The Zandvoort 2020 one which was available here and on RD was a rip from RF2. At least I learned this from the comments on RD so it was taken down after reporting from their site then.
I thought it was version 2020 based on original Kunos track. But it seems you are right - I found this video. It is definitely not based on the Kunos version of the track. But the links are not working. Does anyone have a working link?

Guys, anyone knows how to edit the driver's name on side rear windows?
I am in the process of making this skin for Patrick Marek 1998 BMW 320i STW.
Skin is loosely based on 1993 APTCC winner at Macau. I have tried to edit the file from other skins, but still not successful. The original name will still appears, no matter what I do to them. I am using photoshop cc btw.
Thanks in advance.

for 93 San Miguel car the drivers where : Joachim Winkelhock,Steve Soper,Charles Kwan which name were below the driver and passage mirrors

On windscreen banner 1 had red square 2 had blue square and 3 was white

To Change the rear window plate

set your canvas size to 256x128

set background to transparency

set font to helvetica has that was font use for most of touring car names on rear windows

Save the file has nplate.dds in your skin folder

that should change it to your chosen text

hi guys,
trying to have a constant 90fps in VR with around 20 car on the grid i would like to know from what size skin have a huge impact on fps because i can see often100mo skin ?
which app to use in vr like sidekick (suck fps or not?)
thanks
What VR headset are you using? If you are using the HP Reverb look into reprojectioning.

If frame rates drop below 69 or are erratic for a given time. SteamVR/NVidia will half the actual frame rate (45) and then interpolate/double it back up to (90). This eliminates all choppiness/stutter. You have to manually edit a file to enable. It made a big difference for me.

just delete that NLplate.dds and replace with this one [https://easyupload.io/m9qxo0] and this one you can edit..

Any link to the The Kunos+new curves track? I think the rf2 version is not very good locking.

Edit: Is it called F1 layout? If so I have the track.

Why didn't you just convert an already perfect one?

:banghead: I don't think there's been any successful ports from Project Cars, and only 1? From Gran Turismo 6 - needless to say, I lack the talent!

Also a conversion wouldn't be allowed on places like RD as it would technically be illegal.

Thank you! works like charm. The skin just need a bit tweaking before released

Without wanting to speak for someone else, I think if someone is willing to scratch make a track then they should be applauded.
Look, i am in the UK, I will most likely never go to the real Willow Springs.
If it is your local track, i get it, you see errors etc.
BUT for the vast majority it really won't be an issue that a few things are not 100% perfect.

I would hate to see a scratch track builder be pushed away from idiots on RD and where ever.
He is making some very interesting tracks, not all my cuppa tea, but certainly a few are.

People who convert tracks from other games are still free to do a better job and i'd look forward to it.

Just my 2 penneth.

No, I doubt so. I think Peter introduced this for 1.61 afterwards. There is no need to use 1.51 further since 1.61 is such a great process. The clouds are looking fantastic and no ugly 3d clouds any longer.

Gotcha, seems the uninstall.bat is only needed if you have 1.6> with the weathers and all.
Ugly clouds? Did the 3d ones go by the wayside?

Still like what what I was able to get in 1.5 (something) but its time to move on.

i quite like your version, nice flow, races well enough, good job. .but. The balloons.. way way way, way WAY, way waaaaay way way too many balloons.. ;)
I get worried FAA will arrest me for starting this track up.

Yeah, I don't like all those balloons... and I'm responsible for them and for creating the config. The idea of the balloon fiesta mod was a way to quickly add balloons to a track, but then to adjust their numbers down to something appropriate. Used in its default state there's really too many.
I've done some California-themed ballons for Willow Springs and a new WS blimp skin, plus a more sensible config. I'll get it uploaded to RD sometime soon and then @pk3r72owns can fold it into the next track update if he wants.

What track is that? Does it exist? Got a download link?

Greetings to all...

Finally... it's been announced, the V8 Supercars are back on 27-28 June @ Sydney Motorsports Park (formerly Eastern Creek). For more information visit www.supercars.com. Hope no drama unfolds in the meantime or otherwise it will undoubtedly be postponed again... With restrictions easing off gradually work-4-a-living time is resuming too - this will take some time as social-distancing also applies in transportation... a bit like having to walk on egg-shells for a while... take it easy all and be well...

Have been working on the latest ADVAN liveries for the Audi GT4, enjoy.

EDIT: liveries are matte-based colours (for gloss just rename/remove file: skin_00_map.dds from each skin-folder)

You overlook the following point:
In order to notice inaccuracies, it is not necessary to driving a track in real life. It is enough to have an exact virtual landmark. Let me cite the example of the Nurburgring GP: I studied it well in Granturismo 5, 6, where it is a laserscan. In the AC, the official content is also a laserscan. In Iracing - also a laser scan. All three versions correspond as closely as possible to the original, so moving from one simulator to another I don’t feel a discrepancy - the difference is insignificant. Until recently, in Rfactor2 there was no exact version of the Nurburgring GP, only a custom mod. I've tried driving it more than once, but it is too different from what I'm used to. Recently, an exact Nurburgring finally appeared in Rfactor2 - and everything fell into place. Now I can driving in all simulators on the same track. The same can be said of any other track.
This also works when it comes to the original Granturismo tracks. For example, the Tokyo 246 mod for AC. For those who are not familiar with this route in Granturismo, inaccuracy is not a problem. But they are unlikely to be interested in this track. But anyone who knows GT - immediately notices the discrepancy, and understands that this is not what he wants. I want to say that accuracy is very important. The comments made by people familiar with the track are not ideotic.

A request to our talented skin modders around here. Is someone able to re-create this livery from the 2012 24hr race at the Nordschleife?

24h-Rennen-Nuerburgring-2012-No25-169FullWidth-d362adde-597418.jpg

I would appreciate it a lot! :)

wouldn't say talented but keen to learn more and willing to try - but no promises please - due to now resuming work, studies and other stuff - will also need more pics covering off entire car if possible - it can be my first livery based on an authentic racing skin, and a Audi to top it off... send more pics and info when you're able to and lets evaluate then if we have enough to go by... cheers

They're relatively easy to remove if desired. Look for any Kn5 files roughly 1.2mb in size. Add an underscore in front of the filename, just in case a particular file isn't a balloon, and you need to add it back to the track.

I'm no expert in Willow at all, so I'm curious. Is the layout and the road surface ok? Is it just the decorations and scenery that is an issue?

Sorry, being a dumb nut. I meant the 2014 version. So please forget about the pictures I posted above.

There is also the VLN version available on RD, maybe a good base?

These shots here I did by myself at the Nordschleife in 2014, maybe it helps:

Shot 2 is the sister car #502.

No, these are not ingame. These are real shots this time. ;)

About kn5 name, my bad, I didn't zip my game folder.
For Grass FX, even if the original 1.23 is in the previous archive, I found that some mesh name has changed. Perhaps 3dsimed purge unused materials and objects is doing more than just purge. Nevertheless I fixed it.

For pitbox angle, I suppose that it allows more pit positions so I will let it as it was in original version.

here is my zipped game folder zandvoort 2020 so i'm sure it works as expected.

Thanks a lot! That fixes it :)

Mind me asking why it didn't work before for future reference?
