Zolder67 revisited, repackaged, reskinned. Please completely delete the old version of the track before installing. The zip includes the edited track and new skins. One skin called "Notta 'Fana' Mountains!' I made specifically for our friend @Fanapryde, as he let me know his home track of Zolder has NO surrounding mountains IRL.

Happy racing, my friends!

Does anyone have a link to a track called Pembrey for Assetto Corsa. One person posted cameras for it here and on
Race Dept, but for the life of me, I have searched online for the track and I cant find a download link for it. Thank you.

Thanks. Some grassFX maybe as well? Or some balloons? *cough cough*

... I did a test on Curitiba (ERL), the track is a disaster, I think I will convert it from scratch.
Thank you!
That'll be great. I felt in love with motoring sports watching races at this track, because I live in Curitiba. After a while, I started to register events there as a photographer, and wasn't a few, including the last WTCC presented in Brazil, many GT racings, Posrche Cup, Formula Truck, Stock Car, and so many other events. It was a dream come true and now, that the track is almost "dead" these memories are so nostalgic. I really loved it and miss it, a time I'll never forget.

Cheers

I used your preset for CSP, over the last few weeks I thought i had a good settings compromise, but there were a few stutters here and there etc.

Your preset is mega stable and i can run more AI, but it has more 'candy' settings clicked on?

I just don't get it? I love it! but yeah its bizarre.

I wonder as CSP is so big now and myriad of settings, that one wrong click of something can have a big effect.

But regardless, thank you for sharing your preset!
Works like a charm.

Hey, btw guys, disregard the version number I pulled outta my butt for Zolder67. It is definitely not at a 1.x state. We still have much to do to. Thanks to Fana and Fall Guy for letting me know. I wasn't really thinking when versioning.

I'm going to try and get with Fall Guy for grassfx help.
Fanapryde has a lot of good input that he's PM'd me from a personal viewpoint of the track.
I'm going to grab some vintage balloons from masscot.
I'll probably need some help with the lights... or I'll figure it out.
I missed the VAO patch on this version.

Glad you like it. Reg. the stutters: I recently (1 day ago) discovered that CamTool2 is very FPS hungry, even when it is just ticked in CM as "active". So better check that one before altering any settings graphical wise. Since I have updated the app with the latest stable patch it runs as silk again. 60FPS stable with 25 cars on the grid.

I´ve learned alot with apps beeing not that polite to the framerate....

Can I ask what your pc specs are? I'm still running an older version of sol and csp only got a gtx980 & I5 3470 so not sure if my machine could handle it

Without wanting to speak for someone else, I think if someone is willing to scratch make a track then they should be applauded.
Look, i am in the UK, I will most likely never go to the real Willow Springs.
If it is your local track, i get it, you see errors etc.
BUT for the vast majority it really won't be an issue that a few things are not 100% perfect.

I would hate to see a scratch track builder be pushed away from idiots on RD and where ever.
He is making some very interesting tracks, not all my cuppa tea, but certainly a few are.

People who convert tracks from other games are still free to do a better job and i'd look forward to it.

Just my 2 penneth.

It's not my local track, I'm not american either, but saw that track numerous times on Motor Trend and other shows and games ofcourse, and I quite like it.
So when there are already perfect models from other games, I don't see the point in making it from scratch. A scratch made track will never be able to compete laser scanned tracks.
I'd be fine with having a not 100% accurate track, but tbh that track looks like it's from a Gran Turismo 4. The textures and everything are just off. Looks cartoonish, unlike a real racetrack.
Having a 100% accurate racetrack would be amazing, since you could compare your times with real racing drivers on said tracks or just relive those car tests.
But like you've said, that's just my 2 cents.

I'm searching for:

> Peugeot 905
> Radical Sr8

Someone knows?

If you do this, for the most of mods, it really works. (thats how I got the most of my tracks and cars).

After googled it, I got the site that give this link.
https://mega.nz/file/IdgU1K4T#bS6v5F8WyglgvUWm7MPKBzHUgwCpYdg_nnRiOBwMLXk

Now, you can do the same for another cars. Albeit some mods we really can't find them and you are welcome to ask for them.

You know, 'Don't give the fish to the lad, give him a fishing rod and teach him how to catch fish'. ;)

Cheers

Just copy and paste this string inside weather.lua from extension/weather/sol replacing the highlighted ones from image here:

__sol__path = "extension\\weather\\sol\\"

TonySSS, is this fix needed for Alpha 5? I installed it this morning, but haven't had any issues. I am unable to find the old setting to disable 3d clouds though... hhhm?

Happy racing, my friends!

Happy driving... not at all !!!
I am just getting a tremendous pleasure to have a real and deep blast on the amazing works you did on it... I think I will not be the only one here, I’m so grateful ! 👍
I always appreciated a lot the track which kept some imperfections, the cars (old F1 here) feel alive as well.
It reminds some tracks (I have Jerez in memory) where driving on some parts needs, with recent Formula 1 (80’s and 90’s), some smooth touch on the throttle about vibrations and rudeness in our hands.
Some tracks need to get a smooth road (modern tracks for example) but some others have to keep some road imperfections.

Thank you so much !

Oh, hey, thanks for that. But my edits so far are really only visual. Credit goes to the original author as far as physics mesh and for putting out the track to begin with, etc. I'm glad you're enjoying it though. There are many more updates to come.

you are awesome! thank you so much!

The elevation might not be 100% but it's pretty damn close considering i'm a one man band on the other side of the planet.

I was going to say, for not actually scanning the track, you did a great job. Until we finish our version of WSIR we have been messing around with this track knowing it is a "fantasy" version of WSIR and couldn't be enjoying it more.

Why didn't you just convert an already perfect one?

Because there isn't a perfect one to convert? PCars version of the track is decent but far from accurate mainly towards the balcony. GT6 did it the best but that's because they scanned the track and actually had people physically there to take notes on all the variances. But even then converting from GT6 i don't even think is possible yet for most modders.

VRC is slowly but surely working on our version of WSIR that is scanned. I'll be testing it for them and I have 2000+ hours at the track so I'll be able to point out any nuances that aren't particularly "accurate".

O.T. Does anybody else share my appreciation of the virtual 24H race @ Le Mans yesterday? Fan-freakin-tastic! A hundred-and-seventy-five drivers in 37 countries! Two World Champion Drivers and many drivers you already know from F1, Indycar, WEC and even sim racing (like the eternal Gregor Huttu!) Well played! Sim racing has finally become Prime Time entertainment!

Sorry for being late to the discussion but... Totally agreed! I couldn't sleep because the race was freaking good! It made me want to do my own 24h of Le Mans in AC!

And that makes me ask the following: What's the best LeMans for AC that has day-to-night transitions?
