Cheers for the reply. I found the RE#30 in the 1982 f1 mod. The one i'm looking for is the one with no front spoiler, that used to break down on the same laps. If one blew a turbo, you knew the other one would also. Prost and Arnoux era.

Only takes 30 sec to remove the wing on 3Dsimed / whichever program your prefer.
Just a wee shadow problem going on, though.

Hello guys after optimising windows10 following this tutorial ( ) my shortcut of content manager
in the taskbar won't launch anymore.
Its says item Content Manager.exe is changed or moved so the shortcut no longer works properly.Would you delete this shortcut?

Any advise on that matter?

If the shortcut no longer works, just delete the old one and make a new one... simple.

Is it me or is this just a good way to data mine...post your gmail account and receive a load of spam - i mean a car mod that isn't even his ;)
I know it's not that difficult these days to find email addresses on the interwebs but people seem very willing to just post their email to some random on youtube.
Thinking the same. I was going to post a throwaway email but someone already commented with direct link.

That's good of them lol. Isn't this Golf from that guy that posted here a little while back gloating about how we can't have any of his amazing mods?
That's why I didn't post the direct link haha. I don't like people coming and whining here.

The Golf is from Darek, just search for the group "Darek's Car Mods - Assetto Corsa" on Facebook... It's a free mod, no need to ask for some e-mail stuff...
Didn't know it still exists and when I search it finds nothing.

Though, with these groups and free mods for everyone, bit ironic...you have to be in it and not share it outside.

This one has been a labour of love for the Team, so here it is and we think its a fantastic addition (and the most accurate version to date) to the AC Track Roster, its a tad heavy on performance which is in part mostly due to the nature of this track with everything (there's a lot of it) being in view most if not all of the time. that said we squeezed as much as we possibly could to give everyone the best experience possible.

A sincere thanks to all the guys and girls who worked on this (you know who you are) you did a fantastic job putting in hours of your time to get this to were it is today.

Most of all enjoy and spread it around - Just please use the provided link - so any updates can be easily added to this link (and there will be some coming i'm sure)

Hi ! :)

In the season 1982 of a mod (^^), I saw a Renault RE30b (1982) with Pirelli tyres... when Renault with the "Yellow Tea Pot", in 1977, introduces Michelin and the radial tyres in the F1 circus competition.

I will really appreciate (and maybe I will be not the only one) if someone could correct the tyre files (which are in the Ligier F1 car of this 1982 season) which I could put in the skin folders.

I tried but I'm not able to see and extract the correct "Tires_EXT.dds" files, I'm really not aware about any third party software to help me, so all my apologies if I'm bothering someone with this "detail".

Thanks a lot. ;)
@ParanoidDoge

It's a question about the tires here so if you can/want to help, thank you but there is no obligation or constraint ! ;)

Hi !

The updates via CM were a nightmare so I did it again and manually the may 18 & 19.

Previous versions were downloaded and even if the downloads via CM are faster, It's better to pick up the cars from the ASR site because the versions are usually not the last ones. ;)

https://www.virtualr.net/twin-ring-...qY4ekH4HVxG34EqEhmzLcKoiyFBiNYOFNGJ0wu2zrf7xs - Seems expensive $16AUD.

I guess it not as expensive as 'The Bend' which is up to $49AUD - https://www.thebend.com.au/simulation

Seems like they mistake Assetto Corsa for iRacing. I have no problem paying for modders quality work but I won't pay that sort of money for one item.

I guess the latest version 3 of the V8 Corsa 2020 mod is no longer available to anyone anymore....bummer....

So they spent all that time & effort for no reason!? I can totally understand them being angry if people are trying to claim their work but at the same time, 99% of people that use the mod are using it in the intention it was meant to be used. The modding community is big for these games, it's a little naive on their part if they thought the odd person or two wouldn't do that. Punishing everyone for that is odd to me.

Don't need another program to change the tyres mate. Select any F1 1982 with Michelin tyres, export DDS, copy that file and paste it to the Pirelli F1 - you need to keep the same file name, though : if the receiving car has tyres_d2_PIRELLI and the donor car has tyres_d2_MICHELIN just rename the MICHELIN file to PIRELLI and voilà - the Renault has the right tyres. Simple as.

Thank you for your help and your answer !;)
The problem is... I searched these files as I explained and I didn’t find them.
I extracted via CM and... You know the rest.

1. Extract the file from Car A, go to the skins folder, open Driver A/B skin, copy the DDS file
2. Open the skins folder from Car B, Driver A/B folder, paste and rename the file.

Here's the file - place it in the Renault / skins / drivers A-B folder x

Hi,
Just in case I missed some answer and you didn't get it, this is the new link:

https://mega.nz/file/u2hBRLIC#srNKaqSlfnWngOPHlc5-FAfQaKSgBIHVI9Fi3z7VUIo
Audi_90_Quattro_IMSA_GTO_1989_v1.9 .7z
158.8 MB

I already had the 1.9 from the old link, but download it anyway just to check.

Dan changed all the skin previews (preview.jpg) and the main KN5 (audi_90_quattro_IMSA_gto_1989.kn5), but unfortunately kept the same file name and version, which is an approach that I fail to understand.

Maybe he did some small visual update to the model, but I was unable to spot it in a quick visual comparison to the old previews.

Take care!

Excellent! Thanks for this, an accurate grid and a preset for the bop etc very much appreciated. May i ask 1 last favor, the link for the Audi 90 from Dan 1.9 is dead, would you considering updating that in the post? i think i have dans 1.8 version, but never grabbed 1.9. thanks again for this, the grid layout etc is exactly what i was trying to achieve.

Man, this track looks fantastic. I gave it a few laps this morning. However, one quick question for all my smart AC people: when im driving on the track from the areas farther away the lights turn on as i get closer to them, so it looks a bit awkward cause they turn off as you drive farther away from them. Is there a setting someone to let the lights be on all the time (like a FOV or something for the whole track), or is this just something I have to deal with? Hope that makes sense.

I'm so grateful, thank you very much for taking time to do this and thanks a lot for your kindness ! :)

It can be configured in sol config inside of game. There if you check "global lights controlled by sol" you can then define when the lights turn on in the settings: at what sun angle and at what illumination. I think default is set to 1100. I change that always to 900, as I think the lights get turned on too fast. What happens here in this track I guess is, that in one part of the track it's darker than on other parts, and with time of day you chose, on that part it falls under the set illuminaton threshold and the lights get turned on.

Thanks for the info - thats another question I had! But my doesnt pertain to the automatic turn on at a certain threshold, i may not have explained it well enough! Its when driving at night and all the stadium lights are on - but basically when i'm too far away on a certain part of the track, the lights turn off, and as I approach and get closer, they turn on, so it seems like a setting of distance, kind of like AI Flood distance but with the circuit.... does that make sense?
