It took some effort looking for the mods but I finally made it: full wec 2016 grid except for LMP2 (only 3 of them and one is the 2017 Oreca 07 with the 2017 Alpine skin).

Still there is some work to do: I have to find out how many laps it takes to lap the LMP2 cars and I have to work also on the BOP (ByKolles is faster than the Toyota ).

You miss some LMP2 cars? I got some LMP2 cars never released to the public.

Yep. I dont think I miss LMP2 cars, because I think I have all the cars that would fit for that season: Oreca FLM9 (can be used for the Strakka team replacing the Nissan-Gibson 015S), PX2 loire (probably based on the Oreca 05), Oreca 07 (2017 car), Dallara P217 (2017) and ligier 217 (2017).

But I miss the skins. I only have two skins from the 2016 season: G-drive for the PX2 Loire and the Strakka.

Are you using the Kunos 919? Is it balanced with their LMP1s?

Nope. You will have to use the BOP tool so the grid make sense: Toyota are slower than Rebellion and Bykolles. Ford GT are slower than anyone else (even the AM cars). 911 AM cars are faster than the 488 Pro cars.

But I expected it: 911 are the GT3 car, and so the 488. The Toyota uses M tyres. And also probably the PX1 is too fast.

edit: Im using these cars:

Actually I was just trying to say thanks to Cote Dazur for posting those links but I messed up my very first post :-). I was also going to ask if anyone could suggest some hill climb specific cars that would be a good fit for those tracks.

http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/bmw-e36-320-judd-v8-georg-plasa.15760/

This is a real Car with a F1 engine

In RL many old racecars like Group B or GT1 or even Rallycars are used for Hillclimbs. Ac already has many of them. If you want you can search on yt for Assetto Corsa Hillclimb. Most cars that are featured in videos are quite good mods.

Also you quoted the wrong guy:D

That 15 euro price is a bold move, in comparison here is a link to some games on special, humblebundle
from a conversation going on on Chit Chat, I might not be so old or out of touch after all, seems there is many thinking it is a bit much, specially if we take in consideration all the players who won't say it is too much but will still not buy it.
I am a capital equipment salesman, I have learn a long time ago that price is not dictate by what you think it is worth, but by what the potential market think it is worth. There is no right or wrong, there is what works.

On a brighter note, those are the coments from a guy that know a thing or two about modding in AC, A3DR, "The only reason this mod doesn't deserves 5 stars is because the lack of consistency through the entire pack. All the cars should look like the Lancia (Lardo), instead some even have hard edges, low res textures, poor shaders and the damage textures are awful, might as well turn it off to play with these cars.

Sounds share the same issue, some are very detailed, others lack depth or sound muted in comparison.

On the physics side, each car feels unique so it shows a lot of effort went into that. Things can go wrong really fast with the light steering and quick response, so it's riding on the edge all the time when pushed hard. I would say this is the highlight of the mod.

Overall, I was expecting more consistency on the visual department, the cars don't look like they came from the same team of people at all. "

Funny how people are complaining about the price for the DRM mod but I heard very few complaints about the RSS GT1 mod which goes for the same price and has less than half the number of cars. I'm normally not much of a pay mod person but if it's something I really want, like the DRM cars, and I know the quality is up to snuff and original I have no problem paying. I could very easily spend $15-20 on a couple pints at the pub and have nothing to show for it at the end of the evening, quality mod cars will give me hours and hours of enjoyment and will be there whenever I want to drive them. YMMV

Edit: That being said, the current price is probably going to limit the number of punters. They probably would have made more money buy selling it for 10euro instead of 15 just because that many more people would take a chance on it.

Very true, are you getting this one?

Good news, looking forward to read your review.
I've read enough reviews on RD and F1classic forums to say "no" to this mod. Too many negative feedback. I'm reading a lot of feedback that the cars are very inconsistent in terms of quality, including car modeling. If I'm paying 15 EUR, I want high quality* across all the cars. (* i.e. Kunos/RSS level)

I'm still looking for this thing.....wonder if its a pay mod?

I have been looking everywhere I can think of...I can't find that freakin car. Doesn't help that I don't know much about Honda Civic's, so I have to go around looking at screenshots to see if the cars look the same. Is there a specific special model name for this Civic? Also, what road are they driving on? My guess is going to be that this is a car mod made by Japanese modders and it hasn't made it from the Japanese Scene to the US/Euro Scene. They're known to hold onto their mods, just so they can boast about them in the drifting community.

My heel is ready.
My toe is ready.
My bowels probably aren't ready.

Ok...I'm going to write here so I don't have to update a bunch of PMs. I've driven every manufacturer, but not every model. I think it's safe to say that the very first two cars I drove just happened to be the best sounding in all of the pack. When you drive the cars, you'll see what I mean. It's not that the other cars have bad sounds, but some have weird volume levels and some sounds are just plain strange. The BMW M1 car has some strange sounds that I believe are supposed to be blow-off valve sounds, but it makes this odd PUFF!

Also, some of the cars just don't want to turn in. Hey, these are old school Grp 5 badboys and I wouldn't be surprised if some of them did require a new strategy to get these cars around a tight corner. I had a feeling I was jumping the gun with so much enthusiasm in my first review of the Porsche. I stand by what I said about that particular car, but I can't say that those positives apply to every car in the pack. Oh, no. I'm starting to feel crappy, so I must go lie down. :grumpy:

They all remind me a bit of the Fiat X1/9 Dallara 1975 ( https://mega.nz/#!tYMCDJAZ!Kfyj52B9tvD8nDg6xc4VhTdOwX-7tcbGDwPoPW3XdP4 ), which is also an rFactor conversion. If you are happy with that level of modelling then you'll be fine with the DRM pack. They are a little more refined than the Fiat, I'd say. Protip: download the Fiat. It's a lot of fun.

That's not to say this pack isn't with its problems. I think they all drive fine from the few laps I've done in each, but my initial gripes are:
OTT and pretty poor exhaust flame effects. These are just like massive badly-animated flamethrowers and seem to on for ages. Shorter, sharper explosive 'pops' would be a LOT more effective, I reckon.
Driver models. A lot of cars suffer from the classic ripped mod problem of an oversized driver with basketball shoulders who seems to be crammed into the seat with all the associated scaling and clipping issues. In VR I often find my head buried in his chest when I set the view to feel right height-and-distance wise, so looking left and right is blocked by massive shoulders. The clutch pedal clips badly through the driver's foot in the Ford Escort, and all drivers have big flat low-poly steamrollered feet. It's a minor annoyance, but a real one in VR. There are a lot of bright white driver suits too that glow in direct sun like they are lit from within. All shoes seem to be this impossibly bright white and also suffer from this 'glowing' effect.
I was expecting cockpit audio to be a lot more brutal and raw than it is as well. Some cars are oddly muted. One of the cars (I can't remember which) has THE best backfire audio I've heard in ages though.

I need to spend a lot more time with each car to fully explore their nuances but first impressions are a little disappointing. In some areas the pack feels a little like a quick one-man rip rather than the results of a three-year team project, but I think that's mainly because of the low poly interiors and ill-fitting clip-happy driver models that seem to have been dropped in from other mods and had very little attention paid to them.

If anyone is expecting RSS levels of refinement then you need to temper your expectations stat, but there's undoubtedly still a lot of fun to be had from this pack. There are problems here though that simply shouldn't exist in a pay mod that's more expensive than OEM Kunos content.

Edit: the fake brands are a little annoying too, a consequence of pay-modders fear. Donationware would have eliminated this problem and might have been a more appropriate distribution model in this case.

I used content manager's analyze button on the DRM mod and both the Lardo and Puriano 77 (not 79) models were said to have 'low transmission power loss' and wants me to make an adjustment. I'm hardly an expect at such things and have no experience with these cars IRL. Any opinions on what to do? If you adjust the setting I assume you will be unable to run online with them--although I am mostly an offline player myself.

I wonder how RaceDepartment will react to the inconsistent level of quality of this DRM mod. Clearly this mod is not at the same level as the RSS Formula Hybrid 2018 that RD chose to “feature.” This DRM mod is likely not at the same level as Shaun Clarke’s free mod Seat Leon TCR, the other most recent “feature” mod.

I agree, not really great considering they have been working on this mod for a year (as they claim).
