Thanks for reply man, do you have any of the Extra Effects or heavier options enabled in CSP? Whats your settings for the most part? Sol, PPFilters etc? Just trying to narrow down the reason. This is the first track to ever give me the issue.

I don't have any ExtraFX on. The whole module is switched off as it just steals too many FPS.

I'm on the last SOL in the 1.5. series, the latest CSP and CM. I mix it up with PP filters, switching between various SOL PP filters and a custom filter I edited myself. Everything else is pretty ordinary as far as settings go. 4x AA/8x AF, shadows on 2048x2048, reflections 1024x1024, four faces per frame. CMAA on in graphics adjustments with FidelityFX CAS for Extra Sharpening also on, 60% sharpness. 3840x1080 144 HZ video (fullscreen), Nvidia Gsync (but no vertical sync), 2x DSR with 33% smoothing.

But... I'm constantly fiddling with various combinations in search of the 'perfect image', which lasts about a day until I start the quest for the next 'perfect image'. And of course, none of them are anywhere near perfect!

Okay I will, for the life of me thou I can't find where to turn it off? Can you remind me? lol

EDIT: NVM I found it.... and that did the trick!!! :D

Thanks so much for the tip! Now I can try this awesome track out.

Cheers

There's a recent update for BLM Lights on RaceDepartment which fixed some issues with the earlier versions conflicting with more recent CSP/SOL updates. Maybe you should check to see if yours is up to date. I run this latest version without any issues:

https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/blm-lights.22463/

Or just repeat the start sequence. After a race cancelled, just try a second time and it will be OK too.

Edit: after several drives I now also have to disable BLM lights to get the track to work, no matter what car or how many restarts...weird...

At the risk of sounding like a total noob...what is BLM lights app? I too can't run the track and I don't know where BLM is located.

Found BLM app on RD, but I dont have it.

As I mentioned before
Track using ANIMATED is relatively heavy.
Especially when loading ksanim
I think some people are okay. (People with few app, using light PC)
is difficult..

Gotta say I love the vibe here....no judgemental pricks....

Oooh. If you're looking for that, just try talking sanely to some of the 'friendly people' on the CSP discord. If I were a wealthy man, I'd pay for them to undertake anger management classes. Unfortunately, I'd have to be very rich as I suspect their therapy would have to last for an extended period.

The thing that really grinds my gears is that some of the self-appointed bouncers at the door are so busy telling people to kill themselves that they forget that a number of us (me included) donate to Ilja every month for his work. He's also very friendly and helpful... and they could learn a lot from him on that and many other levels.

EDIT: P.S. If you should happen to read this LeBluem, I'm not referring to you in any way whatsoever. You are a class above the people (or person) I'm pointing at.

Hi, guys!

This is my first attempt of making a PP Filter. So, please, take it easy on me :D

Inspired by this beautiful PP made by @Patrick Ellis in Photoshop:

I made 4 b&w/vintage filters. They are based on the original b&w PP filter - I just would love to add film noise, but I was told that it is not possible achieve this kind of effect with the current AC native filters (only with Reshade, but I didn't want to use it):

1 - B&W Vintage:

2 - B&W Old Newspaper:

3 - B&W Collor Splash:

upload_2020-5-4_22-58-47.png

4 - The most weird one, but I could make some nice images with it is B&W Draw:

They must be renamed from .txt to .ini, and must be saved in assettocorsa\system\cfg\ppfilters

Any feedback will be very welcome and advices are also great. I hope you like it and have some use for it.

EDIT: typo

Cheers!

My next small thing for ya all, a config for Circuito Vasco Sameiro.
@LiquidSkyMan and @safi hellie posted their stuff here today for that track a few posts back, many thx for that. 👍
So I thought all this ugly background boxes on certain elements as crowd or bushes, etc. should be removed and doing it, grass and some tweaks more could help to improve it a bit more ... :)

Master of quality testing Mr. @Fanapryde was satisfied so far with it. 👍
Only not so dense grass as on other tracks was on his list. But I think in Portugal it´s often really dry in summer and grass looks often taht way. But maybe @Paulo Ribeiro can give us his opinion?

Any other feedback is as always welcomed too. :)

Extract it into AC root folder. Hope you enjoy it. :)

Oh, @Masscot just mentioned he got probs starting that track. :(
Track crashed for him to an purple screen on Rift/CM. I´m sorry for that. :(
So, maybe test the track without my config before. I don´t believe it´s the config, but I just wanna warn you... :scared:

Changes made so far:
  • added some lights
  • fixed some elements with solid boxed background and black tent entries
  • new grass added, not so densed for now
  • removed old odd 3D grass
  • overall adjusted brightness, contrast
  • created vao-patch

My dear Slider, you guys are spoiling me much.
Vasco Sameiro location, is in north of Portugal, despite of high temperatures in summer, in north they could be next to 0º sometimes.
Anyway, even in south, if people take care of grass, they will look beautifull even with 40º at summer.

The circuit is nearly perfection. hats off to Liquidskyman, Safi and you, for the astonishing work made.
Let me just post a few pictures of the circuit, for curiosity and maybe as a guide.

Really like your touch Slider, like the grass and the variation of high and color. Good job.

Cheers. ;)

Please guys did any mod of the gran turismo special stage 11 track mod ?? i love this track and i would like to know if anyone had the love to make this magnificent and challenging track !!

So, today in my modding adventures I decided to buy the ACFL 2019+2018 bundle while it was on sale and after watching SimRacing604's review where he said they were decent mods.

Tried my first race at Red Bull Ring and was doing well, I got up into 4th...

...and then:

*radio noise*

"Ey, Se️b."

"Yes ️Binotto?"

*dramatic pause*

"sBinalla."

I clipped the grass on the second last lap on the final corner and binned the entire race. By some coincidence or fate I was driving Seb's car instead of Leclerc's.

That is so awesome!!!! I'm so glad, and humbly honoured, to have inspired you to make these filters! I'm lost for words, really. I have a background in photography. There's a very long story, which I don't think I should get into at this time, about how it all began, and how it ultimately ended. But with that aside, I want to return to doing what I once loved. I've recently been revisiting my old photo archive, and I'm in the process of putting together a new collection of my old works. All will be revealed one day, but it's not something I'm in any rush to complete. But with that, I haven't used Photoshop in a long time, so I've been doing a lot of random things to reinvigorate my creativity, to relearn the processes I once used, and to reinvent my artistic side. One of the major things that's helped has been editing AC screenshots. I never once thought that it could be used as an inspiration for others, but here we are. I can't express what this means to me. I'm trying not to get too deep here, but this really makes my efforts feel validated, and I can't thank you enough!

The filters are absolutely fantastic, by the way! I feel they really capture the classic look I was going for. My computer is a potato, so it's unfortunate that I can't use them during gameplay, but I have a so-called "Screenshot Mode" in CM which runs AC at about 10-15fps, which although is a slideshow, is good enough to take a few shots here and there. I just toggle it on and load up a replay to do so. I'll use these filters in my next set that I add to the photo thread, likely later tonight.

Thank you again @zuotoski! You did an excellent job! I can't wait to see more

Cheers!!

Heres a "short" vid of the eagle (its not short). this is the before. its getting a new engine and revamped aero and tires. this was just messing around with the engine maxed out. excuse my terrible braking i have the loadcell turned up way too high for heel toe. im not strong enough to push the thing and the gas at the same time with 100% force. i was just documenting this before putting the new stuff on it hopefully this week. figured you guys might want to see it. it should have been a lap at watkins glen :/ that's where the official test will be. anyhow its still a WIP...this is just one of the test cars.

No Updates as such

just seemed like the download numbers were super low for such a fun track....it could be optimised more with some object grouping....i just dont have any time to do so

ps thinking of chucking daytona Fm7 on here...as it is....i dont have any time to work on it and feel like i have been sat on it too long..its looking pretty good graphically but needs optimisation...what do you think?
Have you been to Tsukuba?
This is another great little track, just like Lime Rock Park is undeservedly deprived of attention. In Granturismo and iRacing it is very fun to drive it! In FM7 there is a laserscan version that can be transferred to AC, but it seems no one has yet done so.

It seems I was mistaken in the fact that it is available in FM7, it was in FM4.

yeah a correct and refreshed tsukuba is definitely high on my list too..
Along side Dazzorms Rudskogen with better asphalt (looks really fake) and the correct layouts added to Vålerbanen on Legions blog. (my local tracks here in Norway )

I tried this version. As far as I remember, this is beautiful, but inaccurate. I'm talking about the fact that in FM7 there is a laserscan that can be transferred to AC, and then we will get the real Tsukuba. But so far no one has done this. Just an offer for those who know how to convert tracks from FM7: Tsukuba - this is what is missing in AC. By the way, the same thing I can say about Suzuka.
The reboot version is very beautiful ... but it is based on Codemasters (?), and differs from the geometry of the laserscan versions of Granturismo or iRacing. In FM7, Suzuka is a laserscan. And that could give us the correct version in AC.
