a child and I could barely keep my eyes open because of the sheer speed they were going through all the trees in Return of the Jedi.

Ouch at the guy going over the edge and bounces over the stone wall.

Amazing really, It's great that he has a way to enjoy AC the way most of us can.

Oh...if they would put a few jumbotrons up I would totally like to experience a race like that. You're exactly right, the sights, sounds and smells - there's nothing else like it. I don't think I would want to go otherwise, especially since motorbikes aren't exactly my thing...but hook it up nicely, and I'm down like Charlie Brown. 👍
