How does the grip level change?
On most wet tracks people use a different type of surfaces.ini, if they even use it and usually the track feels exactly like a dry track.
If the grip level changes to 70% dynamically, it's going to be amazing.
Does it work on all tracks, or is it only for specifically set up tracks?

I read that there is a physhics development along with the rain Fx module. Can't remember who is doing it but it is being done.
I suppose it will work on all tracks as other FX modules do.

What version of CSP do you use. I think this was introduced from 1.56 onwards. I don't remember that i had to add anything, it was already there. But hell, add it, no harm can be done. You will see in the race if it works.

Using 1.61. I added it manually and it works like a charm. Thanks again!

I use the recommended compression (LZW) often, especially after installing a lot of new mods. Yes, it does work, it's very reliable, and it really does compress very efficiently, not 50%, but more like 30-40% (100GB uncompressed, about 34GB compressed). For my sim PC, I have an i7 processor with Windows 10, and AC is installed on an SSD. In this case, because the compression is part of Windows and relies on the CPU, the compressed files seem to load slightly faster, but not so much that it's that significant. However, around 600GB of files compressed to about 240GB, that's the real benefit (and this is on a 500 GB SSD). If someone experiences longer load times with compressed files, it may be a hardware or other issue that's affecting it.

I also remove extra files, like Photoshop templates, and keep those on a larger HDD drive, where I keep all the original compressed mod files, as has been recommended by others.

Thx @imported_ApexVGear, My SSD is getting full so that"s why i asked, for me loading times are not a real issue, i am not in a hurry anyway.I was just wondering if programs like SOL or CSP are affected .

Yes, my home town! Looking forward to testing it in a few hours when I’m home. Selfishly, I hope the frame rate issue is only for VR.

Edit: just saw Fanapryde’s post. Uh oh.
i dont get any frame loss on my triples with a grid of 15 of @shaune Clarks excellent sr3's
(i9 990kf - 2080ti)

Ill try VR, but typically if it runs ok on the triples the VR is OK too in my setup.

Using LZW compression, I have no issues with SOL, SCP, or CM (as far as I know). Depending on contract and R&D work, I use my simulator almost every day. 95% of the time, everything works great, unless there's an issue with a mod or a CSP update that creates problems that are usually reported by others.

Lawdy halleluja. It finally clicked with me how to do the grassfx thing. Now my OCD is going to make me do it for every track in my collection that is great to race on, but bare as my ass with no grass.
Please share the instructions!... if it’s easy to create grassfx.

Good news for RHM users.../....

Well, I tried the new RHM (been using it for years only to stabilise the horizon).
It works but it does not save settings. On each startup I have to re-assign look left/right/up/down/back. I have no clue how these settings can be saved.
Since they were OK in the previous RHMAC version I reverted back.

Yeah, WRT fuel mileage, I'm only getting 30 kilometers out of 30 liters. Is that realistic?
Sorry for the OT, but this battle of 4 is very exciting:

great driving, great racing

You want to see this:

Very Cool, so we can now see rain outside the cars and not just on the windshield in cockpit view in Assetto Corsa.
Will this be done with the SOL and shaders patches, or is there another special app to do outside the car rain?
I know you say it is developement. thanks for the video and any info on how this is done.

Is anyone a member of this site here? https://assettocorsamods.net/forums/tracks.9/

I've been waiting and resending the confirmation email for about a year or more. I've contacted the site folks, but no reply. Anyone here have the strings to get my account validated?

Hi Teddie

I'm going to pm one of the admins about this have you received your confirmation email? If not have you tried registering with a different email address

Here's the reworked Audi V8 DTM if someone would like to test it and report.

Reworked:
Steering response/ratio
Gear ratios adjusted closer with adjustable final
Differential adjusted for better rotation while keeping stability
Minor suspension adjustments for better rotation
Tyre pressures adjusted
AI reworked
RPM Limiter adjust to real spec
Car is BoP'd to the Kunos 90's Touring cars. Power is now around original spec and weight is around original spec although I slightly adjusted to BoP.

Let me know if it's too fast. The original was fairly dominant. Skins are large so it's a big file. Got rid of unneeded textures in texture folder. I like the feel of this car. Not surprisingly it feels a bit like the Skyline R32 Group A I redid.

**This will not overwrite the original car so you can try them side by side

Hi, is this car no longer available?

No specific button in CM afaik, but the wiper control is ALT + W. If you want it with one button you could use JoyToKey (or similar). I have a button on my wheel that commands the wipers.
Lately I can activate them, but I can't deactivate with the same button like it used to be...

You can also use BLM car app.

Hi! I don't know if you already figured it out or if it applies to the issues you guys are having. But I've set a buttom on my wheel, too - on this setup page and disabled the auto wipers on SOL Plan selector (in game). This way, if I press the same buttom 4 times, it stops the wipers.

It would be a shame to have to throw away the Monaco Rallycross track after such fine work just because it is unusable with cars crashing with terrible AI. Please...can someone take on the AI challenge and save this beautiful track? Those SR3s should be great around there.
Thanks.

Have a night lighting question that I see a couple of tracks I have doing this.

On these tracks the lighting turns abruptly on only when I get to or approach each section of the track. And goes off after leaving that section
The lighting does not stay on all the time while driving on the tracks. Kind of a weird effect, it is like a switch turns them on when I get to each section.
What in the config files do might I look at to make the night lighting to possibly make them work better?
Thanks for any info.

I saw nothing terribly wrong with the AI lines, but the side lines were way too forgiving, allowing the AI to believe it was ok to drive through barriers in places. Here are new side lines that narrow the drivable areas, especially around corners, and allows clean races. I did test a 5-lap AI race with Shaun's Radical and it was clean.

Unzip and drop the two side line files in the track's data folder.
