Interesting 1938. You can list the cars that are included in it, is there a Mercedes W154 in this mod?

So here's the data.acd for the physics-swapped Rollovers' Caddy. It is of course physic from the GTPlaner version (which I don't know who to ask permission for, if you are then please let me know, I will take it down immediately).

It's not just bare physics swapped either. The wheel alignment/ ride height are changed to match, as well as a reconfigured LED-Shift light :gtpflag:

Good news everyone, GIBBONS's Alfa-Romeo TZ2 received a permanent fix (I have deleted my previous post with the temporary fix to avoid confusion for new downloads), no more texture overlapping and you can paint the headlight sockets independently.

- @GIBBONS - for the original mod
- @norms - for fixing the UV and the alpha blending tip
- @MrB00 - for racing skins

I created a fresh 8K template PSD based upon the updated kn5 file with a custom AO, wireframe etc. to give it a new start. Download the update and template package below, thank you everyone who participated!

Alfa-Romeo TZ2 Update + Template (20200426)

Do you think it would be possible to smooth out the curves of the rear view mirrors a little bit more? Currently the look a little bit "edged" so to say.

Hm.. when i launched CM today, it behaved like it was the first time it was launched "CM was updated" and i even had to type in my full version key.

So much strange behaviour nowadays.

Porsche 992 Carrera S: I'm trying these gear ratios listed below. I think they could still be shortened and tweaked to match the real ratios and get better performance out of the car, and someone with more experience could likely do a better job than I.

These settings are in the drivetrain.ini file. You'll have to unpack the data.acd file to get to it.

[GEARS]
COUNT=8 ; forward gears number
GEAR_R=-3.55 ; rear gear ratio
; forward gears ratios. must be equal to number of gears defined on count
GEAR_1=3.977
GEAR_2=2.857
GEAR_3=2.257
GEAR_4=1.730
GEAR_5=1.225
GEAR_6=1.000
GEAR_7=0.820
GEAR_8=0.620

FINAL=3.925 ; final gear ratio

[GEARS -ORIGINAL
COUNT=8 ; forward gears number
GEAR_R=-3.55 ; rear gear ratio
; forward gears ratios. must be equal to number of gears defined on count
GEAR_1=4.89
GEAR_2=3.17
GEAR_3=2.15
GEAR_4=1.56
GEAR_5=1.18
GEAR_6=0.94
GEAR_7=0.76
GEAR_8=0.61
FINAL=3.12 ; final gear ratio ]

Apparently both 7th and 8th are "overdrive" gears but the original mod's ratios for 1-6 are sluggish, and the settings I'm trying still make the car feel "heavy" in the drive train.
https://rennlist.com/forums/992/1119091-992-gear-ratios-are-shorter-than-in-the-991-a.html

Excellent research!

Here it is ladies & gents. Many thanks to Legion for the 3d Model and helping fix the few issues it had. This mod is truly a blast to drive in any setting! Base setup is designed with understeer in mind for the beginner driver, I suggest toying with it to get the most out of it.

If you've got the old version, delete it first. Clean installs just work nicer. Read the readme or suffer a deadly curse :) Enjoy!

PS: if anyone wanted to add gearwhine noises to the sfx... i would not be mad in the slightest. I have no idea how to work FMOD. :)

I normally avoid American boats cars like the plague but this is a blast to drive. Thanks!

Anyone please?
I did check, the skin folder and has all skins, with the subfolders and files inside.
The only thing I can suggest is another clean installation. Does the car load at all just in hot lap?

Thx! will tinker it some more if necessary

Also, this is new to me, but not new, so might be not new to you, but: vintage Daytona (the beach run).

I know I know it's completely off topic to post a video in this thread. Blame it on the strange time we're living in. Oooh I'm almost 50.....childish (according to my wife). This beach asked for it. It had to be done. I'm sure more will agree?

A bit on topic then: nice Daytona Beach hopefully someone can make it a bit more realistic. Base track is already good & fun.
Just the finishing (texture) touch.

Is this the one with malware?
I think I had an issue with it. What have you heard?

And people accuse me of being drunk..! :lol:

New mod re-works should be back coming in a few days, I've been busy fixing sodding Kunos cars of all things in the meantime. Some pretty frustrating stuff to fix such as:

- Crap shaders on the windows of the Ford Escort and Porsche Panamera
- Broken shadows on the Lotus Exige Scura
- Very inaccurate aero on cars such as the Ferrari 250 GTO, Maserati Levante, Shelby Cobra and Mazda MX5s and RX7s
- The Huracan Performante having too long a folder name to track stats
- The Audi S1 having a horrible bonnet reflection that instead of mirroring the sky, mirrors the track (still haven't solved that one)

Anyway, one thing completed that I thought I would share. The benchmarking on my test track revealed that the Ferrari 250 GTO was basically way slower than it should be. I've solved this problem by creating a 'Racing' version that you can download here:
https://mega.nz/file/uoFBVIIS#jt_zP5oA2WhyRBDueAxrwR4-mX7r-sL0gGG-z-MyqJM

Changes:
- New wider, grippier vintage 60s GT tyre compound, these actually fit the model better if you check in the CM showroom as well
- New aero that lets the car hit a top speed between 175 and 180mph as it should be, rather than the original that hits an aero brick wall at 160mph

Visually there's no changes, I just disabled the road skins for this version and visa-versa, disabled the racing skins on the original, so now I have a road going model and a race ready edition.

!!!!Please note that this is Kunos DLC, so I have removed the KN5s from the download. For this car to work, you must have the Ferrari 70th Anniversary DLC pack, you need to copy the KN5s (main + lods) from the normal Kunos Ferrari 250 GTO into the main folder of this download!!!!

This is a car that was getting passed around between a few of us quite a while ago before the world went all B-movie.
We kind of lost exactly where we were at with it during that time but it was slated for public testing here so is probably ripe for a low-key release.
Anyway, here it is, one of the best racecars ever to be caressed by a spanner: the Toyota Eagle Mk-III.
Changes are listed in the UI.

Many thanks for the release! As an admirer of group c and gtp cars I was eagerly waiting for this moment.
And yes, what a blast: in my humble opinion the best driving 80s/90s prototype by far! Congratulations :bowdown:
The only problem: Nissan R91 et al are in bad need for an major aero overhaul

Thanks Masscot, means a lot! Legion did a fantastic job making the 3d model, getting the physics part (while a bit trial and error) was the easy part :)

And of the GT4's we use in our series... Yeah it's definitely a boat haha

Don't know for sure. I read @Masscot and @Real Toonces posts after having DL and tried the three Mazda's. I had no warnings, saw nothing out of the ordinary, tested and binned them afterwards, not worth having imo.
Was it the painted-on switchgear, the huge panel gaps or the way the steering wheel magically rotated without the driver moving his arms that swayed you?

Worst switches/lights EVER. Yep, just a 2D texture.

The beach lover in me needs to know where I can download this track! :cheers:

Just a word to wise folks, always scan all your downloads with an AntiVirus app first, no matter who/where the source. Standard practice for me.

Not even that (I disable driver's arms in cockpit view). But they did not look good enough in general...

Edit: virus scanner always active...

Yep, mine too. Both of them. The download scanned clear.
I was taking a look at the car with the F5 cam and trying not to barf when the screen suddenly froze and all controls were non-responsive. I alt-tabbed out of CM and there was the message about such-and-such wants to install this lovely DEATHDOOM.exe (or whatever it was called) yes/no?

Ah, I see. Didn't have that on my side.
Just to be on the safe side I just ran a extra scan --> nothing bad showed.
