Monaco 72 billboard update
Guys, here is my quick and dirty billboard upload for Legion´s Monaco *wrong* 72 track.
thx for the update ouf this track!
Do you have an idea how to remove those 'flames' (?) when coming out of the tunnel on the straight towards the 'chicane'?

sorry, App is not the cause.
Maybe [ANIMATED_x]
To be accurate, loading ksanim.

Please wait a moment
I will remake it and try.

sorry, I can't config "PerPixelMultiMap with Emissive" can you describe me step by step hot to install exactly. I've tried with the description on RD but I'm not sure

Ford Sierra RS500 Group A from RD is such a bad car. '
It's unstable as a drunk guy. compared to other Gr. A cars (M3 by Kunos, GT-R by RTM) , this RS500 is much faster , and as i sayd its a torture to drive it

Here it is. Someone can give me some tips for that track light halo? How can I fix it? Maybe some settings on csp?

Yeah I forgot to name the side bit of the road's surface as gravel - hence the 0.9 release, thanks for spotting this - it will be fixed with 1.0!

This Willow track is incredible. I am blown away by it, it looks so slick and the pictures you can take on it it looks wonderful, its the palette, its just about perfect aside from obvious things like a camera for replays...but man, what a great track to bring to AC.

Honest question, how much would you charge to bring a track to AC?

My Dad and family run a race team, nothing fancy, just club racing, but my older bro got us all into sim racing and we really really want a good Mallory Park... we would be interested in seeing what the costs would be like..

I'm curious, how did you use CM for the conversion?

I copied the entire 'driver' folder to my 'cars-off' folder then created a 'ui' folder and .json and a 'data' folder with lods.ini inside it.
Now I edit lods.ini to reference the driver I want and open it in CM just like a car which means I can export the .kn5 to .FBX

If I went on github I could probably find the converter that CM is using.

I can't recall where I originally found this, but perhaps you'll find it useful: kn5conv - Just drag a KN5 file ontop and it will extract everything

You didn't have the windshield problem reported by @Patrick Ellis?

I've had that issue on a few cars before, but they've usually been with older mods. I always assumed it was something related to not being compatible with CSP, but I could be wrong. If anyone else can confirm the same issue, that would be helpful. I just hope it's not a me problem! :scared:

Just ran them on my laptop with vanilla CM and no shaders without a problem. But I remember having an opaque windshield with an older version of the Cougar on my gaming machine with CSP, etc., so it may indeed be a shader issue. I'll try them on my gaming rig tomorrow.
Edit: And the Cougar liveries don't correctly render in CM's showrooms either.

Need some testers for this SCCA Ford Spec Racer. Following the nice updates to some SCCA stuff here. Maybe someone who drove the original that's on Race Department (Or, you know, in real life too) but anyone can give it a go.
The original as you well know to say it lightly, was wilder then a two legged pig trying to cross a frozen pond. I have it somewhere where it can be driven with pleasure and thrown around a little bit. You have to warm the tires up though or else the rear end is going to go loose. And it takes a lap or two because these things don't weigh anything. Warm the tires first.
This is a good example of where actual real world data doesn't necessarily transfer right into AC well because this guy did his homework and all the values in here were calculated for the most part. I don't want to see the car not used. It's a fair model, not super but usable.

Huh, that's odd. They render just fine on my end.

The Corvette worked just fine for me as well.

The suspension feels great like usual if that's what you're asking. However, this is my first time using a Spec Racer Ford, so I'm unsure of how the original mod felt. By your apt description I have a pretty good idea though (similar to a certain Donk, wink wink)

The one thing that really kills this car for me is how surprisingly slow it is on the straights. Makes me wonder why I'd ever jump into one of these over a Caterham or a Radical instead. Like yeah sure, it's a spec series so the cars are balanced, but that's the same with any single-make race. The car just isn't very exciting for me to drive.

I did my race on Road America, which has a pretty famously long straight, and it felt like I was going down it at a slow jog. These complaints have nothing to do with your tune though, it's just the car itself. (This is turning into less of a "your tune is great" and more of a ramble about Spec Racers, I apologize.)

I know, they're not really fast at all. As a kid I got to go into the paddock and see these up close and sit in one for a minute. I guess I just don't want to see them not be used. These are for club and short courses. Sentimental more than anything.
Thanks for taking it for a spin.

I have absolutely zero real world experience, so I can't judge the accuracy. That said, I actually found it quite fun! I think the key is to use it on club circuits. I can see how a long straight could be boring, but shorter tracks are another story. So avoid using it on GT/Formula tracks. I just whipped it around Putnam Park for a few laps, and I think that's a perfect fit for this car. It *just* makes top speed by the end of the straight. I'm sure it will work nicely at Calabogie, Glendale, NJMP Lightning, Lime Rock Park, etc.

Thanks @Beezer215!

I like what you've done with this. I drove it around Road Atlanta for a few laps. It's definitely more enjoyable than the iRacing version (last time I drove it) and the other mod available for AC. The GTR2 version I had was probably the best, but it could still be a challenge to drive.

Compared to those , I would first think your version might be too "easy" and forgiving, but after really pushing it and getting all-wheel drift on some turns due to it's short wheel base and small tires, I think it might be more correct than the others.

One of the nick names for the Ford Spec Racer is "The Pig" because it's slow and has strange handling characteristics. However, if the real car drove like the other virtual versions available for it (except the GTR2 version), I'd have no interest in racing them. This version is enjoyable to drive, and I would hope it's closer to the real thing.

This video popped up for me on Youtube a few days ago. You can see that the car does have some understeer and oversteer tendencies with more drastic changes in speed, especially during deceleration, and the driver has to correct to keep the car under control. I wish we could see the top speed he reached on the straights.

Unfortunately the track, Texas World Speedway, is now permanently closed and is to be leveled for apartments, if it hasn't happened already. You can see it was already in poor condition six years ago.
