Bristol Motor Speedway...
It's a huge peeve of mine when multiple mods have the same folder name. I wish it were standard to name a track with author's initials, underscore, and then the track name. There would rarely be conflicts if everyone stuck to that rule....

It was built as an add in to the Llamafett version. That is it replaces the AI and adds the dirt version. Has the same name, as it either updates the original or adds extra layouts. (I should make that clearer on the blog)

CSP 0.1.60 is out :)

v0.1.60 • Nice Screenshots: • New options: • Custom name format; • Use name of focused car instead of main car; • Metadata for new screenshots; • Extra sharpening with FidelityFX CAS by AMD (10% by default); • Proper display of accumulation progress without flickering (requires enabled FXAA in AC video settings); • Fixes to reduce artifacts with resolution multiplier; • That new photo mode app: • Composition grid with customizable color and shape; • New slider for aspect ratio (vertical ratios rotate camera internally for effective use of resolution); • Alter sharpening while preview before saving is shown (can be enabled in app’s settings within AC); • Model replacement via config: • Add same model more than once (optionally); • Merge mode for combining contents of nodes with the same name; • Alter position, rotation and scale of inserted model; • New INSERT_IN as an alternative for INSERT_AFTER, to specify parent node; • New SKINS option to specify car skins for replacement to be active; • ACTIVE option is supported now; • Use mesh filters for INSERT_IN, INSERT_AFTER, HIDE and so on; • New template config custom_rims.ini allowing to set custom rims in four lines per LOD; • Changing car color online fixed; • Smart Shadows with triple screen fixed; • Smaller fixes. https://acstuff.ru/patch/?get=0.1.60

Hey... I wasn't questioning if it was legal. All I meant was, if it was a cracked version, my suggestion may not work. That's all.
My apologies if i sounded harsh, a couple posts before yours had focused on that possibilty and i was trying to put it to rest. I appreciate you took the time to offer a suggestion for me to try.

This version is really good. I think it's a conversion from rFactor 2 (He also did a shift conversion, so I'm not sure if this is rF2 or Shift to be honest), and aside from the Kunos banners all over the start of the track it looks really good, all while maintaining a great frame rate. I really like this version.

I made two billboards packs for this track ages ago.

Awesome that makes sense. Ive edited the entry with that clarification.

Sweet, I’ve added this to the entry as well!

Wow, the road version burns just under 14 L of fuel per lap at Road America (non lilski). With a full tank, I can barely eek out 5 laps....

Totally agree. The longest stint you can have on a full tank is about ten minutes. That's nuts. (Negative nuts.)

Here is a simple set of cameras for the tri-oval layout of the fabulous new Daytona from the Reboot Team. I believe the ones supplied were just the same set used for the sportscar layout and weren't really usable. Remove the ".txt" from the filename and place "cameras.ini" in the tracks/rt_daytona/tri-oval/data folder and allow it to overwrite.

Edit: I decided to have a little fun with this and created a couple more camera sets called "Crankitup" and "Nosebleeds". Use Crankitup when you are using a car with excellent sound. The cameras are close to the action and the sound is the star of the replays. Nosebleeds provide a view from the cheap seats.

Clarification would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again!

Sure of course.

I'll provide an example, not to pick on any particular creator, merely because it is the one that drove me to have a dig around in the files for a fix and subsequently, doing the mass cleanup which fixed other conflicts I had noticed over time. Funny enough I was on a GT3 race on the now deprecated Daytona and the Huracan was making no noise. I was in the Audi R8 with modded sound.

Just to note that I have never done any sound modding / fmod stuff and so maybe I should provide some terms and conditions; I take no liability for any broken things and stuff... blah blah, you know the deal :))
Make a backup of any file you edit just in case. This is just what I read to be the correct format after looking at some of the documentation, as well comparing the format of some well regarded mods for reference and just doing some testing.

Attatched first is the GUIDs from ACFAN's Audi R8 LMS 2016 sound mod. The edited version follows. Simply removing the huracan entries made the Huracan sound return.

As you can see all event:/cars/ entries that are for other cars can be removed.

Same goes for "bank:/" entries for other cars like "bank:/tatuusfa1" can be removed.

All the "bus:/" "vca:" "bank:/common" "event:/common/" "event:/surfaces/" "event:/collisions/" etc are to be left as is.

Also attached is one of many examples you can find that are a pain to clean up if you do what I did. The GPL Mclaren has a big mess listing a thousand other cars.

You will notice that the tatuusfa1 pops up in maybe 80% of smaller mods. I think because from memory, the documentation within assettocorsa\sdk mentions starting with a KS car for a starting reference and people seem to think you must start with the Tatuus because this is the one mentioned as a base example in the guide.

Anyway as I said I may be off base and maybe completely wasted some of my time, audio is not my area at all and maybe just removing a single line could stop the conflict but I slimmed all my files right down as it fixed all existing problems with silent cars, caused no errors and I hate a mess when there doesn't appear to be any need for one.

Someone who knows better could maybe give some actual experience and skill based knowledge.

Sorry for the essay, hope it was at least moderately understandable!

Take care )

New from Discord? LOL
This was just shared here a page ago earlier. You even provided the same link as was shared here.

You are joaking with me and even worst, you are joaking with an intire community.

The link you have posted plenty of proud, it's nothing more, than the link I provided in the previous page. 🤬

What are you trying to do? Get some atention? Really? Shame on you buddy.

Cheers,
Paulo

Be reasonable. Sometimes people do post things without having read all previous pages. It's not like Fred just posted a useless photo with no link.

I wasn't trying to be a meany pants. I was just eluding to the fact that once a link gets shared, it's funny how it makes it's way around and comes back to the place of origin. I was eluding to the comedy of it, not that it was a mortal sin by any means. Ha!

Your post was fine Beezer215, but I don't think the other post accusing Fred of attention seeking was really necessary.

I like it when we avoid those sorts of disputes. The overall lack of them here is one of the things that makes this forum more pleasant than most.

Thanks so much for the clarification & explanation on how to rectify!! This issue has been bugging me for quite sometime now, and i now have an idea for what to look for should I decide to try to fix a replay sound problem. I even once experienced watching a replay where one of the Kunos BMW M3 E30's had no sound, whereas the others on track did.....very confusing considering that all the cars use the same code...but I guess the reference to many other cars in the GUID confuses the sim. Your clarification also explains why many mods show tatuusfa as sound in CM. In any case, thanks again, really do appreciate the time spent, very much appreciated!!

Thanks Gerberger, I guess I'll have to bite the bullet and try to do a file integrity check, figure out which mods will have to be re-installed after and if that doesn't fix it live with it. At least it hasn't affected my gameplay so far.

A random thought, maybe someone can confirm?
Would it be possible to rename the content folder, then create a new empty content file, and let the integrity check fill it so that you can replace if after?
Maybe it's a good idea to prevent losing edited stuff. Because, other than that, it's just installing sol and csp.... maybe a phyton app.... but I don't even know if those are affected by the integrity check.

The lod 1 has 'opaque' instead of alfa testing thing, i tried to change it but then the windows in lod 1 went fuzzy and lost all the interior!
Its borked i can't fix it, problem is once you see it, you cant unsee it...well i can't anyway..
Worse bit is knowing when it switches to lod 2 the car isn't near me anyway so pointless.
Hopefully gzero can have a look at it.
Exactly. So I was right, it needs a windscreen fix like the ones we were doing 2,3 days ago.

Inner glass needs to be changed from whatever it is (usually kspixel... something) to ksWindscreen using the script file named "car folder name".ini and placed it Documents folder. The dirty fix we were using before with changing from alpha blend to alpha test does exactly what happened to this car, it hides the outher glass. And the next time you open it, it is changed to opaque and you get a double vision screen. So someone used this dirty fix.

All cars should always have: outher glass = PerPixelShader, inner = ksWindscreen and both to alphablend. And if there is some third material used over the entire front screen, like decals for example, it should also be changed to ksWindscreen.

Now...sometimes innerglass can not easily be selected by clicking on the front screen from outside of the car. So what you need to do is rotate the car so that you look at the front window through the side door window. And keep clicking on the front window through the side window. Now you will be able to select it. Hope this is somewhat clear. I know it sounds complicated, but it really isn't.

Also this some didn't get put in as i think it was missed on the PM's.
Changed number so won't overwrite Jodys brilliant ones.
