hiya Dave re: CTRL+C

got into strife in a race when accidently pressed this combination in a dark room... and regrettably no way of getting the AI out of the car... annoying... to the point of removing the assigned character from settings - its never happened again by mistake...

Thank you @racealot for finding where that setting is located. I looked online and the AC game hotkey settings listing, they dont even mention
"Toggle AI" as one of them, unless that is just a Content Manager thing. I found out about this hotkey by reading something else.

Note: also thank you for mentioning what cars you use to do AI lines. I tried out Shauns' SR3 v1.5 and it is a nice driving car. I like the car cause it is a convertible type race car and can see around very well in VR.

take care,
Dave

@__EASY__ I've done an overhaul of the billboards including quadrupling their resolution so will get it uploaded to RD (so it remains permanent - my links are always temporary) - is it OK if I include your grass config and new trees as they look so good? I'll obviously credit you.
I've done some other tweaks to distant mountains etc.

No problem or can be directly integrated the textures in the kn5 and reupload a new version, when think you ?

since you make something for a paid mod that someone else created ,you are intercepting to his work, thats why you should get his permission ,even an extension folder or flames ,but i guess logical is like we want and not how it supposed to be ,a **** high and watch sittuation !!
No author wants people to ask permissions for skins tho... how would that be a negative thing for the author? You are actually helping him adding stuff to his mod without editing it. Editing something without permission is bad. What are you editing while creating a skin? Flames are different, they overwrite the ones made by the author and for configs, if thee mod doesn't have one you can make one on your own and it won't overwrite anything. Just use logic to understand what you should ask for permission first. If that wasn't your point then I'm sorry, that's what I understood

3D model by Polyphony Digital, converted and edited by SATLAB
Skins and Textures by SATLAB
Physics by SATLAB
Sounds by Kunos (Ferrari F138)

What's new (compared to v0.8)
  • New aero and suspensions physics: the car is faster, has more downforce and a lot less understeer (faster than F2004... as it should be according to Poliphony Digital)
  • New tyres model
  • Added Bridgestone logo on the rear wing low side
  • Fixed some materials issues
  • Fixed some setup bugs
  • Added new skins (there are14 skins in total based on the original skins in GT6)

Known Issues:
  • No AO inside the rims
  • Front Toe in the setup menu works inversed... (+ decrease the toe, - increase the toe... sincerely I'm still asking myself why this happens)
The mod will be soon available also on Assetto Land

Enjoy it :)
Very nice and many thanks. Will be great when you get that toe issue sorted. Constructively, I'd like to suggest you put numbers on your skins. Could you please? Maybe it is old school but it does add to competitive immersion. Thanks and keep up the good work- it is appreciated.

Thank you very much! Of course I will add some numbers (even if they are not present on the original GT6 skins) :)

It's even easier to lose track of time in VR. Crew Chief must be sick to death of me asking him "what time is it..?".
Unfamiliar with its features but have read it mentioned in previous posts... Here's a thought... Can it be used as a reminder? Like, to set off some hideous sound /voice reminder "Time's up buddy!!!" or like "You're really stretching this covid stuff a little, give it a break!!!"

Btw if you wanna create your own skins in the meantime I’ve included the skin templates in the mod ;)

I just had a drive in this round the newly refurbished Aviano and it was actually a lot of fun. I am in no way a good driver and not a huge fan of Formula 1 style cars but I really enjoyed lapping in this. I'm sure it needs a bit of tweaking and I have no clue about toe in or out but yeah out the box it felt good to me.
Keep working on it but as it is it's great fun (for me anyhow) to razz about in

A wee integrity check later and the Kunos sounds are back ! As simple as that. URD and RSS mods are still shagged beyond salvation but I'll get there.

Glad to hear that did the trick... One annoying aspect of this vital-process that crosses me and perhaps others is that it resets any post-mod-update-settings to Kunos content (cars primarily), like for example a sound-mod update to a Porsche or the like...

I've read in a past post about keeping a fresh steam download copied onto another drive /folder if not available (and storage space) and conduct your own re-install, being about 40GB... AC updates are infrequent, and you'll also not be dependant on the internet or steam or this great thread to assist and so forth... to-date that idea is currently paying off, saves time... have made some post changes like, updating all previews (cars), mod-updates to Kunos content and whatever else, and have that as an updated-version copied onto a backup drive.

(fresh Kunos content + user.modifications = user.root.backup.version) kind of raising the standard baseline for a complete new re-install...

additional content such as tracks, cars, configs etc would then be added from a master.backup which can be created incrementally or all-at-one-time...

CM, SOL, CSP folders --> fresh drag-n-drop

Nothing like that. Just installed some F1 mods this morning.

Must have missed an earlier post about having installed some mods, were this involved in your dire-situation?

I don't think so... No conflicting files whatsoever. Ah. As long as it works now eh ?

Ok I apologize for being that direct and not even introducing myself. Hope you can forgive me my instant mistake , and I know it was rude to instantly ask for mods. So hello I am a 20 year old car enthusiast from Bosnia , I love older cars and especially japanese ones. Active Assetto Corsa player since 2018 but not that good of a driver. My dream car is the AE86. I guess this small introduction should be enough and again sorry ..
appreciate the re-introduction as many would have by now read it... it is also highly-suggested to perform content-search before requesting by using the search function located top-right of the site page... hint: there's alot still active... do your worst and enjoy...

im chill mate ,but i want the rules to work for everyone not only for somebodys ,i know there are groups of friends suporting each other,
im just saying what i believe ,if that is not legal im done ..👍

I can relate... That bond-perception that may seem apparent to many is the community collaboration at work, great heights have been achieved by co-op on this thread... particularly if you're a keen enthusiast, at any level, be it just cars, racing, liveries, it is so diverse and cumbersome all at the same time, and mostly enjoyable... hope to see you more involved and forget the rest... cheers

Wow, Race department is quick in taking down items. Anyone know did they take down his account also?
I will check on that. He had another track besides the city tracks. I got that one also.

Yeah they took down his account.

@Teddie
To everyone that didnt get the CITY tracks.

I will archive the files and see if I can compact them all into one big file. I will put it up on my GOOGLE drive for a couple weeks and then take them down. If someone would like them after that in the future, I can put it back up temporarily.

The download link for the tracks will be up in about in a little bit.

Here are all the City tracks in one link. File size about 990 MB
Barcelona, San Francisco, Dubai, Miami,Paris, and added bonus Linas
Enjoy

take care,
Dave

hi Guys, since that this version of miami have a altrnative layout from the version of ACU, it is possible to port this layout on ACUs version?( both version was ported from the same game i think) and if yes, how to do that?. thanks in advance!!

Thank you very much m8! I really appreciate it :)

When I notice one of my hard drives is down to 6 Gigabytes of free storage...

then I remember years ago when I was excited to buy a new, just released, 500 MEGABYTE drive for my PC.

Yes, I'm showing my age. Still room for more mods.
I made the stupid decision of downloading AC to my SSD rather than my steam library on my hard drive so now I’m constantly deleting mods to make room

Hello guys, there is someone among you who is able to fix this car ( Lotus 23 B) that has interiors that are really worthwhile!! It might have the numbers to be a nice car but it also has some flaws in setting the set up.
I trust that some of you take care of it and release an update of this model.

cool Q...

it's an overlay app (CAM Launcher) that monitors FPS, CPU, RAM performance real-time... and the local TIME that is constantly is your face so other life-activities are not neglected... and to remind (moi) to stop and get some shut-eye by no later than 03:00hrs

crucial notifications that can be seen on the fly so that the CPU or GPU don't blow up...
as some of the gaming content can be CPU & GPU killers (particularly ill-optimised content)...

View attachment 940774

edit: the app to the right is Win Media Player - always got to have some upbeat music flowing in the background - music is good for the soul... plus can also assist with driving (just like IRL)...

you did what to Eastern Creek??? (now known as Sydney Motorsport Park).
thank you in advance, will try your rework-update later this evening and provide feedback thereafter...
this is my local go-to IRL...

really like this intro to the thread... NEW members - please take lead from this message...
retrospectively that was moi 2-3 years ago... and now, in the thick of it all and enjoying it...

keep reading and do attempt to get involved in any way... start slow and build from there... 👍

don't use this feature currently but did have it mapped previously... you may already be aware of this but here's a probable culprit that may not necessarily be CSP related...

View attachment 940777

I would not have the time to look back when racing... currently just using rear/side mirrors and the good old proximity detection feature - that would be sufficient to know a bogey is on your tail...

plus IRL I would not like to turn my head around and risk losing focus of what's in front (other than just confirming an empty adjacent space before swapping lanes IRL, etc)

quick Q... in what other circumstances would this feature be handy in AC???

shouldn't be an issue... as it geared (BOP'ed) to be a compatible GT3 mod...

Not every day we have a 5 posts in a row. :dopey:
