I've tried Veloce GTS-8 and that is a really good car. Kind of wild to drive, like the Cobra, but very interesting.

There was also this Mini Cooper 500 Sport I downloaded a while ago. I do not remember where sadly, but it felt fun and interesting. Had a decent sound effect and physics too.

Anyway, I want to thank you guys for the suggestions. That NFS pack 2 was fun, but I felt the Ferrari 512 had to bouncy of a suspension and didn't feel quite like an MR car would?

Regarding the Ferrari 512TR - It is a car from 1991, but with a whole lotta engineering from the mid 1980s and it's older brother the Testarossa. I've never driven a 512TR so I can't given an informed opinion based on experience, but I do know Aphidgod spent a whole lotta time tracking down actual data for the car's drivetrain & suspension.

I forgot to add:

Thanks to everyone who's been posting all of these awesome mods & links to mods!! The way my health has been lately, I haven't been able to spend as much time on the computer as I normally do. With my limited time, it's awesome to hop on and always have a few new cars to play with. You guys rock! 👍

Just want to post this for others that view this thread, the Mini I was talking about: http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/rover-mini-cooper-1-3i.11576/

Really good model, has custom sound effect and it's physics feel believe-able. Never driven a real one so I cannot comment much further. Only thing I don't like is the kind of weird shifting animation, but overall it feels like an official Kunos car. Has a damage model too.

@above I, like you, never have driven one either. It's a fun car and I won't deny that at all. Just something feels off and it can be a bit hard to put the finger on what it is. The author did a good job with its model/mesh, I will give them a plus for that.

Ahhh! I remember that Mini Cooper. Yes...That thing certainly is fun. Wow. It's been a long time since I thought of that car. Those are what I should be racing. Leave the big engines for the big boys. :P

Regarding the 3D Model of the Ferrari 512TR - that's made by A3DR, the best 3D modeller in all of the AC mod scene for cars. He's the one who's doing the cars for RSS. His Need for Speed pack is beautiful. His Veloce GTS-8 is gorgeous. His Mustang & SE30 Jota Diablo are stunning...and so on... I just pray that he can find someone as talented as Aphidgod to do physics files for his 3D models in the future. Thankfully, I'm 99.9% certain Aphidgod had already completely the work on the remaining Need for Speed cars. :banghead:

I was browsing the Screenshot Sunday on RaceDepartment when I found these beautiful pictures:

Does anyone know which track this is? Looks very detailed and fun!

Don't be put off by the very early WIP nature of this track and the currently broken AI, just enjoy the excellent road mesh and fast, wide flowing nature of the layout. I've been hot-lapping this track all morning in a variety of cars and it's a LOT of fun. This could end up being one of my very favourite tracks once it's finished.

Hi !

Thank you for your advice.
I saw it this morning on RD but without screens, I can't first evaluate, not by beauty but by interest so, all my thanks to you for advise me about it ! ;-)
I will try it soon.

This morning, I was on "Kunos Zandvoort" driving the Matra F2 made by the SBH Team, what a tremendous pleasure to FEEL the car in all the aspects !

Bye and thank you again. ;-)

F1 Simdream pack on Assetto Land, I guess It will be free for a limited time, who knows !? (No April fools !)
- 1937
- 1971
- 1975
https://assettocorsa-land.wixsite.com/assettoland

Don't forget the tremendous and really free mod F1 1975 by AC Legends (in the previous posts here), so far, so good ! ;-)

EDIT
Well, I got free and Simdream stills free to stole money with "physics from outer space" !
For example, on the Salzburgring with the Auto-Union, the fuel consumption is around 0,6 liter by lap !!!
0,6 liter is, with outrageous words, that is the necessary fuel for just start the car ! ^^

I really like this car Estonia 3 ! ;-)

Y4rKo

The author have to decrease (a lot !) the fuel consumption and make the sound tyres skid, and It will be OK here ! ;-)

I am not usually into vintage style racing, but those pictures are bomb! One of my skinning projects I was working on uses the Lotus 98T, so I can relate with the vintage racing stuff.

For some reason the underlying link in your post was mediafire.com_file/...... so didn't work, just as a heads up for people. The text itself is fine and I've fixed it in the quoted bit above :)
Weird! Thanks for fixing it. I've also edited my original post.

Does anyone know of a master list anywhere showing the provenance of AC mods? I'd love to know where they all originate from, especially the good ones. The M1 Procar, for example, is obviously from Project CARS (the liveries are a dead giveaway), ditto with the Ruf RGT-8 GT3 (both of these are excellent, by the way) but there's a whole stack of really good cars (and tracks) that are rips or conversions with no real way of telling where they are from. I *think* I can spot FM4 rips from the overly-dark cockpits that seem to suck light from the air (Turn 10's materials shaders mustn't convert too well, I guess?)... but that's about it.

Hello guys - been really enjoying this thread and have been following it silently but have finally decided to sign up to GTP.

Does anyone have any links to the best hillclimb tracks? These are 100% my favourite to race. TIA
