Guys, the track "Special Stage Route 5" that was posted earlier today has some issues with its surfaces.

Drop and overwrite the surfaces.ini I've attached. remove "txt" from the filename as usual.

Basically fixes some really bad heavy steering oscillation in the pit lanes. Also adds actual road surface values so the road has a normal grip level.

Cheers,
Teddie

Thx a lot Teddie, I am trying to drive it with F40 and prove to be very challenging and too slow speed to enjoy , will try your one !

Just a quick skin for the Streets of Willow track on Racedepartment. Sorry for the quicky. In some pain tonight.

This is the skin only. Drop it in the track folder.

Both of these tracks are very much WIP so it might be worth submitting these to the respective authors on RD for inclusion in future updates?

It's my bad, man. Just grabbed them today and I was just making them worth me keeping on the ol' drive. I wasn't really thinking. I'll make sure to do that from now on.

Guys, these are the PolyCode tracks I have. I've read in some earlier threads that there are perhaps PolyCode tracks that are pay-mods. Does anyone have information on how to purchase their tracks. I can't read Chinese and the translations on the video site are not really helpful.

Also, if anyone needs any of these, they're somewhere in our big ol' thread here. If you can't find one that you need, let me know and I'll post it up for you.

@EvilGloomy is a friend of PolyCode so maybe try hitting him up. He's still around.
This is the one I'd REALLY like to try, but it was apparently a private commission for the track owners.

Tap your F1 on your keyboard to cycle through your views, there's only one cockpit view that you can adjust seat height
Thank you for your response.
I think one of the inside cameras is missing. I only have one. Yet I allowed everything, it's strange, I used to have 2 camera positions seen from the seat?

Ferrari 500 TRC By Dragster666

took a bit since it was a different model its from rr3 managed to do the gauges myself same with the steering animation i even managed to do a shifting animation it might be clunky bet eh its my first time i will probably also experiment with shift_up and shift_dw on a manual gearstick ill need to separate the gearstick then it might be easy i think. There are only 3 issues with the car they are as follows:
The sound MIGHT but just MIGHT be inaccurate since i couldn't find a Ferrari I4 i had to choose the new i4 from the Focus RS yes i know but i didn't want to copy/paste an V12 because its a Ferrari! the second issue is the driver's legs i think that i forgot to position them however i don't think that they outclip from the car since i repositioned the driver i could be wrong. And finally there's some weird flickering on one of the metal objects not sure what's causing it but its barley noticeable.
Anyway enjoy it!

Love your mods mate. Will you update the 996 pack ? The matte colours are a bit... Jarring.

I posted this on RD, but am wondering if anyone here can help who may have experience with this.

I'm setting up a championship with DTM 90s cars (Tommy78's, Kunos's, and the recent Audi). I've BoPed the entire grid to something that seems right (Tommy 78's cars are by default a lot faster BTW).

I've added balast and restrictor to my car in order to do a championship with DTM 90s cars (the DTM 90s cars -their AI- are fairly slow).

I'm using CM and creating a grid preset with various of the DTM 90s cars being BoPed and adding ballast and restrictor to my own car. The problem is that whatever handicap I set to my car doesn"t seem to make any difference in championship (it seems to work for a quick race though). The balast & restrictor applied to the AI to BoP them does seem to apply/work though.

So i'm 2, 3 secs faster than the entire grid. I even upped my balast from the reasonable 85 to 300 just to check - it made no difference. :(

Any tips?

@MrB00 Ooooh. Look what's lurking in the image at the bottom of this page on Race Department. Isn't that the unicorn you seek? Maybe it is out there somewhere, hiding in the fantastical forest of AC mods.

I've been here in this forum for some time, but this is my first post here. And I'm here just to say some curiosities about this image that I like quite a lot.
I am from Brazil and this image (almost sure it is an AMS2 picture) is from an old, beautiful and good Brazilian racing championship. This championship had some different names, but it is known here in Brazil as "Campeonato Brasileiro de Marcas e Pilotos" (Portuguese). This championship was very popular in the 80's and in this picture you can see a VW Passat MK1 (blue and white) and an Fiat Uno (red). It is interesting to know that Brazilian Fiat Uno is quite different from European Fiat Uno. It is almost another car.
Another car very popular on this fantastic championship was the Ford Escort MK3, MK4 and MK5 (all 3 FWD). The Brazilian project VW Gol and VW Voyage (VW Gol sedan) was also there. The VW Gol is a very important car here in Brazil as it was the best-selling car for a lot of years. And I am almost sure that the 80's and 90's VW Gol was a very unique Brazilian project as it was developed in Brazil and it was not produced outside Latin America.
I could say much more about 80's Brazilian cars and Brazilian car racing, but I think it is enough for a first post. Hope you like it.

Hello,
I have just a quick question on these great gokart skins which say they are for the Mini 917. The actual gokart folder name is Trento Superkar 917. These skins do work

Hi @Teddie Is that LaoDaoHe Speedway an Oval track? If so, I would like to see what it looks like?
The others look like Road Course tracks - Would like to see the JingSu Turbo Circuit also if you may have it.

thank you and take care,
Dave

Unfortunately I think that is a mk1 or one of those Brazilian Gol things but it's ok I have it covered. Thanks for thinking of me though

I might have a go at converting one myself now I have a decent tutorial to follow and a copy of 3dsmax but I need lots of patience and I don't have much of that

In fact, that is the first gen VW Passat (B1 platform), manufactured in Brazil from 1974 to 1988.

Paris City Track - just reposting this smaller archive containing this track.
Note: for those that have the track- there are no changes from original post of track - so you dont need this.

Seems for some - my other City track link is too big for them to load and just got one request for the Paris track.

File size 320 Megbytes

Notes:
Track has great city graphics - may need improvements
no good pit area - pit stalls are on part of the main street.
no working pit stalls- no highlighted pit box for user.
No night lighting.
I dont know how good the AI racing is on track. May need work.
I dont remember how good replay cameras are.

So here is the link below for Paris City track: I will keep this link up temporarily for a while and then take it down.
take care.

I lurk a lot (like multiple times everyday, every week, every month) around here and am on top of thread but man, this spreadsheet is such a good and kind thing to do. No way am I ever moving on from Assetto anytime soon and what you've done is to help keep Assetto alive - so thanks for this.

And btw before I forget - I've said it before and I'll say it again, the modding being done by the guys on this thread is awesome. Gawd, I'm lurking so much I feel like I know all of you and am part of this thing going on here. It's the highlight of my day this thread - this thread or time with the wife, yes, this thread wins!

Let's hope Mrs. Pencil doesn't follow this forum.

This track is already being improved/optimised, just in case anyone was thinking of taking it on. Have patience, good things come to he who waits.
