This track I found thanks to the post with loads of kart tracks from _arg0naut_: .
Just freshened up tarmac/rumble strips, darkened trees, grass fx with a Spanish dry look.
Did camera as ones with it are not even near the track.

Oh man - that's looks a great difference. Some of the tracks look better than others so an improvement on this is very welcome. I can't get to my pc until tomorrow so if you could leave the megalink up until then that would be great and appreciated!

I’ve done exactly this, and this is what I use for that kinda thing:

You select the RSS mod, make a ‘tune’ and name the tune after the power unit supplier. I’ve named them after their respective factories

I made one named Wolfsburg for the Volkswagen mod found here:
https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/vw-motorsport-r-line-formula-hybrid-x-2021.31321/

Then just manually sort out the SFX files for the correct engines using this mod here:
https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/f1-megapack.34079/

But as a heads up, I found the Formula Hybrid X 2021 sound to be more ‘Hondary’ than the Honda sound in the pack

thx mate !

Wolfsburg is my hometown so thx for the link to the vw skins haha

For the Ones looking after Sebring 70s ... here it is...

if someone can improve it feel free to do so

Very nice post. 👍 So much so, that now I'm gonna have to give this car another shot (would of driven it anyway of course, but now I'm gonna have to give it proper treatment and take special attention to driving and set-up, something I confess did not do to full extent on initial testing, and usually do only on mods that make it on my top driving list). To me when a car doesn't feel right from the start on default setup, I usually don't even bother diving very deep into setups and tweaking as I learned that even though you can do a lot to improve the way it drives for your style of driving, that feeling never goes away. I know, I know, I might miss on a gem here and there because of this kind of thinking, but there is just so many mods out there, and excellent ones at that, that one can not loose time and dwell for days and days trying to find a setup and settings that make you fall in love with car.

But this is what I meant before, that we need more in depth opinions on paid mods, cause everybody can not do full in depth testing to every car that comes along, It would take 24/7 to do that, and very few of us have so much time. And because of that, we all probably miss quite a few excellent mods in the process.

I still think graphically the model is not good. Even sub paar I would say for a paid mod. That opinion I'm not gonna change. It's sloppy and a lot of corners have been cut. And usually if you cut corners here, you cut them elsewhere as well.

Anyway thanks for the post again. I always appreciate when I get a well formulated and argumented disagreeing opinion. I believe you learn the most from those, and that no matter if they are right or wrong.

Thank you Ales, nice post :)

I will actually do a side by side video today of your video and mine of the acc conversion and post it here.

I apologize if you've already mentioned this - but is your Mount Panorama available to the public? Been looking for a good version for AC for years.

Thanks mate

Assetto and rain, my random thoughts on modding...
mostly based on my GTR2/GTL/RACE modding

rain tires had grip levels above 1.0 and heated up very easy if ran on dry
I believe the game adjusted the tire temp coefficient of the water cooling effect, the track defined the grip in wet

this suggests the following for AC:
1. tires can be made easily
2. tracks will need to be designed for rain in regards to both grip level and temps, unless CSP can incorporate this

Very good.
Even better with FFBMult raised to something like 4.4

Btw, it has the same "problem" than the kuno's AC Cobra : with "car instruments" extension active, the arrow jump from one position to the next.
It can be solved by disabling some options (in red) :View attachment 943529

I think that extension is replicating pulse tachometers that were used in some vintage racing cars back in the day. The jumping from one point to another like that is what the extension is intending to replicate. Even though I primary drive historic cars, I usually leave it off as not all cars had them back then and I can never get used to it.

It's not my track. Lenatrix converted it from ACC. It's very much a WIP, no AI, textures and object around the track are missing or not finished, but for practise it's already pretty much done. Anyway Jim Lloyd has now taken over finishing it up and it's just a matter of time till we get a proper laer scanned nice looking Bathurst. Lenatrix posted his gdrive WIP folder a few pages back. You'll find the link inside:

thanks to norms for the new version and remarks

I remember there was an updated version on RD done by @PepperoniAC24 some months ago so does this version here have included these fixes or will it overwrite them?

Thanks Safi for your Kart track updates and look forward to any others you might do . There might be a few more that are not on arg0naut list.
I like SIM Karting tracks cause my Dad an I used to race a Kart long ago on several Chicagoland area tracks. i wish Assetto Corsa had rolling starts and formation laps like the new AMS2. take care
