Hi
the same thing always happens, the specialists who know everything, it is very easy to criticize, you know how to make mods?, you know about their difficulty! I am a modder amater, you only want the mods, the best things possible, fast and free, the same thing happens every time I want to share something with people, criticize, criticize,Thanks to you, I am not going to share this mod, I imagine you have not seen the other video of the F1600 with the new update, in September I wanted to share with you the conversion of the nissan gtr gt3 from the assetto competizione, I will no longer share, because I'm sure you will say that it sucks! Then nothing, private mod, and ACC gt4 too, private mods! thxxx!
I'll say just two things. I don't know how old you are, but if you didn't learn this already, you certainly will in the future: respect is earned, not demanded. And no, likes on social media are not a sign of respect.

And second, critique is a part of every day life and can be the best thing that happens to you. Cause you can learn from it and become better. At anything you will ever do in life. And you should actually be happy that you get it. When people stop criticising you, that means that they don't give a **** about you or what you do. And with your attitude this is exactly the way you are headed.

This new CSP rain is unbelievable. The rain streaming down outside the car isn't just a jazzy effect using lines, they are actual droplets, and each one refracts light like a real water droplet. Pause a race in VR to freeze time and hit F7 and it's some real Matrix shizzle - you can fly anywhere around the environment in bullet time surrounded by suspended droplets. It's wild.
This is just one single raindrop near the back of a car on the other side of the track. Trippy!

What does it do to performance? Any noticeable fps drop?

I really like this track. I would define it as "the charm of simplicity". However, I think the track has a serious problem: AI is very slow. It seems like she's having a hard time getting past the chicanes fast enough, and also crashes into the chicanes tire walls quite often. I don't know if anyone has already addressed that problem.

I have never tried it with AI, it seemed perfect for a test track (speed and a few corners) so have only used it as that!

Those chicanes would be a nightmare for AC AI.

Thanks.
The Golf GTI just seems to be the Golf R but with a Comic Sans numberplate and weird overexposed jpeg instrument cluster and satnav (and different engine specs, of course). Are there not bodywork, trim or wheel differences between the two cars in real life?
(the numberplate and instruments can just be deleted from the skin folders if you prefer)

Hi,

The main differences between both, are;

GTI: fwd, 220bhp, 5000€ cheaper
R: awd, 270bhp, 5000€ more expensive (obviously). :D

There are a few things more. The 'GTI' and 'R' badges, trims and gearboxes. I'm sure some minor stuff aswell.

i tried it,but this car have a bad sound

You can try to elaborate a kind of limit features for a car and send to all modders. That way, they will release the mods, with your obligations.
The other option is to try to find a better sound, in CM feature. But that takes time and work.

:confused::crazy:💡:nervous::lol:

And now, how can people fall asleep well tonight? Hmmm?? :dunce:

Now, you will be responsable for making me launch other games. I was playing AC and GT Sport for weeks only.
Now F Ford, I have to play PCars2 or Automobilista.
Now ACC Nissan GTR GT3, I have to play ACC.
Now ACC GT4, guess what, I have to play ACC.

Btw, it sucks, what you are about to do. :)

PS. Now seriously. Well, I was seriously before too.
Anyway, for me and a few lads here at GTP, almost 100% of the time we don't criticize the mods.
And a few of us, when criticize, are almost with a positive and helpfull intentions.

Cheers

Maxspeed can be better in certain circumstances, I know I used it a lot on the Mountain Route to stop the faster road cars from getting too much air but I find it's pretty rare that it's better than the normal Hint.

The Brakehint I believe (don't quote me on this) just adjusts how hard the AI brake in a particular braking zone, it's used in quite a few Kunos tracks at values like 0.85 which I assume allows the AI to take a faster entry where it's been tested that they can handle it.

Danger is actually very useful, you define short term side boundaries with it to basically stop the AI from getting too close to either walls or each other. I've used it quite a few times on several tracks, particularly on circuits with fast chicanes to get the AI into single file and stop curb jumping.

Lastly, do yourself a favour and don't look to Gilles for any examples of good AI programming. If you want to take stock of someones work then as has been mentioned many times, look at some of @LiquidSkyMan 's work or have a look at the hints in Kunos tracks or those of people like Fat Alfie. That's not meant as a dig at you btw, I'm learning almost every time I lay down a new fast lane, just try to learn from the right people. 👍

Great, Thanks for all the information @KevinK2 . Understand about Gilles and him doing AI. I also learned lately from @racealot that doing the fast lane at slow speeds does not do the fast lane line zone markings correctly - produced mostly just a yellow line around the track. Doing the fast lane at the normal speeds puts the proper green, red, and yellow zone lines around the track. Before I was more concerned about the line and not the speeds.

take care.

Oh my God, you certainly did!! Sorry for before, didn't know how far you were with development. Downloaded and just did a few laps. This is amazing. Excellent job. Track elevations, mesh, curbs, fence, spot on. Wow. The surrounding of course need work, but the hardest part has been done. I'm like a kid for christmas.

Here my first lap on a laser scanned track for all to see how far this is already:

Now to convince you, to do this with Suzuka.

This is amazing. I didn't think we could do tracks or cars from ACC. I take it the FM7 Bathurst track is not laser scanned. I have ACC but havent tried the game up since all the recent updates. I think the Bathurst track is a DLC which I haven't gotten yet, correct? Thanks for showing us the video.

Zolder and Paul Ricard would also be great...

you mean using 3ds?
3ds would be an option, but I wouldn't know cause I don't use it and don't do mods.
Otherwise you could perhaps try with 3dsimed, isolate object/mesh, separate/remove unwanted polys, save it as a newly named object and add it to the car. Then make an additional (rgb) light in lights.ini. or in ext config.

I'm feeling a little "moist" right now, if you know what I mean. ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

The new rain effects do look amazing.

Guess it's time to build another sim-PC with an i9 CPU and RTX 2080 Ti.
I've been wanting to get a new MB with multiple PCIE ports for SSD drives anyway.

Finally got to grips with GRASSFX! (its well easy)

autodromo_sincordia_sudamericano
basic grassfx config. Add to track folder.

Plus skin to remove ugly grass tufts plus darken the trees a bit.
Dead easy to change the height and size etc in the extension if not to your taste.
Simple to add even easier to delete if not happy.
Can not for the life of me remember where i got this track, but most likely from on here somewhere, sorry.

Sorry, where is this track? it was deleted from RD and i saw 1-2 mega links but they are down, someone could share this? thank you!

...

How is the interior? That's wat worries me, cause I doubt its up there with the URD.
I dont look at the interior much tbh, so no words for that. But the sound is something weird, its not bad, it just takes getting used too. its also a bit loud. But I kept it in to differentiate it from the URD

Hi all i¿I dont know if you ever play GPBIKES well the track MOTEGI in that SIM is great my question is the Motegi mod track that is for sale is Great ? or not cos i think is 16 dollars for that mod.

sorry 4 my english

OCD won't let me sleep actually...

First thank you @safi hellie for the grass fx addition.

Just an observation on the Grass fx:
Correct if I am wrong Safie, The grass effect i get is very high and cant hides the interior track objects. Are you seeing the same thing?
I dont think you provided for the cut grass every Thursday option like some other tracks do, So I thinks the height I see stays that way.

So i just lowered the "height_multiplier: value down to 0.9 so I could see the interior structures and other objects better.
take care.

I respect anyone that takes the time to develop a mod, especially someone that's just getting started and learning as they go. We would know about your work if you shared your mods and asked for help from others in the community to improve them. Shaun might even help with the physics to improve and finish the Formula Ford mod. Then, after producing a few mods and gaining experience, you could realistically build your Youtube subscribers and everyone would anticipate your releases. Once you produce good mods, you might even be able to charge for them, and after you've established a good reputation, you'd probably be successful.

As for ACC mods, several excellent high-quality mods have been created and shared for most of the GT3 cars, and I'm sure we'll be seeing the GT4 cars from others very soon. A quality Formula Ford mod would be nice to have in AC, and I'm sure it's only a matter of time before we see one, whether it's your mod, or likely, from someone else. Overall, as is, choosing not to release your mods and ask for help--you're missing out on several opportunities.

I've been a part of sim-racing for over 20 years (GTPlanet screwed up my profile), and I'm part of a real world endurance racing team. I produce 3D models for use in Unreal Engine and VR, as well as parts for 3D printing prototype and production parts. I even designed and produced real-world-use parts for the team's race car. At the moment, I'm too busy with releasing new products, but I plan to develop and produce mods in the future when I have the time... and I will be asking others in the community for help with AC-specific questions when I need it.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaw we won't get your ACC conversion ? Oh bother ! Please, PLEASE I beg you - we're all nice here ! PWETTY PWEASE.

@Xray69, do not be discouraged... continue with your works and learn to adapt your way of thinking of the term 'critique' - it comes in all shapes and forms throughout ones' life, and at the end of it all, will make you an improved modder/professional with a positive reputation (paid or not paid-mods)... Don't usually get on the band-wagon with such topics, nevertheless, it needs some airing, empathy to an extent, and the communitys' support. For now, take a break, think positive and get creative... And do return to the www-sandpit of AC modding to share your toys...

UPDATED LIGIER JSP3

Updated the Ligier JSP3 from ACSFK to be more realistic

Changes:
- More accurate power figures
- New gearing (matches IRL gearbox)
- updated suspension slightly
- Includes new 2020 ELMS skins by @gladbecker82

Enjoy!

Thank you !

My two cents :
- Pseudo interior windshield
- RPM led's glow removed
- Better seat position
- Adjusted ONBOARD_EXPOSURE (adapted to 16/9 screens and 54° FOV)

:(:( Anyone know how to fix the hands? I don't like my LMP cars to be hands-free. :P
