I voted for Honda. Would be fun drag racing Civics :)

Lol.

In all seriousness I'd love to drive the stock S2000 and NSX around Nurburgring (From Kunos or Mod). Been hope for a great physics sim to come by with Nur. GT5 was great and spent thousands of hours with stock S2k and NSX on Nur alone, but there's still missing.. Physics and that Vtec sound.

My hopes for an official TransAm series from AC are gone with this pole. They stated their opinion on the classic cars. They don't see it as something that will be popular. Here's to hoping the mod community steps up with something.

Im also hoping this next patch adds something to do with the game other than hotlapping. New tracks and cars are nice, but with nothing but hotlapping available Im not very eager to see what they'll be. I can only circle a track so many times alone and then Im done.

Lol.

Yeah, I'm so hoping for a good quality VLN mod for AC we already are getting many of the cars that race there, it really wouldn't take a lot to do it! That would be all I'd race! Forget all other tracks and series!!

More hints of what is to come, looks pretty clear we are getting this Lotus roadster, the Mclaren MP4-12c and the rest of Silverstone.

Cool. But I really want to try out a GT3 car! Do we have any idea as to what content will be paid DLC?

:indiff: Still nothing to do but hotlap.

Yeah, we need multiplayer beta or a.i.. But we also have to understand that this are a very small team. almost 1/40 or more (correct me if i'm wrog) of what PD or T10 is.. Heck even Iracing and ISI team is huge compare to Kunos. So we have to be patient, especialy with this type of sim.

Yeah I know Im being impatient. Im just really tired of all the half games that seem to be the new normal for PC racing. It seems the only developer releasing finished games is Rezia Studios.

Yeah. But I'd prefer this than waiting forever. Besides, I knew we weren't getting those things anytime soon. Not when they'd showed so many cars/tracks they were sitting on. I knew they would go this route of a couple cars/tracks every update since it would buy them some months before than ran out of things they had stockpiled.

They've actually updated things a lot more with each build than I was expecting. Anxious to hear Oculus Rift impressions with this build.

rfactor 2 is another game people complain about. And deservedly since AI is worse now than when it first launched. But with the original retro tracks, and some awesome track mods like Ring, Lemans 91-96, Longford 1967; even that has developed into a sim with pretty awesome content. So if this is what they need to do to support small teams over long time frames, I can live with it. So long as they deliver the way they have.

Here I leave you a gameplay with one of the new cars added today in Assetto Corsa, it's the McLaren MP4-12C, and the lap is at Silverstone GP.

Hopefully modding will be enabled soon and that the modding community embraces AC. I may be a minority that KS can afford to ignore, but I have little interest or desire to drive 300+ hp, sequential gearbox cars. Looking at their car list there is scant to garner my interest. Wish they would include a series 1 Elise with the Rover K-series engine in with all those Exiges/Evoras/allseemlikethesamecartomes.

how does gran turismo 6's handling/forcefeedback compare to assetto corsa? I usually preorder every gran turismo game but i didnt this time since gt4 and 5 disappointed me.

AC is more advance on physics compare to GT6, so it's not a fair comparison. But GT6 physics is pretty good consider it's a console sim, especially if you pick the lesser grip tires compare to stock. Project CARS looks like a contender for the best console sim too, (who knows, never really tried Pcars, but heard good/bad things about it) so you could check that as well.

I am wondering the same thing. I did try GTAcademy this year and its the difference between a game and a simulator to me. My question is: Would I be able to enjoy the wealth of content of GT6 given the disappointment in the driving experience compared to AC or rF1.

GT6 is a big stepup from GT5 but it isn't really in the same league as Assetto Corsa. I've been playing GT6 today and there are some nice improvements, a lot of stuff is the same. If you buy GT6 with Assetto Corsa expectations then you're going to be disapointed.

Not given the new build a go yet, will probably try it at sometime tonight. Been spending my time with GT6 and enjoying it, but like I said... you can't compare it to Assetto Corsa as a simulator, it's not even close. FFB in GT6 feels more like it's connected to the weight transfer on the car, rather than being connected to what the tyres are doing. Turning power steering on feels like its more connected to the tyres in that respect but it also feels very strange, twitchy (similar to powersteering FFB in GT5 actually).

Hard to describe the FFB, but again not really comparable to Assetto Corsa.

For not being new tracks, I really like the additions. A non-chopped Silverstone? Thank you. And the short track version of Vallelunga is nice for the lower HP cars.

EDIT: Lordy, I just discovered the G-Force settings and the tricked out engine in the BMW M3. This update is all kinds of awesome.

Got the game yesterday from a friend as a belated Birthday present.
Was quite some work to get the gamepad controls set-up properly and my current GPU is having issues with it, but the physics are great.

The more time I spend with AC the better I like it. The UI is so natural and easy to work with, the driving so sublime.
I cannot wait to see how multi-player works.

On another note: has anyone tried Time-attack? I am find it much more engaging than hot-lapping.
