Delete that low-res low-rent anti-manga skin I did for Tokyo R246 last night and drop this one in instead. It's not perfect as the original mapping is FUBAR (I just LOVE it when a modder maps the same DDS to different billboards with different proportions) but it looks better than the default bollocks did, and ridiculously giant billboards are always tricky to pull off so these ones are painted on timber boards with quadruple the resolution of the original billboards. I've also updated a couple of the gantry billboards for something more appropriate, including a 'Tokyo R246' logo for the start/finish line. New normal maps are included for all of them this time too.

Unzip and drop into the acf_tokyo246 track folder.
This hopefully makes the track more acceptable until *pleasepleaseplease* somebody does a proper version from scratch.

Could have dropped in the Gran Turismo balloons and blimp from Deep Forest too, I suppose.

This is awesome, man. Let us know if you decide to drop the balloons and blimp in too. I'd like to see that. Thanks for this.

I'm keeping your old skin for prosperity, because, dangit, that is the funniest name:

I've just noticed that almost all of the corner distance markers are missing from the forward route. Not sure if they were there on earlier versions, but all the reverse route ones seem to be in place. The wording on the street signs has gone AWOL too.
Nothing to do with me..!

Noob question. 💡

Will it work, if I add the Detroit Foxeway Pit Boxes Extension, to this Detoit version?
If yes, what would be the folders/files to add?

Thanks

I've knocked up a quick road sign texture but - of course - it's mapped with different proportions around the track. Oh well... silk purse, sow's ear. I'll update the skin tomorrow and add the GT ballooons and blimp.

My fellow OCD-patient, what would your condition say about enhancing Tiago Lima's Fuji and alex meyer's Jerez a bit? Both tracks can be found on RD. Both of them are almost very good tracks, but they have the same fault: terrible Google Maps -background texture which makes me feel like driving on Google Maps instead of AC. Replacing that with pretty much any simple ground texture with little variation would work wonders, I think. I'd try it myself, but my "modding skills" are at this point limited to 2D and this would require 3D-software.

I'm suggesting this you because you seem like a dude that can get things done. So, if you ever have the time and your OCD forces you to...

@slider666 and I are currently working on an overhaul of the Jerez from RD 👍

After spending a lot, maybe too much time on this car. Here is the:
Nissan 370z GT4
Thanks to @MisterWaffles for starting this GT4 project we've been on. @Xedrox for the skins for the car. @Fanapryde for testing, no one is as thorough and meticulous.
BoP'd to Guerilla and Kunos. Tried to get the feeling and sound as close as I could to onboard videos. Car is a GT4 so quite easy to drive once you get the tyres up and the hang of how it feels with a hint of understeer.
Known Issue: Interior is not VR friendly. Was not going to spend the time separating each interior object to retexture but at least nicer than the original fake plastic look.

If you find anything wrong or think you have an improvement, please let me know.

Some fixes for the chicane-less Lemans 1989 that was posted earlier this week or so.

I went through and fixed the transparency method on all the transparent materials. My god, there were so many more than I had initially estimated. People, cutout signs, light sources, rails, fences, tents... lol. Also added a VAO patch.

Happy Racing, bruddahs.

in some vids on this thread, i saw the cars take flight on the slope towards mulsanne corner; are you working on it?

If any of you got the DPi pack from @Paulo Ribeiro, please make the Riley (the one thats clearly from SDD) acceptable.

It needs (IMO):

- New wheels
- Door animation
- New wipers (there are 2 but you need only 1 on these cars)
- New brakes texture
- Tyre skins
- Working lumirank on the doors

Hey Safi... Any chance you could put your handy camera skills to work on ERL's Circuito dos Cristais ? It's a good circuit that needs a little good help. :)

Here you go.
2 extra cameras which won't overwrite the original track camera in there. Unzip put into track data folder.

Absolutely love these Brazilian tracks, perfect for seeing the cars suspension work.
Now, knowing how sterile the PCars2 ffb feels (IMO) and how good the AMS1 / AMS2 is.....
Also knowing how sterile AC ffb is on these tracks with glass flat roads....
Is part of the joy in AMS these really well done Brazilian tracks and road mesh?
Or is the road mesh not converted over?
Just thinking out loud..
Basically is road mesh the important part of ffb feel?

Anyway, enjoy.
