I've never felt an alcantara wrapped wheel. I would imagine they feel wonderful. Probably not as wonderful as the traction rubber on my DFGT, but hey, what is? :D ;) :P

It's nice, but I almost always wear gloves so I don't usually feel it.

Now that I have a PC, functional! I am adding 6 encoders and keeping one of the Dpads. I have a total of 32 map-able functions now. I am also adding an aluminum plate to the back so I can use it on the direct drive setup. I just need to figure out some paddle shifters now

Add an LCD screen and I'll trade you for my Formula rim that you were coveting. :P

Ahhh, now you wanna talk huh? I have no room to add a screen :lol::lol:. I actually thought about going the easy route with this and getting a Fanatec but I really like this wheel, fits in my hands perfectly and is very comfortable. My next wheel will be totally made by me .

System should be here Thursday, hopefully be done by then!

I wish the Fanatec was bigger, the size and shape of the Thrustmaster one is perfect but the build quality of the Fanatec just blows it away.

Interesting. I have had a DFGT, a G27, a Fanatec Porsche 911 GT2 and now a Thrustmaster T300. The only wheel I have had problems with is the Fanatec. The paddle shifter mechanism inside the wheel rim is cheap nasty plastic rubbish. I even bought a new rim so I have a spare in stock. I also had a shift micro switch go faulty too :-( I am quite good at repairing these now, I have had a lot of experience ;-) I should point out the new rim I even pulled apart before I used it and strengthened the weak pivot points in the shifter paddles.

So the PS4 did me favour by not supporting Fanatec anymore ;-)

I've had the opposite experience, two Fanatec wheels and never a problem with either but my T300 had to go back to the factory for repairs twice in the first year of its life.

How the heck do people know how to add encoders and stuff like that to their wheels? Like, ok...I could cut holes, if need be, and mount things nice and pretty. And then what? where the hell do I solder or connect the wires? It's not like the wheel comes with instructions that say, "If you want to upgrade your wheel with homemade do-dads..We've left a board for your wires that will perform functions that we didn't build into the wheel ourselves. So just plug 'em in and away we go!"

Trust me, I am not that smart! It's actually a whole new board made for this type of stuff, other than the paddle switches there is nothing Thrustmaster left in the wheel. Although I am good with a soldering iron and have a very basic understanding of electrical stuff, I am sure you could do this pretty easily too!:gtpflag:

I used one of these for my buttons. You still have to write the code for it though.

Right now i feel like my girlfriend broke up with me, she promised an Alfa Giulia, a new track, she showed me pictures of how our life togheter would've been with an Audi R18 and a Toyota TS040 but than she left and now all I have left is hope she will call before the end of this Q1 of 2017 full of promises

Did you download it from the Starting guide that Tomo emails you ,,,on step 4 ?

Yeah I did bud, he got back to me a while after and said sometimes Windows changes the language due to regions settings or something. Told me how to change. dll file to straighten it out.

Got the motor indexed and had trouble getting the offset figured out. Just read that you have to save it to default and eprom. Just a tough learning curve, hopefully over the hump! After I do that, should I be ready to go?

Thanks bro!

Yeah when your saving stuff in Mmos ,,,,eprom or game profiles etc,, press save and then press save again just to make sure it's saved properly ,,, if you only press save once is doesn't always save,,,

just a little tip for ya .
