On the topic, what sort of CPU, GPU and RAM needed to run Asseto Corsa at medium resolution (720p) but with almost everything enabled and high graphic details, I only have small monitor, and more than 1 year old PC, so if I want to play at steady 40fps and 720p, would it be too much to ask ?

What GPU and CPU you have, 1 year PC means nothing. Apparently a ATI HD4870 is enough, the triple monitor setup at gamescon was running on a i7 CPU with a GTX680 at 60+ FPS, so for a single 720p screen i suspect you don't need a high end card.

I don't think any system requirements have been posted by Kunos, I would definitely go with at least a quad core processor and a modern mid-high end GPU. I don't think it'll be extremely demanding so anything on the current mid to high end would run it with no issues.

I will be putting a pc together primarily for AC and possibly rfactor 2. Am leaning towards an i5 3570k and a gtx660 ti. As long as the motherboard and psu can handle a second gpu in sli, I should be able to go to triple monitors on down the road. Does this sound reasonable? Overkill? or need I aim for more?

The PC was actually given to me by a family relative a few months ago, it was custom built, mainly used for internet and work for now, didn't really look into the specs yet. I am planning to use it to play AC, from what I can tell it has i7 860 2.8 GHz CPU, a few gigs of RAM, and GeForce GTX 460 1GB GPU, should it be enough for mid graphic at 720p and 40-60fps ?

I'm just hoping it will run on my computer. nKp runs at max just fine on my computer despite it being a piece of crap but these graphics are better

About this and few other posts above, I don't know any other requirements for now, but it will be DX11 only, so atleast you need a GPU that supports it. Windows Vista or newer required.

Guys if you are building a PC for AC wait the reccomended specs. I wouldn't be surprised if they are considerably higher than rFactor 2. Graphic looks seriously insane. They way it moves, the incredible graphic engine fluidity, the total absence of bugs, flickering, and that stuff.

All of this for sure will require quite some hardware.

I guess yes, but i can´t be sure since there is no system requirement info yet.

Why don't they say anything about a demo or release date, and also they are not doing their best at advertising, many people I know who are into racing games and sims didn't even hear about it, actually a close friend told me about it

Lol! Ignore the bad mannered children posts and you'll see near the top of the page they have in fact announced a demo is on the way.

There will be a tech preview available to all people who bought NetKar Pro and later a demo will be available with 1 track and 1 car.

I have to disagree here strongly. Please keep in mind how incredibly small their budget is. They dont have the money to spend on advertising, at least not now. How they stirred up a viable hype just by word of mouth and through clever interaction with the media is great. They also had a booth with nvidia and Fanatec at gamescom, thats crazy cool for such a small studio.

They also have done a fantastic job in establishing a very cool and unique style to the hole AC brand from the very first teasers.

Demo will come soon, release is projected for sometime in Q4 2012.

By the way, Windows Vista, 7 or 8 is required. And AC is going to be DirectX 11 only. Video cards DX10 are compatible but might have slow performance. Video cards DX10.1 or later are highly recommended.
Aris said that

And im very happy that technical demo will be for nkp owners first

Yah, the gamescom booth was an excellent move. And 2012 release? awesome
Long time ago, it was certain now it's only possible haha

Ha!! Turns out there's one of those cockpits here on Orlando!! Definitely checking it out this weekend!!

Ok, so I went and tried this thing last night. Initially I was hessitant to post anything about it because the place and pricing for it is plainly criminal! They charge you 8 bucks for 3 minutes of track time counting your outlap wich doesn't give you enough time to even finish your second lap.
So... here we go! Keeping in mind that the hardware used by this cockpit is pretty much high end commercial grade wich ultimately is going to affect the FFB and overall experience.
-Graphics, it looks awesome! Great cristal clear graphics but not the over the top, over done BS we get from other titles. Think of it as iRacing on DX11!

-Sound, it's an F1 car, it's loud! Nothing special but it sounds naturall enough and it works!

-Physics, not enough seat time to do a serious review... but enough to say it's going to be awesome! There's absolutely no need to worry about Kunos going soft!
I went to hot into the first Lesmo having to brake too deep and spun it arround. It felt like a real life spin feels like, not the eternal never ending spin of rF2, not the wait you can't do that so you have to spin feel you get on another betas.
So, after the spin I spen't a good 30 seconds getting out of the gravel traps wich actually work, they slow you down and hold you there like they do in real life. After getting back to the track I took it easy on 1st gear and the bottom of second, the tires where still dirty but I floored it at the top of 2nd and spun it again.
Now I'm in a hurry to get a clean lap in so I got a bit too hot into the Variante Ascari and the car understeered naturally and predictably, some corrections later and i'm out of the Variante with no major drama.
Flying lap coming up and going in and into the Parabolica the car felt well planted and on just my outlap I can already start to use the throttle to rotate the car!
So I went for it and coming out of T1 I got some wheel spin but manageable enough to not fly off the track into the barriers. Second chicane coming up and I get a bit of lock up but a little modulation took care of it, took some curb on track out and the car bounced off of it predictably with some opposite lock. Now set for the first Lesmo and the stupid timer runs out! Sorry guys but I was just not gonna pay 8 bucks again for 3 minutes, this place is an absolute rip off!
Now the software itself and the hardware used in this cockpit is absolutely top notch, other than some wheel aligment issues everything feels incredible! From the seating possition, to the awesome brake pedal wich feels like a correctly bled brake system, to the wheight of the wheel at speed with the aero in full effect wich feels to what experienced race drivers describe all the time.
Very much looking forward to this title coming out!
Hope my review is not terribly lame and boring.

nice. literally counting the days to release...

I'm dfinitely getting NetKar Pro just to get early acces to that Tech-Demo!!
And with the Enduracers Team scouting Aseto Corsa as their possible next platform it only makes it more intriguing!

Guys, I'm having some trouble with NetKar Pro... I know this isn't really the place to ask but I don't want to start a thread just for it and hopefully the offtopic will only be brief.

Basically, my clutch works but doesn't; if I'm not moving then it works, but if I'm driving full throttle and put my foot on the clutch it has no effect whatsoever. The other problem is that my steering is completely non-linear and limited to just over 180 degrees even though in the Logitech Profiler I've set it to 900 and the game recognises it as over 900 when I calibrate the wheel, so I get 900 degrees of in-game movement in just 90 degrees of moving my wheel!

Any ideas please? It's a G27 and I've got a NetKar Pro profile in the Logitech Profiler.

Are there any more videos of this game, Looks amazing but Kunos seem to be keeping all the juicy secrets !

Other than the ones from Gamescom there's not much... They hinted the other day at a BMW GT-E M3 and also announced they are now modeling turbo boost so they might have aquired a new license.

Anyone who has not tried NetKar pro yet is missing a lot as the driving experience is great.
Asseto Corsa, if it is like NetKar Pro with more car real tracks and AI to race against will be an owesome sim experience.

Man! Great video!

The modding, UI, and mobile apps are freaking incredible. I love the way you can move around the UI like in MMO's and being able to develop our own apps for AC just sounds like something that could really take off, there are so many possibilities there - I never want to pick up a keyboard for sim racing again!

I shouldn't have watched this though x) now the wait's becoming so unbearable. These developers may be a small team, but they certainly are extremely clever and getting the most out of what they can make.

P.S. Zonda R

woohoo!! Zonda R confirmed!! And them developing turbo physics could mean the Huayra too?? All of that and the strong possibility of this guys coming over to Asseto Corsa:

Oh God, AC is looking more and more like the new benchmark in sim racing!

2 months for doing a car in Assetto Corsa (uber poly, uber details, uber sound)

6 months for PD for doing the same thing... with crap sound.

How many employers Kunos Simulazioni have?

Kaz... LOL.

Yup, the ER team is going to AC and so are tons of the best F1 mod leagues. And there's tons of buzz going around between all of the top sim racers in the world about targeting AC as their next big competitive playground. The environment that's going to explode out of it is going to be like a new golden era of competitive sim racing. Saying I can't wait's one of the biggest understatements I've ever stated under.
